This is a nice soap, quite ordinary in appearance and scent. I don't get the "comforting milk vibe" at all. Yes, it smells very nice... light, clean gender friendly... but I find "figs and leaves" or "Sultana" to be "warmer" creamier scents... which also happen to be more moisturizing. While I'm crazy about most LUSH soaps, this is more on the drier side, and I feel like I need to add a handcream after washing. Can't say anything horribly negative about it, but nothing that special either.

Bought this off Retro, the worst thing about it is that they no longer carry it! Love using this soap in a hot shower before bed. The smell is like wrapping yourself in a cozy blanket by a fire drinking warm tea. It doesn't really lather, but I like to use a loofah. It can be a little drying, so pair with your favorite lotion!

Really yummy smell. Doesn't lather but, I still feel clean, I use a bigger piece in the shower and the smell is warm, comforting and soft, I also use the smaller pieces by the sink, it doesn't give a lot of moisture, you will need lotion afterword, but I have used many soaps and it feels better and smells better than any other soaps. Worth it for the yummy "blanket and snuggle time buy a fire" scent, almost like a really comfy pair of wool socks, the scent is like a 10/10.

I keep this product in a plastic soap dish, and will pull out the square of soap and apply it on my skin. It doesn't lather up like sudsy soap does, but it cleans just the same. You get a smooth texture and a great smell. Oh how I love the smell, and the sooth feeling my body feels in the shower/bath, and afterwards. The scent will keep with you. I love this soap! I will purchase it again, & again. Also, i would definitely recommend it to a friend or loved one.

I. Love. This. Soap. I got it yesterday, and I am obsessed with it. It is super soft on my skin, and I've been using it to wash my hands (that way I get to use it more often). It lathers well, and it smells amazing. Seriously amazing. The scent is very fresh and clean which is perfect because my hands always feel fresh and clean after using this bar. The scent also stays on my skin for a long time. The only complaint is that while it does feel super soft and moisturizing while my hands are wet and covered with the soap, it does tend to be a bit drying once I rinse and dry my hands. It is winter and cold though, and my skin tends to be a bit dry during this time of year, so that could be the problem. Overall, I love this soap, and I highly recommend trying it!

This is by far my favorite soap from Lush... and I've tried almost all of them. This is the only soap that I have ever repurchased (I'm not saying there aren't others that I love- just that this one stands above the rest). It is so gentle on your skin and has such a soft and clean scent. I hope this item comes back in stock very soon!

I purchased the Milky Bar on a whim. I wasn't excited until I finally tried it! It blew me out of the water (almost literally!) The Milky Bar Soap was so soft and smooth on my skin I couldn't seem to get out of the shower. I also was really impressed by the scent. It is very light, but the creamy sweetness of it is perfect for a relaxing evening shower or bath.

I was unfortunately quite disappointed with this soap. When applied to a loofah, it doesn't lather well at all, so I would recommend cutting of a small piece for each use and applying the bar directly to the skin. This soap dried out my skin and I was honestly hoping that it would smell and feel milky, but it didn't. Overall, it's not terrible. It's still usable and it lasts a long time, but I probably wouldn't repurchase it.
I might still recommend it to a friend because this soap might work beautifully with someone else's skin type and overall tastes, it just wasn't for me.

This is a great soap! It cleans effectively, has a soft, dense lather, and lasts a long time. I only need to lather my loofah once to cover my entire body and it's quite moisturizing. The smell, although NOT what I expected - I thought it would have a milky/creamy/sweet scent - is mellow and clean. I found the smell a bit strong when the soap was dry, but when it's being used, it's not overpowering at all.

All in all, a good soap with a great lather, as long as you're using a sponge or a loofah.

I ordered this because I had received a sample of this with another order & liked it. Unfortunately, the smell of this is SO strong, it is overwhelming. I'm easily prone to migraines & whatever is in this, triggers them. I wish the sample would've been as strong smelling- then I wouldn't have wasted my money.

This soap is so mellow and fresh. very delicate. doesn't lather much, but is quite effective. I really love this soap. The scent lingers on your skin for a long time after your wash. I actually use this and I got my sweetheart waylander, and they smell up the bathroom absolutely amazing in tandem. He is running low and wants to share my bar with me because he thinks it's just intoxicating and he wouldn't mind smelling like that himself. He is going to have to fight me for it. This is one of my favorite scents. If you like to keep it low key and don't want to smell too specifically like one thing (citrus, musky, floral) you will like this. Very 'balanced.'

I purchased two bars while in Switzerland because I heard how wonderful it was and knew it wasn't available in the States (until Retro, of course). I was very disappointed because it dried out my skin and made it feel tight. Plus, the scent just wasn't there at all. Sorry, Lush.

This smells nothing like chocolate-- that said, it smells amazing. Just, not like chocolate. I like how it smells strong when it's dry, but when it goes onto your skin, it's a subtle but noticable sweet scent. yay for milky! I will continue using this nice soap for ever--Haylie

This smells just like the hot milk bubble bar-- FANTASTIC!!! I love how it lathers! It could be more moisturizing, but it's not drying. Wash with it in a bath with a hot milk, and follow with dream cream. Also, use your favorite lush moisturizer on your face! Have fun!

This is the BEST soap I have ever used in my life...even better than "honey i washed the kids" which is also pretty good. The scent is HEAVENLY CLEAN and so natural. The best way I can describe it is by how some spring blossoms smell. The bar does not get mushy and melt away easily. It's semi-transparent (thus the name milky bar) but I can assure you if you are not into heavy duty perfumery, you will love this soap. Please LUSH dont ever stop making this soap. It's so good it should be patented. I LURVE IT!..
