I use the product solely to clean my face. I tend to lean heavy on the oily side & problematic that time of the month. This soap has been my saving grace. I travel a lot and each area I go tends to mess with my face due to climate etc. This soap helps keep me as balanced as possible with my jetset lifestyle. I wish I could buy full rounds of this!!! Bigger chunk sizes por favor, LUSH? ;) I highly suggest this for those of you who like coalface or the idea of Fresh Farm but want something else.

I'll admit that when I first bought this soap, I was overwhelmed by the rose scent of it. It sat in my cabinet for a while, until my lucious Sultana of soap bar ran out. Let me tell you, I'm so glad that I started using it! It makes the whole shower smell so good, and then when you step out, you have a delightful, but not too strong, floral scent that carries on for quite a while. I love it!

I think I reviewed this before but I have to come back to gush about Queen of Hearts. The first time I ever used this, I thought 'Wow, this makes my skin feel GOOD!' My mom was visiting and right when I stepped out of the bathroom, she said 'Wow! Your skin is glowing!' I've been using this for sveral months now and I get compliments on my skin all the time. I'm 41 and have had women 10-15 years younger than me sigh and say they want skin like mine. Today, I washed up in the restroom at work and the very tired housekeeper was coming in to mop as I was going out. She seemed grumpy, but then brightened up immediately and said 'Wow! Your skin looks so good. What the heck are you using?' I cut off a piece of Queen of Hearts to give to her and I believe made her day a lot better. LOL!

Now before someone thinks, 'Oh you must have naturally good skin' I will say, not so! I did not get such compliments until I started using LUSH products, and Queen of Hearts in particular.

I really hope LUSH never stops making it.

It takes a while for the soap to lather. And I'll go ahead and say when it's fresh, it doesn't lather much at all. But once you've been using the piece for a day or two it lathers really well and is very creamy. I think that's why it feels so good on your skin. I use this every day and night, but add Angels on Bare Skin to my routine every other night (for exfoliation)

But I seem to get the most 'Wow's right after using Queen of Hearts.

I love using this as a facial soap, although it could work as a body wash in a pinch. I use it every morning and every other night (back & forth with Angels on Bare Skin as a night cleanser) It makes my face feel so soft all day long and gives me a glowing complexion. I'm always getting complements on my skin.
You have to rub at it for a while to get a good lather going, but the bar lasts a really long time. I keep a piece by the sink and one by the shower.
I know it's Retro but I beg LUSH never to discontinue it. I may have to throw a Queen of Hearts sized tantrum if this lovely soap falls down the Rabbit Hole. (See what I did there ;-)

I got this as a sample, so at least I didn't spend money on it. That's the nicest thing I can say, though, about Queen of Hearts. I would be more likely to overlook the old lady smell if it hadn't dried out my skin.
I guess the redeeming quality is that although my skin feels dry, it didn't break out as it does most of the time I try new cleansers.

I use QoH as my regular facial cleanser, usually after make-up remover but sometimes on its own. While the rose scent is faint, it is very authentic and enjoyable. My skin is mature combo and prone to dry, tight places with most soaps- not with the Queen. After I wash my face with Queen I have time enough to get my moisturizer on without rushing. I love this soap so much that I stocked up on it and have spare bars in my freezer!

The soap was very creamy and rosy! I was excited to get it as a sample since I am not usually a fan of flowery scents and probably would not have tried it otherwise. Bottom line, still probably won't order it since I like the fruity, sugary or spicy scents better than floral. But it was nice.

I received two sample sizes of this soap from a few online orders and... WOW!!!

I had been using a national brand facial cleanser for several weeks and my skin always ended up feeling tight as my skin started to dry, leading to copius amounts of moisturizer being used. That right there gets expensive after a while! So, in a fit of desperation, I took out the smaller sample and gave it a go. Pure Heaven!

Granted, getting a lather up took a bit of work, but the benifit of not having to gob on a load of cream after washing my face well out-weighed the effort involved. My skin dried and, for the first time in a long time, it didn't feel tight!

I am glad I got a sample of this in my order so that I didn't actually buy it. The scent of roses is really strong while using it. I thought that maybe I could deal with that if it left a nice, soft scent on my skin afterward. However, no amount of sniffing could conger up a scent from my skin after I stepped out of the shower. I wanted to like this, but I'd surely never buy a bar.

I still have a fairly large piece of this I got as a sample. It makes me feel clean, I do have sensitive skin, but it dries me out really bad. It's the only reason I haven't used the rest of my sample up yet. I really should though, and just moisturize afterward. This is the beauty of samples, you can try it out without having to waste hard earned money on something that might not work for you.

I felt this soap was very bland. I love rose scents, but this was just weak and reminded me of soaps from hotels. In my opinion, it was not up to Lush standards. It didn't lather too well, left my skin feeling tacky, and I didn't feel clean afterwards.

However, if you are trying to convert someone (like your grandma, no offense to grandmas) to Lush products and they are hesitant to try rainbow fizzing ballistics, then this is a safe bet.

I received this as a sample from a previous LUSH order, and love it. I have body acne and dermatitis and it works great for this. My husband uses it as a facial wash everyday in the shower. One tiny sample has lasted 2-3 weeks and will probably last 2 more at least. I recently ordered a full bar.

My ONLY complaint is it barely smells at all.... I know that for something considered a "complexion" soap for the face you dont want a strong smell, but this smells like every other typical bar soap, to me. I dont get the "rosey" smell everyone else does. Maybe my full size bar will be different.

Overall, if you have acne or sensitivity i would recommend this soap.

So it is all that you say it is. My sensitive skin loves this soap and, though it doesn't lather, I don't care. Lather, I am told, is a function of pH. Soaps that lather well often have a pH value which isn't that great for skin and hair. Also the fragrance is subtle and comforting like freshly laundered flannel jammies dried on a clothesline on a sunny day. I think this is marvelous!

Love the light, rosy but not over-flowery scent but I wish it stayed on my skin longer! Leaves my skin soft but not feeling greasy as some shea butter soaps can. I've used this on my face and it's felt clean and rinsed off well.

We have tried everything for my son's dermatitis. This product is wonderful. My whole household can use it! We love it! We use it for face, body and hair! So, this is great for a budget buyer as well

Well the soap is quite moisturizing from the cocoa butter but other than that it was completely sad. There was no scent other than the soap wax and even though it moisturized it left a strange residue. I was expecting roses...do yourself a favor and read the reviews.

So I bought this one for the smell alone, seriously it smells like fresh roses. The smell is so wonderful that I really wish it was a better product. I was sad when it made my skin itch and left this nasty residue behind. :( But I did smell amazing. So I might buy it for my mom,She has more normal, non sensitive skin, but I won't use it again.

Smells like rose. Doesn't lather at all. I didn't try it on my face like Lush recommends, so I can't speak for that. I just used it in the shower. It does leave you feeling clean, though. Also, it definately outlasts other Lush soaps (as far as not melting quickly). Not the best, not the worst.

Why? Please tell me why this would be a "retro lush"! This is my favourite smelling soap by Lush. Hopefully someday Lush will remove this from Retro, and sell it in the stores again. It makes my skin feel great, and I know I'll always keep some of this in my "Lush arsenal".
