I am middle-aged and have been experiencing excessive hair loss after showering and excessive daily shedding for more than two years, now. For more than a decade, I have only used high-end salon products recommended by my stylist - even expensive anti-thinning ones (will not name, but you can guess). But after only a week of using New!, my hair loss has been cut by 50-60% and my breakage is next to nothing. My hair has never looked or felt healthier, and I am no longer dreading shower day. I used this shampoo for the first time this morning. the lather is unreal! i am so in love with this product. it gets my hair squeaky clean, i use a lot of hairspray (i mean A LOT) i also don't wash my hair every day, and this takes it all out without making my hair feel like its dry and stripped of anything good. i can't wait to wash my hair again! the only downside to this is that the scent is very light, i thought it would be more invigorating and strong. I have used Curly Wurly and Retread which leave my hair smelling amazing and i thought this would do the same...but all in all i'm very satisfied with this shampoo

i just bought this shampoo the other day, i have used it twice, and me and my boyfriend have already noticed a huge difference in my hair, i originally bought it because i want to grow my hair out.
after using this shampoo the second time my hair isnt so fuzzy and it doest feel like straw, i colour my hair and am a regular blow dry and straighten hair every single day, so my hair goes through a lot i noticed that my hair isnt falling out and i dont have to wash it every day like i use to have to, its really amazing and i have and will continue to strongly recommend this shampoo to my freinds.

I was not entirely sold on the solid shampoo idea until I bought this. These are amazing! I have pretty normal hair that I wash 2-3 times a week, but this shampoo keeps my hair feeling thicker and looking shinier than it normally would. Definitely worth a purchase just for the amazing smell alone!!

I love this shampoo! I have tried "BIG" before and loved that also but this is stuff is great! I have thinning hair because I was very low on iron after having a couple kids!I felt like this really helped clean my scalp for new growth! I just went through my first bar and getting 2 more tomorrow!!!!!!!

After Chemo treatments made my hair fall out my oil glands were working over time. This shampoo was great and when the hair started coming back it kept the oily skin under control. Now I have thick healthy hair that is softer then before.

I had never used a solid shampoo before, but was very curious. I have bought expensive shampoos for my very thin hair that didn't really work, but New! is amazing. My husband wouldn't stop looking at my hair one day, and I asked him what his deal was. He was so amazed at the thickness of it. That was after about 1 months use.
The bar has a strong smell in store, but not as strong when washing with it. It leaves my hair clean and soft, and it doesn't get as oily as it used to. If you have oily hair you will probably only need conditioner every other day, but people with dry hair will need to use conditioner with this.

I received an unexpected benefit from this shampoo. I went to the doctor for an earache. During the exam, the doc mentioned I had eczema on my face. I had mild red rash on my face and an extremely dry forehead. I tried to rinse my face with cool water, tried creams and even a tube of $150 ointment prescribed by the doctor. Nothing worked. I looked like a plump strawberry. Then I tried this shampoo and bingo, no more dryness or red cheeks. I had even tried other shaving creams, nothing worked. But this shampoo rinses cleaner than any other I've tried. Along with good volume and cleanness, my skin is no longer red. The rash is completely gone. I can't begin to tell you what a difference this product has made in my life. I've tried other solid shampoos here, but none with the total affects of this one.

This shampoo bar is amazing. I was very skeptical at first, but I will NEVER use anything else again! I dye my hair fairly often, and I have never found a shampoo that protects my color like this does. My hair has not faded, it's much softer, and it's growing faster. I noticed a huge difference after about 2 weeks. I love this product.

I have short blonde hair. I bought this because I had a god awful hair cut and wanted to get rid of it fast, because my hair grows back super slow. My hair grew almost 3 inches over the summer. I kid you not. I love the smell and cleansing power, but I found it really dried out my hair and scalp. Next time I might use some LUSH conditioner as well. I also found that my hair is a kind of rusty colour now, which is okay by me but may bother some other users. All in all, I'd use it again!

This shampoo offers a great lather, and like many Lush products, a little goes a long way. I was a little uncertain about the smell when I decided to try/buy it in the shop, but since it's been home, it smells a lot less like tar and a lot more like cinnamon. That cinnamon (and clove? Cinnamon dominates) scent, which doesn't seem to include any vanilla or sweetness, has grown on me. Oh, and my hair looks good.

I can't say enough about this shampoo bar. This is the first one I've ever used, and I was a little reluctant to get one as I had no idea what I was getting myself into.
But I absolutely love pretty much everything about this, the smell is incredible, it lathers up like a dream and makes my hair super clean. It even improved the health of my hair! After two uses, I only had 2-5 strands of hair falling out as opposed to the usual 10-20 I had falling out before I started using this. I don't even need conditioner with this, it makes my hair so soft and manageable! Only thing I'd change about it is that it could be a bit bigger for the price you pay for it. Otherwise, I'm hooked!

This was the first ever Lush product I used. I had originally planned upon buying Seanik but the lady at the store used a sample of NEW! to explain the solid shampoos to me. One whiff and I was hooked! I love the smell of cinnamon but the real reason the smell is so wonderful to me is that it reminds me of the living history museums my mom used to take me to all the time as a kid, very smoky and spicy.
That said I still was really nervous about this because all my friends say they hate the smell! But I LOVE what it does for my hair. My hair is ridiculously curly and I always have a problem with clumps falling out when I brush it and when I'm in the shower. Now I hardly see any hairs in my brush at all!
I was also shocked by the massive amount of lather I got from this! I honestly didn't expect it to lather up more than my old shampoo but it's better than any I've ever used!
This has to be a must for me from now on! I LOVE it!

I purchased "new" as a LUSH newbie three months ago. I wanted to try a solid shampoo and chose new because I'd lost a lot of hair after the birth of my son. I got pregnant again when he was nine months old, so I was petrified of losing even more hair before it even had a chance to grow back.

I was pleasantly surprised at the smell and how well it lathered. Using a conditioner after this shampoo is a must. Even a mild conditioner will do. If I don't condition, my hair tangles really badly after using new. It does also burn tremendously if you happen to get it in your eyes.

One benefit I did NoT expect... I no longer have to wash my hair daily. I'd heard of women washing their hair every other day, but my hair was always so oily if I tried to skip a washing. Not anymore! Day two after using new is NOT just a pony tail day either. I can wear my hair down and it looks just as clean and healthy as it did on day one. For a soon to be mommy of three who works full time, this has been HUGE for my beauty routine.

I'm still using my first bar even after three months of use. I want to try other solid shampoos from lush but I'm afraid to stop using new! I honestly can't say if it's encouraged new hair growth, but it has stopped some of the excessive fall out. I guess the true test will be in a couple of months after I have the new baby. Regardless, the time savings alone has me a return customer!

NEW shampoo WORKS, people! I've tried almost every shampoo to cure my oily, gross and sensitive scalp, dandruff, and fried ends. So far, this is the only shampoo that has actually had immediate results.

I've never used LUSH products before. At first, like many users, I was really sceptical on how effective a 1) solid and 2) all natural product would be. After the first try (which took some getting used to with the solid form and lathering issues), my hair felt fresh and squeaky clean. So far, so good. Then I began my countdown. Over the next 2 days, I would either: a) break out into itchy dandruff or b) be matted down with horrid oily hair that smells (eww).

Result: 3 days later, and my hair looks and feels like I just washed it. It smells decent too. It's a MIRACLE! This is coming from me, a person who yells at her hair in the mirror (I kid you not).

The cinnamon and clove smells really strong in its solid form, but when I lathered it into my hair, it ended up really faint. Personally, I don't mind the scent and wished it stayed on my hair after rinsing off.

As for the hair growth claims, I didn't have much of an immediate effect with that, sadly (my hair still falls out in clumps, thanks to strong medication I need to take). But I'm crossing my fingers that it will subside with time and continuous use.

I do agree with the other reviewers that you need to air dry it thoroughly. First, I wet my hair; then, I dry my hand before picking up the shampoo and running it down the length of my hair 6 times (it took a while to get it lathered up). After that, I immediately put it back in its container and I leave it out for an hour (damp side up) to dry.

I really hope mine lasts for more than 3 months, as it's rather pricey for a 2-month use. But for the amazing results on my previously hopeless hair, I'd rather cut down on chocolate.

I just bought this product today and used it for the very first time. I got it went and rubbed it through out my hair. It lathered up extreamly fast. A little bit of that goes a long way! I love the smell also. When I got out of the shower, my hair felt so clean! It might mistake some people for the hair being dry but that is not the case. It is showing you how clean ur hair is. I dont have oily hair but when i straighen my hair it gets a little oily. I used this and then straighened my hair... no oil. At all. It was so crisp and clean and lasted all day. I still feel it. I feel tingles all day. Maybe that is telling me my hair is growing. I dont know but what i do know is this product is my favorite!

I have spent a ton of money on Salon products that were supposed to help my thinning hair, untill now. I was stalking the shampoo reviews looking for something that would hit home. This was it! Due to a thyroid disorder I had been losing hair at a alarming rate. To the point that people were noticing. I read some rave reviews about NEW! and I though well for the price its worth the try. I went to my local Lush to check it out.

It was love at first use! 3 swipes of the bar was enough for my mid length hair. It was the best lather I had had in quite some time, due to the chemical shappoo I had been using. The smell is strong! Which I don't mind because, I LOVE Cinnamon! Washes out easy and leaves my hair feeling squeaky clean! I dont know if it's all in my head but, I think it is working! My hair is stronger and even getting thicker. My hair dresser even said it looked better than it had in 3 years!

One of the always fabulous employees, gave me some ***NEED TO KNOW*** tips. When you are done using the bar and about to get out of the shower, dap the bar with a towel. This will help remove the water and save you from the "jelly" issues some people have expressed. Also make sure it has access to air. If you are putting it back in your tin, keep the lid ajar. That way it can dry off, until your next use. I myself just, dab it down and stick it on my shower caddy. It allows it to get air from every angle.

When I went into the LUSH store, I was planning on getting Seanik among many other things. I was excited when the LUSH girl told me this would make my hair thicker and longer, so I got it. But then I used it in the shower! I lathered it up and put it into my hair - almost immediately it felt dry and brittle. A lot thicker though! I rinsed it out and piled in American Cream, but it still felt that way. I quickly handed it over to my dad, who seems to like it! I wish I could like it! It'd be great for people with thicker hair!

I bought this in Norway when i was on a trip. Used it and really liked it. I travel alot so I have been using it alot. I think i will get rid of bottled shampoo at home and just use this!
