This is by far my favorite perfume. I use a lot of perfumes, but none of them come close to Lust/ The smell is absolutely devine and I get a lot of compliments in it. If you are a big fan of jasmine, then this is the perfect perfume for you. I originally purchased the solid perfume, but recently I got the actual spritzer and I am so glad that I did. It also lasts a very long time, and it is not overpowering.

My mom grew jasmine plants indoors, and when they bloomed, the scent was intoxicating. This reminds me so much of my childhood. It is near impossible to get a perfume that is pure jasmine; this perfume is so good and the most pure that I have experienced. It is an incredibly sensual scent but very casual at the same time. It isn't overly strong or heavy, but it lasts a fairly long time. I dab on each wrist, behind each ear and two dabs on the top of my scalp (yes, you can!) and I am good to go.

Almost a five star product, but the staining is pretty bad. I forgot about this "con" from the reviews and pulled on a shirt right after I put the perfume on. Stained, and it does not come out. I strongly advise spraying right after you dry off from shower so you give the perfume time to dry before you put on clothes. Lush, if you are listening -- lose the red color and you get the perfect rating on this one!

I got this perfume for the first time, online. Which I was very hesitant at first, but MAN I do not regret this one bit. I cannot even COUNT how many compliments on it I have had. People always give me different comments on how it smells too (sexy honeysuckle is the most popular from my boyfriend) but they are always good. I def plan on making this my signature fragrance. A friend from college who has a class in the same room as mine but at a different time, said that she smelled my perfume while she was sitting in class and it had been about 2 hours since I was in that room. BUY THIS! You will not regret it.

I loved this, my boyfriend broke up with me and I needed a confidence boost and this was what made it happen. The first time I wore it I was at my school's football game and I received several compliments, most from guys ;) but now that I've worn it for a few days, it really is a odiferous fragrance that embodies my confidence! Amazing product!

Initially Lust can put you off, especially if you spray too much (like I did the first time I used it). I am not a huge fan of the top notes (FULL tilt Jasmine) but I love it after it has sat on my skin for about 10-15 minutes. It still retains the jasmine, but other softer notes mellow it out into a snuggly sweet Jasmine. I have found that holding the bottle almost a foot away and letting the mist hit my skin, then dabbing into that is the best application. I think the solid is great if you want to skip to the snuggly Jasmine experience. Lately I have been layering it with a little bit of Vanillary or Vanilla Deelight lotion to soften that initial blow. I get a lot of compliments. If it works with your chemistry, it is magic! So far my favorite fragrance from Lush.

My favourite indulgence is a certain very expensive jasmine tea. The fragrance is so calming and beautiful. Well, this perfume smells EXACTLY like this tea. I couldn't believe it when I smelled it! I tend to get a bit sneezy and headachy around floral scents (lavender is my kryptonite, and lilac just kills me), but this is incredible! It's nice to take a break from the same old citrus or vanilla, and actually get to wear a floral scent that I adore! It's sophisticated, not old lady or little girl as floras scents sometimes can be. I can't stop smelling myself!

I am sort of a hippie chick who normally wears essential oils. My signature scent is patchouli. Last New Years, I was introduced to this perfume by a friend, and was obsessed. I got tons of compliments and it wasn't too girly for me, but was still feminine and sexy. A little goes a long way and some people may find it overpowering. I don't wear it on hot summer days as it's just TOO strong for that, but I love it for night or for a fall/winter scent. This is the first genuine "perfume" I've ever purchased. It's the first fragrance I've found that doesn't smell fake, too girly, or too light to cover up body odor and the like. Jasmine might seem intimidating, but every time i wear it, it takes me back to india, where I travelled a couple years ago, and makes me feel feminine and sexy but still strong and not girly.

So. This scent is basically amazing and works perfectly with my body chemistry. When I tried it on in the store, I was a little unsure whether I would like it as it went on very strong - but the friend I was shopping with and the sales associate were absolutely wide eyed at how it smelled on me. To the point, actually, that when I balked at the price, my friend *bought the [$] perfume for me*. I've gotten compliments from tons of people, even on the subway - but what I think is funny is that virtually everyone thinks I'm wearing their favorite flower, even if said flower isn't in the fragrance! (I've gotten gardenia, lily of the valley, lilac, and honeysuckle before.) It's kind of magic.One gentleman friend said he knows someone else who wears it, and that I used to smell like her to him, but now she smells like me. Body chemistry win. ;-)I have, for the record, even sent it sprayed on a letter in the mail, and the scent made it. Glowing, one million star review.

[Note: I originally wrote this review for another site] Since other reviewers have explained Lust's composition, I'd like to offer a review on the scent's effect on people's...dispositions.

Received two workplace responses (stated below to 99% accuracy) to this scent which reflect almost all male/females reactions to me when I'm wearing it.

Female 1: What are you wearing?

Me: LUSH's Lust.

Female 1: You smell like candy. Like a sweet tart.

Me: Central notes do include ylang-ylang and jasmine.

Female 1: Yeah, ok, I smell cheap candy.
Female 2: It's kinda...too sweet or something.

Me: Noted.

Female 1 (out of earshot of Female 2): What's the name of it again?

Male 1: What...do you smell that?
Male 2: It's like flowers and honey...some sort of...
Male 1: They're blue. I smell this flower outside of my bedroom window.
Male 2: Violets, lilacs, I smell jasmine...
Male 1: Yes, lilacs. Are you stalking me?

Me: How so?

Male 1: I swear, I smell this every night before I go to sleep.
Male 2: You're not very good at this, are you?

Myself and Male 1: I'm [you're] not supposed to leave a trail.

You can likely imagine the simultaneous emotions emitted by the people who smell me. Women = 75% miffed curiosity, 15% repulsion, 10% tell-me-the-name-of-that-scent-or-I-will-hunt-you-down.

Men? 75% muffled carnality, 15% feigned repulsion, 10% I-will-hunt-you-down.

It should be noted that these responses transcend socio/economic barriers. The men at work? The VP and a Director. Should have known better. Lust is a strange mistress, no?

This scent is not meant for people who cannot carry it off. Regardless of whether or not someone likes it, almost everyone who has encountered it says it's to some degree, loud. Almost ostentatiously so. I'd almost say Lust is a bit polarizing in that you either adore it, or it's just too much.

Suffice to say, this is one of my signature fragrances. LUSH nailed the combination of frenetic flirtation and simmering sexuality.

There's another fragrance they made, however, which is the yin to this yang. If Lust is a Porsche ride to a pulsating rave? Cocktail is a chauffeured Bentley to a sultry jazz club. One evokes reactions of those seduced, one is conducive to the seduction itself. Hard to explain, but understood when experienced.

LUSH's perfumiers are immensely underrated.

I am not a perfume person, but when I walked into Lush and sampled this perfume I couldn't resist. I used it every day. However I began to notice that the sent didn't remain as floral as when I first bought it. The main Jasmine notes that I loved seemed to disappear beneath the sandalwood and other musky tones. I don't know if it's because I used it to often or the perfume just got old (I've had it for awhile). Hopefully if I buy a fresh one it won't have the stronger heady scent of my old one.
Either way, it's a nice perfume, the scent is very light and feathery. The feathery part just seems to fade with age tho and that's when the musky scent is more noticeable.
It's still light enough tho to spirtz in the air and shake it into my hair so when ever I move my head throughout the day I get a fresh wiff; not overpowering at all, that's one of the things I love about it.

It's amazing. Buy it without even thinking about it. I will seriously be buying this scent forever. I love jasmine/ ylang ylang/ rose. My boyfriend loves it too. It's strong, but that shouldn't be a problem unless you go overboard. It will stay on you all day. I sprayed some of it on a letter for my boyfriend the other day and later that day I could still smell a bit of it where I had sprayed it. It's not like other perfumes that fade away throughout the day. I have never had one that lasts like this. Only downside is that though the push up tube kind smells just as good, it can be hard to get it pushed up without pushing up too much and squishing it with the cap. Also, the red can linger on your skin, so make sure it is rubbed in. Regardless, it still deserves 5 stars. Best. Stuff. Ever.

Someone just sent me some of this..and this is by far THE BEST JASMINE scent EVER! It's for serious jasmine lovers. I just sent a sample to a friend, she loves it too and will be buying a full bottle. This is hot, with a little spice JASMINE! LOVE IT! THE BEST! If you are looking for a serious jasmine that's seriously good, look no further!:D.

Ok, I must say this about the color PEOPLE! Don't whine about this staining your clothes, ok??? You aren't supposed to put perfume on your clothes or near your clothes, it goes on your skin, what is the problem here people??? Just put this on when you have no shirt on or roll up your sleeves, how hard is that????? Quit whining because that's how the Original Guess got discontinued..was people whining about the color...I LOVED that scent..quit whining! Just wear it with black if you really want to pour this on your clothing, ok?? I think Organza by Givenchy is still being made, nobody really complained about that scent as far as I know.

WHO CARES ABOUT THE COLOR???? THIS SMELLS AMAZING, THAT'S ALL I CARE ABOUT! That's all anyone should care about!!!!!! 5 stars!!!!! Great job LUSH!!!!:D.

I absolutely love the scent of Lust, and my husband loves it even more. (Oooo lala! That's all I'll say!!) However, I am stuck with only using the soap. The red stain of this perfume is RIDICULOUS. Please Lush, I am begging you, get rid of the pigment.

This does not smell like anything. I must have sprayed half the bottle on myself and it still doesn't smell like anything on me. So I spray it on my pillows since I did pay for it. The pillows tend to hold the smell atleast an hr. Complete waste of money. Get the solid perfume - it holds MUCH better BUT the red does get everywhere on your clothes.

i'm a huge fan of all things jasmine! on my first shopping trip to my local lush, my lush advisor showed me the flying fox (which i bought too and it smells awesome), and when i asked her about other jasmine infused products, she showed me this perfume. i must say i have never smelled such a "pure" jasmine perfume before. the folks at lush get my vote for the best jasmine perfume!!

This perfume is one of my all time favorite perfumes. The scent is true to a combination of jasmine sambac and jasmine grandiflorium. I love the strength of the perfume; it's just right - strong enough to be a lasting france yet light enough not to be overpowering. I walked into a store, and some people saying why the room smelled so good, and I just smiled. It's just lovely, heavenly, and beautiful! Thank you!

I won't say I don't like Lust, I'll just say it's not for me. It's very sharp, woodsy, and musky. The smell might incite carnel lust in some but it was just vastly over powering for me. I dapped a touch on my wrist before a date and it was actually so strong, it affected the way my food taste. I guess it must've been "sexy" because he couldn't keep his hands off me and kept pulling me close but I don't know if it's worth it for me. Not exactly my style.
