Wet both hair and the shampoo bar. Glide the shampoo bar down the length of your hair about three times (right, left and back). Work into a lather and rinse thoroughly. Follow with LUSH conditioner if needed. Keep your solid shampoo in a cool, dry place between uses; we recommend using a LUSH shampoo bar tin.

Herbal hair magic to transform oily hair
Our purple shampoo bar jumps into action to sort out oil problems on top. It cleans away grease and balances sebum production for soft, shiny (in the good way) hair. Fruity juniperberry oil sorts out your oily, congested scalp, while lemon and lime make your hair clean and shiny and give it an extra fresh scent. The incredible herbal duo, lavender and rosemary are superpowers if you’re having troubles in the oil department. Rosemary has been used for hundreds of years for its anti-bacterial capabilities, while lavender is known for its ability to balance and soothe the scalp. You'll be jumping for joy in no time!
- Puts the jump into it: Citrus oils of lemon and lime add shine and bounce to your style.
- Herbal wonders: Lavender and rosemary work to soothe scalps and balance oil production to improve the condition of your hair.
- Very berry: Juniperberry oil is astringent and decongests oil build-up on hair.

Q:Is this shampoo safe for permed hair?Asked on 8/20/2013 by Heather from United States
A:We'd recommend checking in with your salon to see how to care for your perm to make it last as long as possible. I might avoid this shampoo, and perhaps look into Blousey instead, as it is one of our gentlest options.Answered on 8/21/2013 by Megan from LUSH Direct
A:The shampoo works really well at removing excess oil from the hair. I just worry that if the perm has dried your hair this product may over-dry it. But if your hair is oily it will work great.

Q:I have very acne prone skin. Has anyone had issues with this causing breakouts?Asked on 5/17/2013 by Leigh from PA
A:Jumping Juniper is a shampoo bar, so it's intended to clean the hair, and therefore it does not contain ingredients known to cause breakouts!Answered on 9/27/2013 by Brandy from LUSH
Q:Will I be able to use this with my color treated hair? Is it strong enough to get my hair dye out?Asked on 5/2/2013 by Melody from United States
A:Although our shampoos are not tested on color treated hair, Jumping Juniper does not contain any ingredients that should strip color!Answered on 9/20/2013 by Melissa S from LUSH Direct
Q:What conditioner do you recommend as compatible with this product?Asked on 10/20/2012 by A
A:The conditioner we'd recommend depends greatly on your individual hair care needs. For a consultation, pop into your nearest shop, or give us a call at 1-888-733-5874 and we'd be happy to help find the perfect fit for your hair.Answered on 11/2/2012 by Megan from LUSH
Q:Is this shampoo bar good for dreadlocks? I use squeaky green and seanik, but I was wondering if this shampoo bar would be effective as well. Thanks!Asked on 8/14/2012 by Jennifer from United States
A:Our products are not tested on dreadlocks at the moment, so we're not able to specifically recommend any products for use on this. However, if you've had success using Squeaky Green and Seanik, Jumping Juniper would also be quite lovely!Answered on 11/1/2012 by Brandy from LUSH
Q:Does Jumping Juniper provide volume as well as taking care of the oily issues?Asked on 5/10/2012 by Alaisa from New York, NY
A:It DEFINITELY works for oily hair and I found that it added a bit of volume as well - maybe because my hair was no longer being weighed down by excess oil.Answered on 6/7/2012 by Marieke from Seattle, WA
A:I think it definitely takes care of excess oil but my volume didn't increase or decrease. Hope this answers your question.Answered on 6/11/2012 by kylie from new jersey
A:Yes, absolutely. With less oils weighing your hair down, you get great volume. I wish I could use this every day to get the kind of volume it gives me, but it's too drying for my bleached hair so I only use it once or twice a week.Answered on 6/14/2012 by lovesilverbullet from Las Vegas, NV
A:It doesn't have the same volumizing ingredients as some of our other shampoos like Big or Seanick, so if you're hoping for a little lift- I'd recommend one of those instead.Answered on 5/15/2012 by Megan from LUSH
Q:Are the solid shampoos safe for color-treated hair?Asked on 2/19/2012 by Anonymous
A:I have blonde hair and get bleached highlights every two months, and I haven't had a problem. My hair is healthy even with all the coloring.Answered on 3/28/2012 by Carly from Mountain Top, PA
A:The form that the shampoo is sold in makes no difference. I have been a licensed cosmetologist for 9 years and the most important thing is the way your hair looks after use. There is nothing in a Lush shampoo that could harm your hair. However, hair is like it's wearer, always looking for the right match. If your hair looks shiny once it is dry, then the cuticle is smooth, and your color is as protected as it's gonna get. Lush sells a Henna dye, and they are nearly impossible to remove if you truly want permanent-permanent hair color.Answered on 4/12/2012 by EdieVioletLutz from San Diego

A:I use Jumping Juniper and I haven't noticed any change in my hair color. Just a lot of shine and softness:)Answered on 5/2/2012 by Misia from Ocean City, MD
A:We do not test our shampoos on color treated hair, which is why we do not state that they are necessarily color safe. Jumping Juniper, however, shouldn't strip color as it doesn't contain loads of clarifying ingredients such as salt, or citrus juices.Answered on 8/31/2012 by Melissa S from LUSH Direct
