I chopped off about 1/3 of this bar so I would be able to use it again. At first, it was great! Thick lather, lots of bubbles, and amazing mild scent. Actually, if you told me this was a Patchouli bar I wouldn't believe you. I'm an avid Patchouli user and I can't smell it at all, though the bar still smells very clean and earthy, which is a plus.
Anywho- rubbing the bar between my hands to break it up was promising, as it was very moisturizing and slick. As I continued to enjoy my bath, I ran a finger over my thumbnail (as a force of habit) and was disappointed to find that it cleans SO well, it over-dries. UNDERWATER! That sure was surprising.
Fifteen minutes later the bubbles are gone, but there is a light film of lather on the top of the water and it is still coconut-milk transparent, and the scent lingers. It made my skin feel really... Odd, to be honest. Otherwise, it seems like a good product, but it probably won't be something I keep in my Lush stash on a regular basis.
By the way- BE CAREFUL when you get out of the tub! I could barely sit up in the water it made the bottom so slippery.

I totally love the smell of this bubble bar. I cocktail it with Lily Savon soap and you get a lovely, mid-century, chypre type scent. If they made a fragrance with this, I'd get it. Okay, I'd get a few (or a bunch!). Elegant lovely product.

I received a few of these for Christmas, and I don't like the scent at all. After I bathe with Hot Milk, I can smell it on my skin until I shower the next day. The scent just isn't for me, it doesn't smell very milky. It's mostly pachouli and citrus. The bubbles are plentiful and it definitely locks moisture into my skin. I probably wouldn't purchase anymore of these for myself.

Meh, this milk is more like lukewarm to me. Used half a bar and there wereplenty of bubbles first but they went away in 15 min. The smell lingered on my skin for a couple hrs so that's not too bad. Still the entire experience is just kinda underwhelming... I'd rather take a regular old shower with my sultana...

I love this bubble bar and would highly recommend it to anyone. The scent is very relaxing so it's definitely good to use before bed. My skin felt soft and moisturized when I got out of the tub. I broke the bar in half and still got tons of bubbles out of each half. If this product weren't out of stock I would buy more!!

Since the name and description of Hot Milk? seems to lend itself to the autumn and winter months, I saved it for Thanksgiving weekend, figuring I could use an escape from the general madness. And what an escape I had! This is one of the best bubble bars I have tried - copious bubbles and a soothing, spicy fragrance. My skin feels silky smoothe, and my mind is in a happy place. I loved this so much that I plan on buying more as gifts for the holidays.

I got this in my first lush order after changing my order list several times. I'm not sure how I thought to order it since I usually don't like anything with patchouli, but I'm so glad I did. It doesn't remind me of patchouli at all and it has scent that I find very relaxing. In fact it was first lush experience. Guess it's true. You always remember your first :)

This is the first retro item that caught my eye and really made me want to order something online instead of just going into the store. When I finally got the product I was just a little uncertain about the smell of it but it quickly grew on me. I just took a bath and used half a bar, I had to swish the water around an awful lot to get any bubbles at all but oh man did it smell good!
I was debating on whether I should take a bath with the mango bath melt or the hot milk bubble bar and decided on the bubble bar since I didn't need the heavier moisturizing of the mango bath melt.
This bubble bar left my skin perfectly moisturized. Soft and dry, not oily at all, I'm prone to body breakouts after a moisturizing bath but this just leaves me feeling clean.
The scent is wonderful and light. I have allergies to a lot of perfumes and this isn't so overwhelming that it gives me a headache like most everything else. If you're looking for a smell that hangs around like a perfume all day this isn't it, but it's perfect for me.

I just feel like the description Lush described wasn't accurate to the product. It smelled like a really pungent citrus almost like Lysol. The bubbles didn't last long at all, not nearly as bubbly as the Karma bubble bar.

The main thing I think is inportant in most Lush reviews is...how does it smell? Well, to me, this smells exactly like Aqua Marina. I'd forgotten that. I bought one of these through Lush UK along with Milky Bar about five years ago, and I remembered I'd liked them both, but I hadn't remembered how much they smell like Aqua Marina, minus the seaweed. So, if you like Aqua Marina, yay! If not, you might want to skip this one.

I just bought this bubble bar and fell in love. I love the patchouli scent and the orange color. The bubbles you get from this bar are outstanding. Sooooooooooo many, and they last forever. Seriously, when they did finally deplenish all I had to do was swish my hand around in the water and it created more bubbles that lasted just as long. I will definitely be buying this again!

The only downside to this bubble bar is the size. Although yes, a little goes a long way I'm just not too happy that with how much I love this product I will only get a few uses out of it. :( I guess for them it's a good marketing technique though since I love it so much that I will buy more lol :)

I'm still in mourning over hot milk being discontinued. It was hands down my favorite lush product and was for several of my friends. Hope it will pop back up under retro. Please bring back!

I absolutely Love this bubble bar! Its my favorite!

I can't say that I think it smells anything like milk, but it does smell very fresh, and boy it is VERY relaxing. I wish it were the size of the comforter so I could get more than three uses per bar, but I will just have to buy 5 of them next time I make a purchase.

i just love this bubble bar. It smells so warm and smooth like a hot cup of milk. This is the perfect bubble bar too warm you up on a cold winter night.It makes your skin smooth and silky. I love this bubble bar and it is one of my favorites so snuggle up in a milky bath and enjoy.

I bought this a while ago and forgot about it. When I took my bath today I dug it out of my Lush jar and cut it in half, as I do with all my bubble bars. (I have a small tub) I was not disappointed. The smell was soft and inviting. The bubbles were fluffy and plenteous. My skin is very soft and gently scented. The patchouli is not nearly as strong as in the Karma and other scents, which is good for me. An all around great Lush smell. Will be adding this to my "regulars" list.

I use the whole thing at once. The scent is very warm, soft, and comforting, especially if you have any sore muscles or self pity. Oily-ish right after the bath, but dries into incredibly soft skin.
