Wet both hair and the shampoo bar. Glide the shampoo bar down the length of your hair about three times (right, left and back). Work into a lather and rinse thoroughly. Follow with LUSH conditioner if needed. Keep your solid shampoo in a cool, dry place between uses; we recommend using a LUSH shampoo bar tin.

Patchouli and citrus bar to perfume and detangle
Start your day with good Karma and great hair by washing with our hippy solid shampoo bar. It gently cleans your hair and scents your locks with our signature Karma fragrance. In addition to the groovy mood it leaves you in, essential oils of orange, pine, and patchouli keep your scalp soothed and toned. For those who suffer from knotty hair, the oils in Karma have a beneficial side effect of smoothing hair, allowing you to brush through it without pulling your hair out. Considering that our solid shampoo bars last longer that most relationships, this is very good Karma indeed. Lather up!
- No more knotty business: Karma Komba is also fantastic for detangling wavy, curly locks.
- Lovely lavendin: Used in our entire Karma range, lavendin is soothing, calming, and works to calm the emotions.
- Added benefits: The essential oils in Karma Komba are also beneficial in clearing dandruff.

Q:I have purple hair and am wondering if it is safe to use? I know it may not specifically be for dyed hair, but will it at least not strip my color away? I received this as a gift and would hate for it to go to waste. I know Blousey is ideal for dyed hair, but can I at least finish off this product?Asked on 4/13/2015 by Renae
A:You're correct! It was not tested on colour treated hair. The only ingredients that would strip your hair would be something with high acidity like lemon and limes. Karma Komba has sweet orange oil and lemon grass oil, but since they are not the first few ingredients on the list that means it only contains small amounts of it. So it should be perfectly fine to use on your hair!Answered on 4/13/2015 by Pauline
Q:Does anyone know how well this travels? I'm thinking of buying one to take on vacation in my carry-on instead of having to worry about liquids. Thoughts?Asked on 3/30/2015 by Sarah from New Jersey, USA
A:The shampoo bars are fantastic to travel with! No need to worry about spills!Answered on 4/3/2015 by Melissa S from LUSH Direct
A:Yes! The "pucks", as I call them, travel VERY well. They take up very
little space in your travel bag. Only two caveats I feel worth mentioning
1) you'll want let it dry a bit prior to storing it in a plastic baggie or
soap container. At the very least, blot it dry with a towel 2) when the
puck begins to lose mass, it will break into pieces more easily so be
careful how you pack it at that point. I use them even as small chunks and
they still create a good lather even then. They last for quite a whileAnswered on 3/30/2015 by Anonymous
A:Oh this travels like a darn dream! Takes super heat to melt it and if it
freezes it doesn't matter it thaws out and goes on.Answered on 3/30/2015 by Anonymous
A:Solid shampoos are ideal for air travel.Answered on 3/30/2015 by Anonymous
Q:Does this shampoo bar contain gluten? I have celiac disease and am sensitive to gluten that is in the actual product. I haven't noticed having any sensitivities to possible cross contamination in my shampoos and products that wash off, I just can't handle anything with wheat in the actual ingredients. I really want to try this product as I need a good shampoo bar that won't make my hair feel weird.Asked on 1/20/2015 by MrsOliver2014 from Texas
A:There is absolutely no gluten or wheat in this product :)Answered on 3/21/2015 by Kels from LUSH Direct
A:Nope, no gluten in this product!Answered on 1/28/2015 by Molly<3 from Virginia, USA
Q:Does this product contain natural coconut? I am allergic to coconut and do not want to get a rash from touching it.Asked on 5/22/2013 by XH from Louisiana
A:Karma Komba does not contain coconut, however, all of our products are made in an open kitchen-style facility so there is always a slight chance of cross-contamination. We do our best to ensure the products do not come into contact with other ingredients, however, if the allergy is severe we are always sure to let you know of the possibility.Answered on 9/27/2013 by Melissa S from LUSH Direct
Q:I dye my hair red and since reds fade fast I wanted to know of this would be ok to use and if it would fade my hair? If it will fade the color do you make a shampoo that would be good for color treated hair but not cause the color to wash out?Asked on 4/20/2013 by RedHead
A:We have a new shampoo called Blousey, that is designed specifically for color-treated hair, but other than that we do not generally test our shampoos on color-treated hair. Blousey is nice and gentle, and will not strip color.Answered on 8/21/2013 by Melissa S from LUSH Direct
A:I would recommend Blousey for colored hair.Answered on 5/29/2013 by Glitterella from The Great Northwest
Q:Will this product be good color treated hair?Asked on 3/2/2013 by May Shower from Keller, Tx
A:Karma Komba, wouldn't be the best for Karma Komba. We currently only have one shampoo which was designed specifically for use on colour-treated hair, and that is our brand new Blousey shampoo. It's very gentle and super hydrating so it will not pull out the colour as quickly as our other shampoos might. It contains lots of bananas and nourishing butters which will leave your hair extra soft and smooth.Answered on 3/7/2013 by Anonymous
Q:Is this all natural? Because I am suffering from light dandruff. And will this help treat it?Asked on 8/9/2012 by Dana
A:We use many fresh botanical ingredients, essential oils, as well as safe synthetics to make our products, and we do not claim this product is all-natural. The Karma Komba has balancing lavendin, but for light dandruff, I might recommend trying Soak and Float instead.Answered on 8/28/2012 by Megan from LUSH Direct
Q:Does the Karma Komba solid shampoo contain Sodium Lauryl Sulfate?Asked on 7/19/2012 by Nicolette from United States
A:Yes, the Karma Komba uses Sodium Lauryl Sulfate as its lathering agent. A full list of ingredients is posted above. Hope this helps!Answered on 7/31/2012 by Laura from LUSH
