Ocean Salt, while a pleasant concoction for the face and body, isn't necessarily "miraculous" in my opinion. I was just thrown off for a second after reading some of the reviews. The first time I used Ocean Salt, I was sort of expecting clear skin, zero blotches, and no blackheads. I didn't get that (obviously) so just go into this with realistic expectations.

I really like Ocean Salt though. Typically I'll just scoop a small handful of it in the shower (make sure no water gets into the container, though) and then massage it into my face and let it sink into my pores for a moment while I wash up my other bits. After using Ocean Salt, I always feel refreshed and I actually have glowing skin. That's right, it's not just faulty lighting or a trick of the eye, my skin is actually bright/glowing/reflecting light, whatever you call it. Whatever you call it, it looks good and keeps my skin matte for the next morning. I take night showers, so Ocean Salt really scrubs away any grime that might have collected throughout the day (especially in polluted Shanghai) and leaves me with a clean canvas to start with for the next day. If you are someone who takes morning showers, I believe Ocean Salt would feel so good to help you wake up.

Ocean Salt smells delicious, but try to restrain yourself from gulping down the contents of the container. It's SALT. And as a response to anyone who might say it is overpriced, I would like to respectfully disagree. Buy shopping from LUSH, you are both supporting a cruelty-free organization but also getting quality, organic ingredients. There are still sulfates in it, but some things can't be helped. Ocean Salt lasts pretty long too, I'd estimate 6 months for the larger size while using it twice to three times a week.

Overall, Ocean Salt is a cool exfoliating cleanser which I believe is very reasonably priced and worth the amount of luxury it adds to your routine. Look great, but most importantly, feel great.

I have dry skin, it tends to be more noticeable on my forehead. Using this product before my primer has helped provide a smooth surface and reduce the visibility of pores. Be careful not to use it in the shower or if your face is to wet, as it will dissolve quickly before you feel it scrubbed properly. A slightly damp face and a good 1 min rub will do it.

I absolutely LOVE all the bits of sea salt used to exfoliate my skin. I use Ocean Salt once a week as my body scrub to remove all my dead skin and residue from the week. I work in a setting that deals with lots of papers, so I can't use it too often or when I have papercuts or else it burns!

I was recommended to buy this product as a first time shopper to the LUSH in Beachwood Mall. This smoothie does exfoliate well, however, the avocado does not overcome the alcohol present from the vodka infused lime when I applied it to my skin. Parts of my face actually started to burn slightly as a result, so I will only use this for my body. If anyone does try this, I would recommend having a facial moisturizer handy. Still though, I'm overly impressed with how soft my skin feels and hope to continue to use this product!

I bought Ocean Salt a couple of years ago and fell in love, but I kinda forgot all about it in the next two years. I have acne prone skin, and while it's not exactly greasy it is pretty rough from time to time. I bought ocean salt again recently remembering how much I loved it after trying to recoup from a harsh skin treatment, and I can't believe I even forgot about it! It leaves my skin feeling absolutely wonderful, smooth and soft to touch. I love the smell too, lime is divine. My acne barely even comes around anymore, and when it does Ocean Salt dries it out and it's noticeably smaller the next day. I even got my boyfriend (who has very acne prone skin) to love it! His skin has cleared up tremendously by using it every once in a while to get all the dirt and grime off.

I, personally, love Ocean Salt. It makes my skin so soft and I love the smell! But, if your skin is REALLY sensitive, the sea salt could possibly irritate your skin to where it feels like it's burning. Maybe because the vodka and lime in the product. That happened to my sister. Overall, I absolutely love Ocean Salt!

Living most of my life in Alaska, I never had to worry too much about my skin. The clean, cold air kept it from producing too much oils and when zits would occasionally appear, a quick pop and they were gone. I didn't even have to bathe that often—1–2 times per week at most. I've since moved to Manila, where I sweat so much my pores sometimes throw in the towel and just plain give up. And a few of these nasty pimples my polluted pores produce are quite stubborn, leaving behind red marks for weeks no matter what product I try. I had a few of these blemishes—one between my eye brows, and a couple on my chin—when I walked into my local Lush store for the first time. I walked out with Ocean Salt, Tea Tree Water and Cosmetic Lad. When I got home, I used the Ocean Salt and the Tea Tree and was immediately astonished. My face probably hasn't felt this good since I was a baby! And my acne, it seemed to be disappearing before my very eyes! The red marks had already faded into my normal skin color, and the next morning when I looked in the mirror, there were no pimples anywhere. Seriously. I don't know when the last time was that I'd been entirely pimple-free. Now I can't stop talking about Lush. Thank you guys!

The only downside to this product is the price. I get through a lot of it but it does the job. Balances out my skin and leaves me face feeling clean.

My husband and I love this product! It is very balancing as a bi-weekly scrub/mask. I use it only bi-weekly because I have combination and angry skin. It really makes my skin on my face feel super clean and really toned when finished using it. I pair it with dark angels simply because dark angels is a daily for me and the powerful Ocean Salt really amps it up and keep my skin freshly exfoliated!

This was one of the first products I bought from Lush, and I honestly don't think I could live without it now. I was basically sold on this during the hand demo (with lemony flutter and another product that I currently cannot remember) SOLD
I use this product on my face and body but not every day. It instantly helps any roughness and leaves my skin feeling soft and refreshed. I personally love the smell of this product, I wish the scent could be an air freshener or candle just so my bathroom could smell like this all the time, BUT i can understand how it may be overpowering for some people. The girls at my local Lush store advised me to mix with a popsicle stick before using.
The one negative thing I have to say about this product, and maybe it's just me, is how quickly I go through it. I feel like I extra product, and have gone through the LARGER container almost too quickly. As much as I love this product it is a little expensive for me so I feel as though maybe I need to live with using it less. But that is truly my only complaint.

My whole life I've struggled with break outs and sensitive skin. Until I tried this product, I never was able to find anything that worked to clear my skin and keep it from drying out. After one use of Ocean Salt, I was hooked. Seriously, the next morning my skin was dramatically different! For awesome results, apply a thin layer of Ultrabland onto your face and then on top of that apply Ocean Salt. Rinse with warm water and your skin will have never felt smoother. Every time I use it, I'm in such disbelief about how great my skin feels. So happy that I've finally found something that works.

I love Ocean Salt! I have never had such a clean feeling face in my life! It is a little rough, but for me, that's a good thing because it is removing all dirt and dead skin, leaving your face clean and fresh. After one use my face looks so much better. I usually don't spend more than $10 on a face product, but I will definitely repurchase this. It just gives such a deep clean and helped get rid of blackheads and pimples. You can feel it working which is what I like the most. Such a great product and I would recommend it to anyone.

I usually use the cleanser before mask because it doesn't dry out my skin. The cleanser does a good job making my face soft and fresh. But honestly I don't like how my skin look after using it, it doesn't feel thoroughly cleansed nor significantly brightened like when I use other brands. CONSIDER your need before purchasing

I use this both in the bath & in the shower daily! This product is exfoliating - but not to the point where it irritates my skin. I use this product on both my arms and legs before I shave to protect from things such as ingrown hairs. I've noticed that this product softens my skin overtime, as well as instantly! I was skeptical when I first heard about the vodka in this product because I have eczema on both my left and right shoulders, I thought it would dry and rough up my skin, but it does the exact opposite! This product has been a miracle in a jar for me. It helps with the greasy areas around my nose, and hydrates the dry areas around my shoulders. It's truly amazing!

This does such an amazing job of getting rid of dead skin on my legs and helping me get a closer shave. After I scrub my legs I put on shaving cream, shave, and rub Turkish Delight and let sit for five minutes before washing it off. My skin is so soft and I cannot help but touch my legs all day!

This is definitely a little bit rough at first, but once you get used to the texture it is great! It really scrubs everything off my face including any dead skin. It leaves my face feeling so soft! I use this once a week because my skin is very sensitive and it works like a charm!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this scrub! It's like taking a dip into the sea and emerging with fairy tale skin! I've been looking for a good facial exfoliator for a while now and most would either not get rid of dead skin, or leave me dry. This scrub takes away all dead skin, leaving perfectly smooth and hydrated skin after rinsing. This is also the first scrub I've used that leaves my skin more hydrated and moisturized than before I use it! Gentle enough to not make my super fair skin red, yet powerful enough to transform my skin into near perfection.

The only downside would be if you accidentally get some on your lips/in your mouth, it's like swallowing a salt tab. Minor though, and now I learn to keep my mouth shut a little bit more ;)

This is a great multi use product. I use it to cleanse my face about twice a week and alternate Angels on Bare Skin and Aqua Marina in between and my face looks great. I also use this to exfoliate my legs before shaving and to soften up my feet along with the rest of my LUSH must have pedicure products.

A little will go a long way so there is no need to over indulge. If your skin is sensitive (like mine), maybe use it 1-2 times a week on the face and don't scrub too hard, you really don't need to anyway. Just soft smooth circular motions and rinse well. This leaves my skin clean and glowing every time.
