Oily roots? Fall in love with Juicy
You don’t have to battle oily locks by washing it excessively. You just need effective, deep cleansing ingredients. Start a love affair with the mighty fruit cocktail of I Love Juicy shampoo. Fresh fruit juices of pineapple, mango and kiwi are slightly acidic and help to mop up excess sebum (oil) produced by the scalp. With sea salt for volume and seaweed extract to soften you’re left with squeaky clean hair and scalp, unbelievable shine and touchably soft tresses. Oily hair? It’s a thing of the past.
- Get fruity: Fresh pineapple, papaya, kiwi and mango juices saturate our fruity shampoo and leave hair clean, healthy and shiny.
- Take a dip in the sea: A pinch of salt adds a dash of volume and scoops of seaweed gel add softness.
- No more oil slick: You'll love juicy when you realize your once oily locks are squeaky clean and shiny.

Q:i moved to an area where we get our water from a lake, and the ph is really high and there is quite a bit of sediment and mineral build-up in the water, so the manager at my local lush store recommended this product to me (as well as a bunch of others to address my new skin problems as well). i added a few drops of tea tree oil to the bottle at first and every time i wash my hair i give it a good shake before i apply. it's helped me to combat the water problems a lot, though now i'm also curious, since rehab is quite similar, if i should try that instead? both shampoos are clarifying from the juices and have salt in them, which is why the manager said i should get i love juicy, but rehab wasn't back out at the time so i don't know, especially since we're heading into "dandruff season" and it's starting to show.Asked on 9/25/2013 by sarcazm from Lewisville, TX
Q:Is this product OK to use on normal, hair? I see that most people rec'd it to be used on oily hair. My hair is oily on occasion, but normal most often, will this be too drying?Asked on 8/30/2013 by lushie
A:I Love Juciy is perfectly suited for normal hair. It is not too stripping or drying, so I think it should be safe and even beneficial to use on average hair.Answered on 10/4/2013 by Kendra M from LUSH Direct
A:Yes! This is fine to use on normal hair, and you will love the long lasting fragrance!

A:I have normal to oily hair. My roots and scalp tend to be oily (as in, by
the end of the day my hair looks a little stingy and flat at the roots and
around my face) but my ends tend to be far less oily. I spent a lot of
money and a lot of time trying to find a shampoo that would combat the
oiliness without drying out my ends. I started using I Love Juicy about a
year ago and I have never looked back! My job requires me to wear my hair
pulled back in a ponytail during my 10 hour shift. With other shampoos this
would mean by the time I get home and took my hair down, my roots were an
oily mess. But that's just not the case with I Love Juicy! It keeps my
roots light and clean all day! Every now and then, my ends will start to
feel a little brittle or tangle-y immediately after rinsing (usually it has
to do with the time of year and the weather). When ever it starts to feel
that way, I just throw on some conditioner/detangler (I currently use
Veganese) and rinse before getting out of the shower and it works
perfectly! I would recommend I Love Juicy for normal to slightly oily hair!

A:I would consider my hair "normal"... and I use it! I just use a bit less of
it, and it works great and smells good. I'd go for it. I've never had a
problem with it drying me out.Answered on 8/30/2013 by Anonymous
Q:Should I use a conditioner after washing my hair with I Love Juicy? If so, which one?Asked on 6/29/2013 by jaimelyn from ny
A:We definitely recommend using a conditioner after shampooing to help restore some moisture and soften the hair. Veganese is a really nice one paired with I Love Juicy because it won't weigh down the hair, or cause it to overproduce oil.Answered on 8/21/2013 by Melissa S from LUSH Direct
Q:I've been using I Love Juicy shampoo for about a year now but recently I've noticed more strands of white hair on my scalp. Are the acidic juices in the shampoo causing this to happen. I have really oily hair with dandruff and the shampoo works great to treat my hair. What other Lush shampoos can treat oily hair with dandruff?Asked on 4/8/2013 by Sushi from Fort Worth, TX
A:I Love Juicy contains loads of fruit juices, which are very clarifying for the hair. Over time it can strip synthetic color because clarifying ingredients tend to have a hard time differentiating between dirt and oil, and color. Jumping Juniper is a great alternative that will still help control oil and dandruff without stripping color!Answered on 9/16/2013 by Melissa S from LUSH Direct
Q:Would you recommend using this as a daily shampoo or would you recommend only using this once a week?Asked on 7/13/2012 by Kels from New Orleans, LA
A:I Love Juicy can be used on a daily basis if you'd like, or if you'd rather only use it for clarifying, weekly would also be appropriate.Answered on 8/28/2012 by Megan from LUSH Direct
Q:My hair is frizzy but very oily. Would this work for me?Asked on 5/16/2012 by Princess Becky
A:I am not sure how often you wash your hair or what hair type you have, but in my experience I only need to use this shampoo about once a week or week and a half in order to remove the oils from my hair. I only wash my hair 2-3 times a week and use I Love Juicy when I feel my hair is just really greasy, grimy, and oily. I also live in a hard water area which dries my hair out a lot so I would not recommend using this shampoo everyday if you are living in similar conditions to mine. Also my hair is straight but naturally a little frizzy because my hair is composed of fine, medium, and thick hairs. I unfortunately do not notice any improvement with my frizz issues when I use this shampoo, but this shampoo is amazing at getting all the oil and grime out of hair. If you decide not to use this shampoo everyday try using Godiva or Seanik solid shampoo bars in between your uses of I Love Juicy. Hope that helps!Answered on 5/30/2012 by AshleyOakley from The South
A:The I Love Juicy is designed to aid oily scalps by absorbing the excess oil and cleansing the scalp. It help balance the oil production in your scalp but to avoid frizz maybe use a good conditioner like American Creme or Okra.Answered on 8/30/2012 by Anonymous
Q:I have fine hair, which tends to get oily pretty quickly. I was wondering if this shampoo would be best for my hair and if using this shampoo with veganese conditioner would be a good combo. thanx!Asked on 3/13/2012 by glitterisFUN
A:The combo of I Love Juicy and Veganese conditioner sounds perfect for oily or limp hair, as both will help minimize the oil, give a little lift, and keep things light!Answered on 3/13/2012 by Megan from LUSH
A:Works for me! I use with American Cream and looooove the combo.Answered on 4/17/2012 by New mom from Alexandria, VA
A:That's exactly what I use and it works great for me. I have thicker and seriously oily hair. The veganese conditioner is pretty light but I know the shampoo is a life saver for us oil faired folks. Haha. I would recommend that combo for sure.Answered on 5/9/2012 by Brookie the dorkie from Seattle, Wa
A:I personally this that combination would be amazing for you. They are both light but powerful products! (:Answered on 5/16/2012 by Theeglasschild from Philadelphia, PA

Q:Is this product sulfate free?Asked on 2/29/2012 by Alli from Houston, TX
A:No, this item is not sulfate free. It contains Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate and Sodium Alkyl Sulfate among other ingredients.Answered on 3/2/2012 by Community Answer from None
A:No, our shampoos do contain sulfates.Answered on 3/2/2012 by Megan from LUSH
Q:Does this shampoo strip color treated hair?Asked on 1/31/2012 by lexylou
A:This shampoo does contain a lot of fruit juices which lift dirt, oil, and deposits from the hair. As a result, it may also lift synthetic colour from the hair over time, so we recommend using gentler shampoos for hair that has been synthetically coloured, such as Trichomania, Gentle Lentil or GodivaAnswered on 2/17/2012 by Megan from LUSH
