I like this product for giving my boyfriend back massages because his muscles hurt after long days at work. It relaxed him and made him feel better. It did leave my hands and his back greasy so I do it before a shower because it takes a while to absorb and he doesnt want the smell on him, but it can probably be used after a shower or however you want. I really like the smell and the product works well.

Finally, a massage bar that my hubby approves! He suffers from very stiff and sore lower back muscles and this is the only massage product that has actually helped loosen and relax his muscles. It melts very quickly & just a few swipes up and down the back provide enough oil to work into the skin for quite awhile without using the bar. The nubs did wear off after the first few uses of only a few swipes each time, but I feel this bar will last quite awhile since you don't need to use very much while still having lots of product to massage into the skin. I purchased this in the store & didn't reach much of the description, just bought it for the nubs & neutral scent, so I wasn't aware of the warming factor- when hubby massaged my shoulders I was completely awed by the warming factor, it feels lovely! It leaves the skin a little oily at first, but soaks in overnight & the next day the skin is very moisturized, a huge plus. Overall, this is a great product that I will definitely repurchase to save my hubby's back & greatly recommend it!

My boyfriend told the sales woman he likes the smell of black pepper, and she ended up showing him this. It is a very spicy smell, but it smells SO good lingering on the skin. Its very moisturizing, so i'd wait to put clothes on after using this if you're doing it after a shower/in the morning. but otherwise, its a great product. Both my boyfriend & I have used this for massages and it feels wonderful and has a very relaxing effect.

It sounded great- I love warm spices, especially ginger, cinnamon, etc- those sorts of things. So I bought this earlier this year but it's just... eh. It has that somewhat ...IDK there's a sort of yucky backdrop to the scent that most Lush massage bars haf to me, and over that there is a nice, 'hot' scent. But it does very little on my skin and since I don't like the smell that much I don't even use it as an after-bath bar for moisturuzing. It's sitting on my nightstand right now, as it has been for months. I can't bring myself to throw it out. :/

I absolutely love this massage bar. My boyfriend started me on this at Christmas and now I'm hooked. The only thing I will say is a negative is that it doesn't last very long. I literally use it daily and maybe that's wrong but it does wonders. I would suggest that they drop the price a little..I probably go thru one within 6 days. I recommend this product if you have never tried it...you will love it too! I am not complaining at all..I should buy stock in Lush!

I don't enjoy the smell so i won't be buying it again. I recently started working out and i was hopin g for something to help my sore muscles. It didn't really warm or relieve. I did use it on some dry spots though and after one use it worked! I even used it on my dads cracked feet and they looked salon perfect the next day! Over all i did like it besides the smell and will be buying others!

I love the smell of this bar! The bumps on the bar are great for sore muscles. However, the surprise for me was MY SON WANTED TO USE IT TOO! He took one sniff of the bar and put his hands on the bumps, that is all it took. My son has been diagnosed with Autism so smells and textures can be very hard for him to handle, but not this bar. (Along with sensory issues, my son has sensitive skin-breaking out with many things that contain perfume.) After a bath the water can put him into sensory overload, I used the bar on him as lotion. And the fun part for him is being able to put it on himself. To my surprise, this bar really helps calm his little body. And no break outs! I will recommend this to other Autism mommy friends.

Can't say enough how much I like this bar. My skin is usually dry in winter, so I use body lotions or butters all over, and usually apply before I go to bed. The problem with that is I'm usually cold in bed. This product gives me that slight warming effect, not too much, but enough to fall asleep in comfort. And my skin is soft and silky in the AM. It melts very well on warm hands, and smell is super good, at least for myself and my man. So I would rather use this natural stuff based product, than chemical-loaded one. Works great for me.

I have used my bar of Hottie both as a massage bar to help ease my fiance's muscle aches after working out as well as as a moisturizer for myself when my skin feels really dry.

The moisturizing and warming effects make it perfect for dry winter skin and my fiance reports that it really does work to help relax his muscle pains. Plus, we both really love the smell :) Try it!

I've always stepped into a LUSH store but never really made a purchase. Finally, I made it to my local shop and was greeted by a very friendly employee who was nothing but HELPFUL. She recommended this massage bar because of it's moisturizing qualities. I mentioned to her that the winter is not in favor with my skin. WOW. She must've known this was now my HOLY GRAIL FOR DRY SKIN! After ONE use, I noticed a BIG difference in the way my skin absorbed the oils. I had glowing supple skin that you see in the commercials. What's even crazier is that the next day, I didn't need to reapply because i was STILL SOFT. The only thing I could comment on, is that it's on the greasy side so use sparingly AND wait until it fully absorbs before putting any clothes on.

My bf loves this bar and requests it by name. The bar melts very easily and makes skin very slick, so it's better for a long, slow backrub as opposed to a deep tissue or knot-busting session. The scent is lasting without being overpowering, and I can feel bf untense just by me taking the bar out of the bag - the scent is that good.

LUSH, please put this scent into many other products! It's a great dude-friendly or gender neutral scent. Bodywash or deodorant would be a great place to start!

My boyfriend and I are both very active. We love using this product after a long run, or when we're extra stiff. He loves the smell, although I will admit it is a bit strong for me. It melts smoothly onto the skin, and the bar seems to last forever! I would definitely recommend giving this one a try.

My husband and I picked out this massage bar together and it really was love and first sight and smell. This was our first massage bar and we immediately took it home that evening and both enjoyed the warmth that the bar created and also the smooth texture. The little knobbies gradually go away, but the bar works just as well, especially if you rub it on using the edges of the bar. The bar itself melts well on warm skin, so you do not need to use very much at once (just a few swipes accross the skin).
We bought our bar in June. It's late August and we still have quite a bit left even though we use it on each other at least once a week. This is such a great product and the smell is so clean and calming.

I purchased this in store bc I thought it would be great for sore muscles. I usually use Wiccy Magic Muscles and the gal told me Hottie would work better as its the "hottest" massage bar. Well I took it home amd used it and nothing happened. It didnt get hot, actually I don't feel it at all. Did I get a bad batch? Is that even possible?

It does provide an ok base for a massage with its oil though so hence the 2 stars. If you have sore muscles I recommend Wiccy Magic Muscles more, you actually "feel" that one working.

This was the first massage bar I ever tried after receiving as a sample, and I've tried many different ones but I return to this every time. A lot of the other massage bars run out really quickly or make a mess(Heavanilli, Soft Coeur), but this lasts forever. It's also great post-shave because it's not heavy, just a light oil to add shine and softness. It's inexpensive compared to the moisturizing tubs, and it does just as good a job. You won't find a better bar than this one ;3

I specifically went to Denver to go to your store. We had been walking about 5 miles a day doing the tourist thing for the previous three days. I immediately used it on my arms and legs just because it felt and smelled sooooo Delish! Once we drove the 6and a half ours back to ALbuwquerque and unloaded all of our goodies I sat down and rubbed it on the bottom of my feet that had been aching for weeks. I had been considering seeing a doctor about them because every,owning I woke up and touched them to the floor they hurt terribly. This morning I was amazed. I placed my feet on the floor as I stumbled out of bed and realized I was wincing for no reason. The pain is gone! Can't wait till we get a LUSH in Albuquerque!

After I shower, I apply this product to my legs to help with sore muscles. I love this bar so much! I just wish it didn't melt so quickly (I also use it everyday, so that is a big factor.) It smells wonderful, and when I apply it at night I still smell the essence of it in the morning with out it being over powering. It is wonderful after shaving, and can be used before or after a workout. I'm a runner and I like to apply it first thing in the morning because it takes a while to soak in. I would definitely recommend this to any other runner and love the product dearly!
