No Drought

I have very curly, thick hair that has a tendency to get oily, especially during the summer months, and this stuff was a life-saver on the days when I didn't wash my hair! Unlike other dry shampoos that I've used, this one never left my hair and scalp greasy.

I'll be honest, I don't really like to wash my hair very frequently. I have hair that can easily get damaged at the roots and be oily at the scalp. Frequent washing seems to make this problem a lot worse. Because of this, I will usually go 5-7 days between shampoos. The first four or five days go pretty well, but after that my hair starts to get kind of grody.

Prior to finding "No Drought" I would freshen up with some baby powder. It was okay, but had mega-build up and made my hair look kind of gray. I definitely don't have that problem any more!

No drought will give me two or three more days before I need to wash my hair. It also makes my hair look really lovely (it doesn't diminish the shine like other dry shampoos) and my hair smells lovely!

I really can't say enough positive things about this product! I'm so glad I gave it a try!

This is the best dry shampoo I have ever used. It doesn't leave your hair looking grey from the powder and it smells so good. I use it on the days that I don't wash my hair and you couldn't tell the difference.

The product was really easy to use, and I love the smell. It could be used on either oily hair thats on its second day or even on clean hair that needs a little bit of oomph. One thing that I don't like about it is the weird rough feeling it can leave if you use too much and dry out your hair. Other than that, it's great!

I LOVE this product. I am so completely NOT a morning person, and if I'm running a bit behind, it works great to spiff up my hair quickly. Also, I have curly hair, and washing it every day can sometimes take its toll; however, I am also blessed with an oily scalp, so this stuff does great to reduce washing without leaving my hair looking gross.

It also works great if you're on the road and need a little "spruce up." Since it's not a liquid, it is also acceptable to be included in your carry on baggage when you get on an airplane if you don't want to check any bags (the solid shampoos are great for this, too). Also, if you like camping, it is a great way to feel less grimy when you don't have access to a shower. :)

I wouldn't get all dressed nice first before using this, or you may end up with white powder all over you - it can make a bit of a mess. I would also say that if you have dark hair, as I do, that you may have to do a little extra brushing/rubbing to get this stuff to blend in. It would be great if LUSH could come up with a dark hair version!!

Long story short, though, this product is well worth it and does what it says it does. Really the main reason for a "4" instead of a "5" is the fact that it is light, and can be a little harder to blend for those of us with the dark hair. Everything else is great!!

I get oily roots overnight and wanted this to help me get an extra day or two out of a blowout. Unfortunately this just didn't work for me. I saw no change in the greasiness of my roots and I wasn't that impressed with the scent. I have found other Lush products that work really well, however.

I have four brunette sisters and we were talking about dry shampoos, I have tried almost everything else from lush so was wondering how this would work. I didn't want that strange gray color that some dry shampoos, and this did not do that at all!

I part my hair in the center (instead of my usual side part) sprinkle only a small amount onto my roots, and then I let it sit for only a few minutes. To rub it in I take just my fingertips and almost work it in like regular shampoo. I don't have to worry about the days work before being visible in my hair! Now I can have fresh washed looking hair all of the time!

Also, this bottle goes a long way so even if you do use it daily it will last you a very long time!

I bought this product not loving my current dry shampoo. and i was expecting a lot out of it and it delivered!! im in love with it! the smell is fresh and maybe a little fruity . mmmm! and most importantly... MY HAIR IS COMPLETELY GREASE FREE!!! i also have brown hair and doesn't leave any white! my new and forever dry shampoo

Being a new mom this has been a time saver! For those days when i just don't have the time to wash my hair..(shouldnt wash very often anyway!) it really helps make my hair look freshly washed and smell great! Getting it on your hair is a little bit messy. Rub into roots and brush out, then style as usual. I've noticed it adds a little shine to my hair after i brush it through as well! Even my husband uses this when he doesnt want to wash his hair!

I have been waiting for forever for Lush to invent something like this. Using other dry shampoos left a weird film on my hairbrush and left me with an icky feeling all day. Enter No Drought - a slice of perfection. Just throw into my hair and in a few minutes, the oils in my hair absorb the powder. For having really thick hair, it does not take a lot of the powder to make my hair look different. I've used it plenty and have barely made a dent in the bottle. I truly love this product.

I'm giving it a two because I have no basis for comparison to other dry shampoos. Really though, it was disappointing. Doesn't improve the look of my hair and it made it feel really weird even after 10 minutes of trying to brush the residue out. And I have really short hair for it to take that long. It made it feel worse than if I had just left it dirty. I tried it one and two days without a shower to see if it made a difference and it doesn't. I tried using a little the first time and quite a bit more the second time and got the same results. On top of that, on my brown hair, it made me look grey even with the smallest amount and takes a lot of brushing to get rid of the grey look it gave me. I don't even have any grey hairs. Probably better for blondes. If you really have no water or are camping or something, it's better than nothing, but it's nothing like using real shampoo. I'll stick to ponytails and bandanas on off days.

I really liked the citrus smell of this product and how well it absorbed the oils in my hair without making my hair feel dry or unmanageable.

Only down side is that I tend to get it all over the place so its something to use before you get dressed for the day...especially in black!

This is hands-down the best dry shampoo I've EVER used. I would recommend it to anyone I know without hesitation. A lot of dry shampoos only last for a short amount of time and don't seem to even soak up all the excess oil. Not this one. I use it between washes usually, but if my hair gets particularly greasy I'll touch up during the day. Which brings me to the only thing I dislike...the packaging. I really wish it came in a smaller size that I could keep in my purse, but I just bought travel size bottles from the drug store and put some in there. The bottle NEEDS to have a sifter. I'm not sure if that's the correct name for it, but it should come in a bottle like baby powder does. It's really hard to apply it without getting it everywhere. And my lid has actually clogged up, so I can't close it all the way. I'm obsessed with this product!! But, Lush, please redo the packaging.

I sent this product as a gift to my sister, and she loved it, so I needed to try it for myself. My husband and I both are now using it ( had to get 2 bottles!).
I love to use it on my busiest mornings and my kick back weekends.

I tried this product at the store, and I was very surprised at how well it worked. It is a little messy, but for a person whose second day hair is necessary, it is a blessing.

The terrible dry shampoos of the 70s are gone forever, and good riddance! Pour a teaspoon of this in your hand, squaff it through your hair and fluff in. Instant volume and clean looking locks. An absolute must-have for mornings that start to get away from you.

I was really excited when I discovered this product because I wash my hair everyday because it's oily, but this allowed me to wear my hair down on second hair days without an oily look. The product is easy and fast to use, and works all day long. I love this product, but if you order in the mail watch out when you open the seal under the cap, my bottle exploded all over me and got in my eyes. Besides packaging, wonderful product.

In my opinion I wouldn't recommend this product for those who have hair that gets oily quickly. In my case my hair gets oily quickly so most often I stray away from day two hair and try to wash my hair daily. This product worked well for a few hours but afterwards my hair didn't look to great. The positives of this product is the smell is great! & I'd say it'll work well for those who have a less oily scalp!

This product is unbelieveable. Not only is the scent heavenly, but it can perform little miracles; allowing me to wash my hair every other day. Let me explain my situation. I have color processed hair, and I like it to last long. Thus, I cannot wash my hair every day. However, I also have extremely greasy hair. I have to wash my hair in the morning, because if I was it at night, i wake up with a vat of grease on my head. This product not only saves my time (going from a 15 minute shower to about 2 minutes of application) but it also saves my hair! I have not been able to go two days without washing my hair, and this product can let me go up to three! It also is packed so tightly that it lasts forever. A great purchase.

I bought this after seeing it reviewed online. I typically wash my hair daily - but it dries out my scalp and wrecks havoc on my color/highlights. So to appease my hairdresser and cut down on dandruff i've been wearing my hair down post wash, then using this and pulling it up the next day.

I've tried several other dry shampoos and had iffy results. I love the smell of this one! It's a sort of grapefruit/lemony scent (but not over powering.) Smells very clean and the citrusy scent doesn't seem to stick around all day (which I like!) A little goes a long way! So, I definitely think i'll be getting my monies worth out of this! It clears up oil almost instantly - other dry shampoos i've tried made my hair look overly oily or really dry.

The only thing I don't love is that this comes in a squeeze bottle.It could be packaged differently in something like the foot powder or coconut deodorant comes in? I started sprinkling some on my brush and running it through my hair with good results, but I could see how you can get too much or too little if you aren't paying attention.

All in all another new Lush fave! = )
