Q:Is this a good soap to use to get rid of clogged pores on my back and chest? Or is there another soap that is better for getting rid of acne?
Thanks!Asked on 4/21/2015 by LouLou
A:I suggest using Parsley Porridge instead of Porridge soap, because it has great herbal properties that are known to de-clog pores.Answered on 4/25/2015 by Pauline
A:I had rather awful back and chest acne for years, and this is exactly what I used to heal it up. So yes, it is perfect for getting rid of acne. It cleanses your skin, exfoliates the gunk out, and moisturizes your skin to prevent irritation that leads to further break out. Of all the things I used to get rid of my acne, including dermatologist prescriptions, this was what worked the best.

Q:I'm an all natural nut so, when looking for products to use on my skin, I come to LUSH. I am looking for a soap that will not only exfoliate, moisturize, and cleanse my skin, but also help clear up acne on my back. I have moderate acne on my back and occasional blemishes on my chest, so nothing too bad. However, it is still annoying and I am longing for clear skin all over. Will this meet all of my expectations?

A:While the majority of the ingredients in Porridge are natural, there are a couple of safe synthetics used in combination in this bar, so feel free to check the ingredient listing ahead of time. The oats are great for gentle exfoliation, and because it is very cleansing it should help with occasional breakouts!Answered on 4/6/2015 by Melissa S from LUSH Direct
Q:is this soap made for both body AND face? I tried on my face and I have eczema, yet I tried, well, it is quite all right. Since I only used sample size, a couple of washes, I am thinking if I should get a full size or not(worry about long term use result). I would like to know if it is really ok to use on my skin.Asked on 1/27/2014 by momos from SC
A:The skin on the face can be quite different from the skin on the body and all of our body soaps are formulated with the body in mind. Although I wouldn't necessarily recommend to use our porridge soap on the face, I also don't think it would do any harm either. The Porridge is a very gentle soap so it should not have any adverse effects on the face in the long term.Answered on 1/29/2014 by Anonymous
Q:Is there another soap that is similar to this one?Asked on 10/24/2012 by Ashley from Chicago, IL
A:Porridge is my favorite soap! Around Christmas, they have a soap called snowcake, which is very creamy and yummy! Honey I washed the Kids doesn't smell quite like Porridge but for honey lovers, this is a must. One more is rockstar soap, a candy-scented pink one. Test these all out if you haven't yet!Answered on 11/26/2012 by Tea from RI
A:There is no soap that is like the porridge in the sense of oats in the soap, but there are soaps with similar aspects.
Creaminess: Sultana, alkamaar
Exfoliation: Mud Flats, Sandstone

A:Porridge is definitely one-of-a-kind, but if you are looking for something light and creamy I would suggest Sultana of Soap, as it has a similar light lather, as well as dried fruit to exfoliate!Answered on 2/28/2013 by Melissa S from LUSH Direct
