I love this lip balm because the color looks really good with my skin tone. At first I didnt like the smell, but it smells better when you put it on, and my boyfriend thinks it tastes good =]. The only thing I dont like about it is the texture.

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! Though some people on here think that this lip tint smells bad, I have to disagree. It kinda smells like an Apple Cinnamon Yankee Candle or an apple pie. It smells delicious in my opinion. The only thing I dislike about it is that it's a little difficult to apply and that it doesn't last too long. You have to warm it up a bit when applying or else it won't go on smoothly. It wears off in about an hour or two so keep it close to reapply. The color is gorgeous though and I would definitely recommend to a friend.

I absolutely adore this stuff, the color is super bright and gorgeous. However, the smell is really a love or hate thing. As for myself, I think it smells kind of like red velvet cake, so, as you can imagine, I'm on the love side. I wear this everyday and can't remember my life before that (okay, that was probably a little dramatic, but you get my drift). Needless to say, I highly recommend it!

I prefer this over the emotional brilliance lip products because quite frankly the brilliance items are TOO pigmented. I can control the sheerness of this better which I like and it's a convenient size for the purse.

I saw a lot of reviews disliking the scent but I think it smells good! It's just a little strong. It's weird smelling your lips half the day after application. It smells like a berry muffin or berry cupcake. Very sweet with notes of tartness.

As a softer and more powdery lip tint, you'll notice that you need to use your fingers to really get this spread evenly on your lips, and if they are cracked/ dry it will tend to "stick" to the drier parts.

It usually lasts me about 4-5 hours before I need to reapply. It's so easy and you use so little to apply that it's not a big deal to me.

If I could suggest changes to their formula it would be:

1. Tone down the scent
2. Make it smoother and more moisturizing

The color of this is a very adorable, rosy pink.
Tin's easy to open, the formula was creamier than I expected (everyone kept complaining about how hard it was).
The smell is gross, to me anyway. But everything else was just near perfect! It sucks having to reapply (because it doesn't last too long, and layering over an old application causes it to flake a little bit). I could never tell if my lips were tinted once the balm wears off unless I wash my face with a washcloth or use my Sweet Lips lip scrub - I can see the pink.

I love the smell of this, I'm not crazy about the color on my lips, but it's a perfect cheek color. A little goes a long way and it's not greasy at all.
I get lots of compliments when I am wearing it.

I love the smell of this product - and I love how it's pitched, and I even kinda like the weird bright red that's not exactly yellow/orange-y, but isn't quite red-red, either. However, the texture is TERRIBLE! It's dry, a pain to put on, is grainy, clumpy, dries out the lips, makes them feel very tacky and shows every little line and crease. Doesn't go on smooth, doesn't feel smooth or soft at all. Lovely scent, TERRIBLE texture.

Well.. I just got this in the mail about a week ago and I definitely will NOT be repurchasing this. It's grainy, drying, and the color is super concentrated- so it's more of a tap lightly on the lips to get the color, which is okay-- but it smells AWFUL. I wouldn't dream of kissing anyone with this on. Just not a good product for me at least.

I really want to like this lip tint. It moisturizes like a balm with its shea butter and it feels velvety smooth and non-goopy when worn.

HOWEVER - it only comes in like 4 colors, none of which are suitable for me. I am very fair-skinned and have (natural) red hair, so I tried "It Started With a Kiss" because it was the lightest shade.

The color itself pretty, but not on the lips. When I put it on, it looks more like I just drank too much fruit punch and the cheap food dyes are staining my lips.

the actual quality of the product is great for the price, but PLEEASE make this in some other shades. Some pearly pinks and a variety of nudes would be fantastic.

When I opened this lip balm I was instantly disgusted by the smell. It smells like rotten apples and cinnamon with some other weird smell behind it. I made my husband smell it and he actually gagged. I tried it on just to be fair, and the color is pretty, but I can not get past the smell. I had to wipe it off after two minutes. I am also a little bummed that there are parabens in the lip balms because I love the chocolate whipstick.

For quite some time, I was looking for a perfect lip color that would give me bright, fresh pink lips and I found everything I was looking for in "It Started With A Kiss." The lip tint is matte, so no gloss finish, but I rather like that. It looks like you have naturally rosy lips. Also, the product smells INCREDIBLE! I wear this lip tint everyday (and add an extra layer for brighter, more obvious color when I'm getting dressed up) and I am very happy to finally have a lip color that I love.

I'd heard a lot about this tint so when I saw it in a display near the register, I made sure to grab one.
When I got in the car, I put my finger on it and I saw the nice rosey pink turned into a bright red. I got a little nervous, but I dabbed some on my lips anyway. It made my lips look like I had just eaten a popsicle! I wasn't fond of that look but I wasn't ready to give up on it yet.
I smoothed some lip balm on and then re-applied the tint. It glided right on and gave my lips a nice pop of a pinky coral color with just a little shine.
I have super fair skin but this it isn't too dark or bright. It's a really flattering color that is perfect for every day wear. Compared to other lip sticks, stains and tints that I've tried in the past, this one is definitely my new favorite.

I love this tint!!! I grabbed it at the last second because it was on the counter and the SA said she loved the color. If I only want a little color I use a small amount (and I mean smmaall amount) a little goes a long way with this!! For a lovely deep pink/red tint I use a little more. It smells delish, like cinnamon and apples and my fiance loves it! For the price it is a def buy, I wont need to buy a new pot for a long time even with multiple daily aplications.

This product is nice enough and the color is very pretty, but I don't understand the gritty texture. I actually don't like wearing it because I feel like I got sand on my lips. Is it always like this or did I just get a weird batch?

I was misled by originally thinking 'With a Kiss' was a tinted, normal lip balm. It isn't. The balm isn't your normal shiny shea creation. This is thicker, more lipstick than waxy balm. The color is buildable and is lovely. You get great color payoff with this, I didn't expect it to work so well. You don't get a ton of moisture and shine but it doesn't dry your lips, either. It works by itself OR with a clear gloss overtop (try Bobbi Brown Crystal Gloss). It smells like spiced apples and makes my breath smell like it, too, so I'll be keeping this on hand when I'm out on a date! I'm a huge fan!

I bought this right after it came out. I really liked the idea of a red lip stain--I'm always trying to achieve that "just ate a cherry popsicle" look. Unfortunately, this was not the product to help me do so. For one thing, I found it to be really drying, and I hate the smell. I also wasn't a huge fan of the color. As other reviewers have mentioned, it's bright pink, not red. I didn't like it on my skin, but I kept trying it anyway, until I read that another reviewer had used it as a cheek stain. I had just run out of blush, so I decided to try it. Gorgeous! I absolutely love it! It's delicate but still noticeable, and so easy to blend. I haven't had any problems with putting too much on--it adds a natural-looking flush without straying into "clown" territory. I wasn't a fan of "It Started With a Kiss..." as a lip tint, but it's now my go-to cheek stain!

Initially, I hated this. My friend gave it to me as a birthday present. I tried it and I could not handle the smell or the taste. The gritty texture was a huge turn off. HOWEVER, I recently decided to try it again, just to see if it would get better after a few uses. Once you get past the top layer, which is very gritty, you will find that the texture isn't gritty at all. It is actually quite smooth. Yes, it still doesn't smell fabulous, it is very cinnamon-y and spicy, but the color that it leaves is absolutely beautiful. If you don't use too much of it, you will barely have a taste with it anyway. The color is gorgeous, and makes it absolutely worth it for me. 4 stars for this.
