I've avoided using makeup for most of my life because it always felt heavy and odd on my face, and many companies have so many colors to choose from that it can get confusing. The idea to give makeup a real go popped into my head a little while ago, and I decided to go with LUSH's color essentials since I've come to trust the company so much.

Having a small selection with clear guidlines for choosing made things easy. I got Light Pink because I'm fairly pale in the face with very rosy cheeks (during the summer, folks often ask if I'm sunburned!). I use it to even out my skin tone, hide my large pores, and soften my natural blush, as well as make the prominent veins under my eyes less noticable. So far, I've been very happy with the results. I put Light Pink on as a foundation, then set it with the Translucent powder. I end up looking quite lovely without any real dramatic change, and even though the jar is small it'll probably last for quite a while - it doesn't take much to do its job! What's more, it doesn't have that unpleasant heaviness to it that came with the few other makeups I've tried, and it can come off without too much trouble in the shower (though I use Ultrabland to remove it even more easily).

I am a bit dramatic, but I am seriously such as fan. I have a pretty clear complexion with minimal imperfections. Overall this product gives me an even flawless complexion. It looks so natural!!!!!:D Perfection! :)

Cons
During the hot summers of Chicago I feel that eventually the product melts off, but I don't mind. Any foundation melts during that weather anyway. Another con is that I wish the product had a longer expiration date. I don't wear makeup everyday, only on special occasions. I just want to keep the product for longer, that is how much I love it!!!!

P.S. This product is NOT for those that are looking for a full coverage foundation, because the product is very lightweight and natural looking.

I use this every day. It's easy to put on, and (even better) it stays on all day. Literally ALL DAY. I put it on at 8:00 am and it stays in place and visibly smooths my complexion and hides blemishes until I wash it off at 11:00 pm. It doesn't feel heavy on my face, and it doesn't clog my pores and cause break-outs. I get compliments on how awesome my skin looks all the time since I started using this product. I love it, and I will never go back to more traditional concelear/foundation/colored powder make-up again.

My only complaint- it will rub off, even hours after applying, if you rub your face against anything. So, be careful using tissues or hugging tall people in dark shirts.

This product is great for everyday use. I use this product as a tinted moisturizer, foundation and concealer. With a foundation brush I dip only to the tip of the brush into the small jar and apply it directly to my face. I smooth it with my fingers and use the emotional brilliance powder to set it. This too is a great product, but I'll have to save it for another review. The foundation is light on the skin and requires a minimal amount to even out the skin tone and conceal blemishes. It looks completely natural on the skin and gives you a gorgeous perfect complexion. Overall this product is one that I will continue using for a long while. It's great!

I honestly couldn;'t figure out what shade I was, I really stink at the whole make up thing in general. I went to the store and they let me play with them and the light pink blended very well with my skin and even helped with my undereye darkness. I have very deepset eyes so they always look sunk in and dark. i like that its so light and doesn't make my face feel like im caking stuff on.

I bought this about two weeks ago because the powder foundation I had been using was sinking into my acne scars and looked gross. So I bought this and I love it! I think the oils in it have actually moisturized my skin and my scars are diminished! Almost gone! And the make up, while on my skin, looks wonderful. Stays on all day, even in a hot kitchen. Love, love, love it.

This is a great, light foundation. You do have to mix it in with moisturizer to get an even application, and it tends to streak if you try to apply it on its own. I don't recommend it as a concealer, but it's a fantastic base coat, especially if you have freckles and pale skin. It evens your skin tone but doesn't give you that mask look that some foundations and powders do. Highly recommended for a natural look.

I have been eyeballing this product for a while now. I impulse shop with Lush through the web site because the stores are so far away, and I will say I am always happy with what I get. This product, I went and used as soon as I got home. It matches the color of my skin no problem. I have very sensitive skin and most foundations I use make my face oily or irritated. I have been using this color supplement for a week now and no complaints what-so-ever! It highlights and conceals all in one. It doesn't move or sit in lines or my piercings, best of all it doesn't clog or irritate. My skin is not oily at all with use of this and a touch of powder and your golden if it does get a bit shiny. My favorite about this is that a little goes a long way and its really not covering its just supplementing. I cannot tell you how much I love this.

For a while I had wanted to try this and had a chance recently when visiting a LUSH store. As a side note-lush employees are excellent at colour matching.

What I love is it matches me, doesn't clump up or run in heat or humidity and mixes well with other products. I use it with a non-LUSH moisturizer and I works excellently.

I really like this product - and I'm so glad because I was having trouble looking for something that did what I wanted. Basically I wanted light coverage that made me look a bit more "put together" for work, but that didn't hide my freckles or make me look mask-y. This really did the trick! I was also worried about having to mix it with a moisturizer because I have combo skin, but the Enzymion worked out well. I've been using it for a couple weeks now and have no complaints!

Also, in terms of color, it matches my complexion perfectly. I have a ton of freckles and auburn hair, but I also live in the tropics and spend a good amount of time outdoors so my complexion isn't quite porcelain - it's more on the ruddy side if you know what I mean. So if you aren't sure which color to choose and you have coloring that sounds like mine, I would suggest giving the Light Pink a try! :)

I love love love this product! :) It can be used for light coverage when mixed with any moisturizer or used straight as a concealor or as a foundation.
I love it because first of all, it is hard to get a good HIGH QUALITY foundation for under 20 let alone 40$. This foundation covers just the same as MAC or Makeup Forever, for less money. It also feels like my skin and throughout the day i am not feeling the product on my skin like others! great product!

At first i was super stoked to try this out. Iv been breaking out a lot mostly with the small red painful bumps and thought this would be perfect to cover them without clogging more. It did its job fairly well but i was not happy with the other results. When i used this with or without a moisturizer and usually a light amount of bare minerals powder my skin was OILY. I mean that oily feeling when you touch your face and its kind of sticky. I have combination skin leaning a little on the dryer side so i know it isn't that i just have oily skin. And when 3 of my other friends tried it (each with varying skin types from dry to oily to just normal) they had the same results. Also living in miami its hot and as soon as I'm outside for a little and hot or sweaty i can wipe my face and the make up is on my fingers or shirt. I wish i could say the coverage was worth it but truly its not. I wont forget one time when i used this on a day i was traveling and i rested my head against the seat in front of me on the plane and when i got up the makeup from my forehead was on the seat in front of me. If this product could somehow be less oily i would gladly try it again because the coverage was great its just the other results that suck.

Alone, this makes a great concealor for blemishes and under eye. Mixed with my moisturizer it gives sheer even coverage for the entire face.

When my face is clear of rosacea issues, I can use minimal coverage. My skin is very fair and I dislike heavy foundations. This product is outstanding for me. I mix it with moisturizer for overall usage on my face and apply it unmixed for troubled areas. It is light and leaves a radiant appearance on the skin.

i was skeptical of trying this product at first, but was delightfully surprised at the outcome. i use this in combination with the gorgeous moisturizer and only use it in the apples of my cheeks and on the darkness under my eyes. i find that it's important for my skin to be well-exfoliated and moisturized, otherwise the product tends to exaggerate dryness/flakiness. after hours of wearing the color supplement, i find my skin looking dewy, radiant, and evened out. LOVE IT!!

I got this as a sample in Lush and it is great as a creamy foundation. It works really well mixed with a moisturizer for everyday use. I noticed it is great dabbed on as a concealer! Will definitely be buying this when I get back to store!

Not only does it cover some of my small imperfections it also evens out my skin tone a little, and because i don't need a lot that makes it last a long time for me :) fair price, definitely worth it

When I first tried this in the store I had just gotten a facial so all my makeup was washed off but I didnt want to walk around the mall without make up. They gave it to me with a bit of moisturizer mixed in and it just wasnt covering my blemishes so they gave me a little on a stick by itself and that little bit covered them all. I loved it so much I bought it that day. It goes on nice and light and you dont feel the heaviness you do with some over covers

I was a bit skeptical after reading mixed reviews of the Lush colour supplements, so when I visited my local shop, I decided to ask for a sample. I was a bit surprised (and so pleased!) when the woman said she'd make one right up for me, and decided I would probably be a light pink. Again, I was still a bit unsure with the limited amount of colors to choose from, since I've always had an issue matching foundations to my pale skin. She was spot on! Not only does it blend flawlessly into my skin, but I only need to mix the tiniest bit in with my moisturizer (about 1:1).
It seems a bit pricey for the size of the container, but it really does go a very long way. I was told my sample would be about a week's worth, but I see it lasting at least two. It blends very smoothly and easily into my skin, and you can't even tell I have makeup on; it just looks like I was born with even, soft skin.

I've also been using it as a concealer on its own. Being incredibly pale with deep-set eyes as well as being a bit anemic, I constantly have dark purple circles under my eyes. After layering this as a concealer over the tinted moisturizer, the circles quite literally vanished.

Needless to say, I will definitely be returning once my sample runs out to buy more!
