Wet both hair and the shampoo bar. Glide the shampoo bar down the length of your hair about three times (right, left and back). Work into a lather and rinse thoroughly. Follow with LUSH conditioner if needed. Keep your solid shampoo in a cool, dry place between uses; we recommend using a LUSH shampoo bar tin.

Stimulating and reviving minty shampoo bar
There’s nothing exactly new about our stimulating cinnamon and clove shampoo bar, we call it that because it's made for people who want NEW! hair! When stress or life goes to your head and your hair starts thinning, motivate those tired scalps with spice and mint oils. It’s intense, (in the best possible way), but works wonders on irritated scalps or hair that’s thinning. Rosemary and nettle herbs rejuvenate, and make your hair shiny and soft as a feather. All of this, in one beautifully spicey bar; are you ready for a NEW! shampoo?
- Bar on top: Customer and staff favorite, NEW is perfectly suited to all hair types, not just those who are feeling follicly challenged.
- A force to be reckoned with: Herbs and spice, and everything minty and nice for shiny, healthy hair and scalps.
- Spice up your life: We use stimulating cinnamon leaf and clove oils.

Q:What is the expiration date of this bar?Asked on 11/8/2013 by anonymous
A:Hi fellow LUSHie!
The expiry date for our shampoo bars are 14 months after they are made.
I hope this is helpful! Happy shampooing!Answered on 11/14/2013 by Anonymous
Q:What's the best way to store the bar so it lasts the longest/is easily accessible in the shower?Asked on 9/25/2013 by Brynn from Portland, OR
A:I keep my bar stored on a soap ledge in the back of the shower out of the water. If you don't have a ledge in a dry spot, you could always buy a wire soap dish with suction cups. I have seen them at Target before.

Q:Does this product help with hereditary hair loss?Asked on 6/1/2013 by Alise Michelle
A:New! is meant to help with hair loss of any kind as it works to stimulate the scalp and follicles, which promote new hair growth.Answered on 10/2/2013 by Kendra M from LUSH Direct
A:Being the child of a mother and father who have pretty thin hair, I know how you feel. For me, NEW! worked EXTREMELY well! I've only been using it for a week and I'm pretty sure it's going to be a bit longer before I see evidence of hair growth but I know for sure that it's made my hair LOOK thicker and even feel thicker. It gives great volume, makes your hair shiny, and even smells great! Although I would recommend accompanying NEW! with a hydrating conditioner as it does tend to dry my hair out although my hair is usually extremely oily so it balances my hair out perfectly!Answered on 7/30/2013 by LUSH Luver from Florida
Q:I thought that Sodium Lauryl Sulfate is not a very healthy ingredient to be using on your skin? I've read that it is just an irritant and only used as a deep cleaning/foaming agent. I see that its in more products than just this one. I really want to use these shampoo bars, as i'm sure they are amazing, but the SLS worries me. Could someone tell me why it's used and if I just have the wrong information on this ingredient?Asked on 5/14/2013 by Just Wondering
A:Sodium lauryl sulfate is a surfactant, which can create quite a rich foam in certain concentrations, and has a long history of safe use. Its combination of water-soluble and oil-soluble properties allow the product containing it to bond with any oils present. This purpose is especially useful in our hair treatments, hair conditioners, and other products that are meant to be washed out, as it helps the product to rinse out without leaving product residue. In short, we use it to create lather, as well as to clean the hair!Answered on 9/26/2013 by Brandy from LUSH
Q:Can I use this on died hair? Will it wash out my color?Asked on 11/19/2012 by lesliebby from Los Angeles, Ca
A:We test all of our hair products on virgin hair that has not been color treated. Therefore, we cannot say how NEW! will work on hair that has been dyed, unfortunately.Answered on 11/22/2012 by Anonymous
Q:Does This Bar Help Your Hair Grow Longer?Asked on 7/20/2012 by chacha from boston Ma
A:The New! bar is great because it really helps to foster a healthy scalp, with lots of stimulating ingredients to promote circulation. A healthy scalp helps with both the growth and retention of hair, but it will still take time for the hair to grow. Lots of people have lots of success with the New bar, so give it a try!Answered on 8/1/2012 by Laura from LUSH
Q:is it sulfate freeAsked on 6/24/2012 by Eileen from Farmingdale,NY
A:The NEW! bar uses Sodium Lauryl Sulfate as its lathering agent. You can find a full list of ingredients for this product posted above!Answered on 7/13/2012 by Laura from LUSH
Q:how many times can I wash my hair with one bar?Asked on 6/11/2012 by Yvette from Peru, IN
A:Each bar generates approximately 60-80 washes. Be sure to keep the bar as dry as possible between uses to get the most mileage from it!Answered on 6/19/2012 by Megan from LUSH
A:They say that you can get 60-80 uses from one bar, but I have used a single bar for almost 5 months now and I wash my hair every other day, if not every day. It lasts for a long time.Answered on 6/21/2012 by Inari from Wilmington, DE
Q:is the cinnamon and clove shampoo bar good for colored/tinted hair.Asked on 6/10/2012 by Anonymous
A:New isn't designed with coloured hair in mind, and it can be quite stimulating. I might recommend choosing a moisturizing shampoo such as Gentle Lentil for this purpose instead.Answered on 6/19/2012 by Megan from LUSH
Q:which conditioner would you recommend with the new shampoo?Asked on 1/27/2012 by Anonymous
A:Honestly, you can use any conditioner that is best for your hair type. This shampoo cleanses and stimulates your hair but will not condition it for you. When using the shampoo though, make sure you lather well to get all the grime off your hair and then condition as normal.Answered on 6/8/2012 by Akari from Clifton, Virginia
A:My personal choice of a conditioner to use with the new shampoo would be Retread!Answered on 1/30/2012 by Community Answer from None
A:That would depend on what your individual hair needs are- if your hair is very dry, you might want a thick, deep conditioning product like Retread. If the hair is oily or limp, you might want to try Veganese, as it's lightweight and great for shine. If the hair is normal, American Cream may be a good choice- but really it does depend on the hair needs, as we don't make our shampoos and conditioners for just one need or hair type- they can be used in many different combinations for varying hair needs.Answered on 1/30/2012 by Megan from LUSH
A:Most of the year, my daughter and I use "Jungle" with "New" shampoo. In the winter though, we add "Veganese" for the added moisture.Answered on 2/14/2012 by Kat in Germany from Germany
A:it really depends on your hair type...my hair is greasy at the roots and dry at the ends..so i usually use American Cream with this, but if your hair is different i wouldn't recommend this combo.Answered on 4/16/2012 by cassixnicole from chicagooohhhh
A:I use American Cream. I can't stop feeling my hair!!!Answered on 5/13/2012 by Indiana Jaron from Indianapolis, Indiana
