Mask of Magnaminty
Makes dirt a distant memory
Mask of Magnaminty isn’t technically a daily ‘facial wash’; it’s actually a deep cleansing face and back mask. China clay and fresh peppermint reach deep down to pull the debris from your pores, giving you that delightful tingly-clean sensation. We add loads of aduki beans to exfoliate flaky or dry skin, vanilla absolute to calm redness and honey to soothe. Our inventors created Mask of Magnaminty to be the ‘ultimate face mask’, intense but not harsh or abrasive on the skin. We recommend using Mask of Magnaminty weekly to keep the skin in good condition.
- No need to refrigerate: Mask of Magnaminty contains an effective blend of deep cleansing oils instead of perishable ingredients.
- Suitable to most skin types: Except for those sensitive to peppermint.
- Deep cleansing minty mask: We blend bentonite gel into our recipe to clean the pores deeply and tighten at the same time.

Q:After leave the mask 5-10 minutes on the face, how is the best way to rinse it? Can I peel it off (just like scrubbing it) or just apply a little bit of warm water & massage it over the face?Asked on 10/23/2013 by Veeta from Singapore
A:With our Mask of Magnaminty, I recommend that you plaster this deep green mask all over your clean face, neck and back. Leave it on for up to 15 minutes then wash it off with warm water, massaging as you go (avoiding the eye area). For best results, follow with a LUSH Moisturizer that best suits your skin type. Mask of Magnaminty will remain fresh for up to four months. I hope this helps!Answered on 11/15/2013 by Lydia
A:I would say the best bet is to apply a little bit of warm water and massage it off. The mask can get messy and will flake so it is easier to massage off rather then try to peel. I usually use a small warm damp towel and wipe it off. I hope this helped. ^-^Answered on 11/9/2013 by Moy from Philly, PA
Q:After using the mask, should I use toner on my face to minimise the pores?Asked on 10/21/2013 by Ooi from Malaysia
A:We recommend using Mask of Magnaminty weekly to keep the skin in good condition and you could use a toner afterwards for a full effect. I would recommend using the Tea Tree Water as it contains antibacterial tea tree, juniperberry and grapefruit waters to keep skin clear of blemishes and balance skin tone. I hope this helps!Answered on 11/15/2013 by Anonymous
Q:Can I use this product after I use coalfaceAsked on 7/14/2013 by Natural beauty from Georgia, conyers
A:You can certainly use Mask of Magnaminty after cleansing if you like, but it's not neccessary to use a cleanser right before applying it, so you can skip that step if you prefer!Answered on 8/13/2013 by Brandy from LUSH
A:I used this product after using Herbalism, which is an exfoliating cleanser. I honestly felt like it was overkill using both, as they both have a scrubby texture to them. If you have sensitive skin, I wouldn't recommend using both in one night. Just my two cents. ;)Answered on 8/2/2013 by Peaceful Erin from Portland, OR.
Q:Is this face mask alike to the Love Lettuce mask?Asked on 6/25/2013 by me from calexico
A:There are quite a few similarities among these two masks, but the main difference is that Love Lettuce is completely preservative-free and must be used fresh (this is why it's only available in stores!), while Mask of Magnaminty has a shelf life of 4 months and does not require refrigeration. Love Lettuce is very calming and balancing, while Mask of Magnaminty is zingy and refreshing!Answered on 10/3/2013 by Brandy from LUSH
A:They look similar, but there are some key differences. Both are deep cleansing, but mask of magnanimity is more so and has less moisturizing. Also, Mask of Magnaminty is tingly while Love lettuce is soothing. Love Lettuce is only available in stores and expires sooner because it doesn't have parabens. Both are great, it just depends on your skin type.Answered on 9/26/2013 by Glitterella from The Great Northwest
Q:Can you still use this product even after it's expiration date (three-four months) if you refrigerate it?Asked on 3/27/2013 by Becca from Melbourne,FL
A:Our product inventors have selected only enough preservative materials to ensure the product will not have unsafe microbial growth up until the date listed on the product, and after that- bacteria, yeasts, or fungi may be present in levels that wouldn't be safe to use on the skin or hair, so I would advise against it.Answered on 4/5/2013 by Anonymous
Q:I know I should leave the product on for about 15 minutes, but should I let it fully dry on my face?Asked on 3/18/2013 by Nomi-omi
A:We do not recommend letting the masks dry completely on the face because then when you're washing it off, you'll need to tug at the skin. Instead, we recommend applying a nice thick layer, and leaving it on for only about 5-10 minutes for best results.Answered on 3/19/2013 by Megan from LUSH Direct
Q:Does this work well to get rid of blackheads?Asked on 1/9/2013 by Anonymous
A:It will definitely help to control blackheads, as the clay base works to pull dirt and debris from the skin. Make sure to leave it on for about 5-10 minutes for the mask to do its trick!Answered on 2/28/2013 by Melissa S from LUSH Direct
Q:Could this product be used as a spot treatment.Asked on 12/31/2012 by Anonymous
A:Since Mask of Magnaminty is meant to be rinsed off after around 10 minutes, we don't recommend using it as a spot treatment. Mask of Magnaminty really shines when it's used as a deep-cleaning mask, so it's best to take a few extra minutes to really treat yourself with this one!Answered on 3/7/2013 by Brandy from LUSH
Q:How long should i leave the mask on?Asked on 11/4/2012 by Allison from United States
A:We recommend leaving this mask on for about 15 minutes then wash it off with warm water, massaging as you go, and avoiding the eye area.Answered on 11/5/2012 by Melissa S from LUSH Direct
Q:Is this product safe to use during pregnancy?Asked on 5/26/2012 by Anonymous
A:While we don't expect there should be any problems, everyone is different and your doctor is your best resource for what to avoid during pregnancy. If you're concerned, please bring the ingredients list above to your doctor to discuss if it would be appropriate for you individual needs during this special time.Answered on 5/31/2012 by Megan from LUSH
Q:How often should i use the Mask of Magnaminty per week?Asked on 5/8/2012 by Ana Banana from Bellingham, WA
A:It's really all up to your personal preference. Starting out, I've used mine twice a day with my daily face cleansing routine just to get my skin back to a healthy balance. After this week, I'll use it most likely three times weekly (if I can control myself). I'm so in love with how this product makes my skin feel, it's hard for me to use it less!Answered on 5/18/2012 by Cierralasandra from Stillwater, OK
A:We suggest that Mask of Magnaminty is used once per week, as it is a deep cleansing mask that will work to draw out the impurities from the skin. If you find that your skin needs a little extra boost you could try it out twice per week depending on how your skin feels.Answered on 8/30/2012 by Melissa S from LUSH Direct
Q:How often should I use this mask?Asked on 4/12/2012 by Bella
A:I usually like to use the facial masks once or twice a week, as you don't want to overdo it since it's quite intense and minty! If you make sure to allow a day or two between applications and you should be on the right track.Answered on 4/17/2012 by Megan from LUSH
A:I would recommend using it around 2-3 times a week. The aduki beans exfoliate your skin while removing the product, and you want to avoid over exfoliating.Answered on 4/17/2012 by Adrian from Maine
A:I use this once a week, and occasionally 2.I always use it on wednesdays, and sometimes on sundays. Hope this helped!Answered on 4/26/2012 by Music forever from Ephrata
A:I'd recommend once or twice a week.Answered on 5/11/2012 by Andrea from DC
A:At least once a week! Although it is not a harsh mask so you could definitely use it more often, I have been using it every 3 days.Answered on 5/14/2012 by nikkibee from Chicago, IL
Q:Should you keep this mask in the fridge?Asked on 1/25/2012 by Katie from dubai
A:You don't have to but I keep mine in the fridge so it is extra chilling!! xXAnswered on 6/23/2012 by Brooke from Gilbert, Arizona
A:You don't need to keep this mask in the fridge and in fact, if you do, it may make it very difficult to spread on your face when you use it. I'd recommend keeping it in a location that doesn't have many temperature extremes - not in the kitchen or bathroom.Answered on 1/27/2012 by Community Answer from None
A:You don't have to--I don't keep mine in the fridge. The coolness of the mint is good enough with it being at room temperature- but if you like the mint you may enjoy the extra "ice cold" feel!Answered on 2/12/2012 by shoejunkie from Honolulu, HI
A:No you should just store it in a dry place. No need to refrigerate.Answered on 2/26/2012 by jestinrocks from Dallas, Texas
A:Nope. I think it's just fine in the bathroom cabinet.Answered on 3/10/2012 by KarimahRo from New York, NY
A:No, you do not need to refrigerate this.Answered on 3/12/2012 by Ambi bambi from Phoenix, Arizona
A:No, this is their only face mask that is not refrigerated.
It takes a few months before it expires, unlike their fresh face masks, and keeps really well (doesn't dry up in the jar at all or lose its consistency)Answered on 4/3/2012 by Naturally from Orange
A:This item does not have to be kept in the fridge and is fresh for up to 3 months (according to the girl at the store)Answered on 4/6/2012 by RadRachelLeigh from Madeira Beach, FL
A:No, it's not necessary to refrigerate it!Answered on 4/15/2012 by Moonbeam Sparkle from Atlanta, GA
A:the Product Features list says there is no need to refrigerate because it doesn't contain perishable ingredients. I think some of their other masks might need refrigeration but not this one.
Hope this helps,
