I've been using this as eyeliner, but it would be easy to use as a shadow too since it's so blendable - this means that if you want to KEEP it as liner, fingers off! I love the deep shimmery brown color, but I'm still learning to use it as a liquid liner (never really done it before). The brush is a little thick/liner a little viscous, but if it gets on my lashes luckily it just gets covered by mascara.

I love the color, and it blends well, but it's pretty useless as a liner and therefore rendering the brush useless. If you want the dark bronze, you've got to apply many layers. I use this as an everyday shadow along with Sophisticated.

So. I have never fallen so hard for a cosmetic product before. And I'm an avid collector of the cult classics and uppity brand names. QUIETLY MOTIVATED IS MY BEST FRIEND. So versatile. I use it daily on my brows, and I've never been more pleased. Also, it works great as an eyeshadow (OBV). I hope it loves me, too.

This is a wonderful color. It's a bronze shimmery brown that can really draw the eye or subtly highlight. I use it as both an eye shadow and eyeliner.
One thing I've noticed (and a few other reviewers have mentioned) is that it can be messy--due to the fact that it's designed to dry slowly to allow you to blend it. You have to be careful putting it on--espeically if you have long eye lashes like I do, you're probably going to get some of it on your lashes--but because it dries so slowly you can easily wipe it away or blend it down to nearly nothing.
If you use it and you find it messy, just keep practicing putting it on. The line you make with the brush depends on how delicately you can draw the line--I've found you can get a great thin line through practice at keeping your touch light and sliding it just above the eyelashes. Remember to scrape the brush on the edge of the bottle before you use it, a little goes a long way! Because it's so silky you don't need force to get it on the skin at all, but once you leave it alone and let it dry it's there all day long.
It doesn't hurt when you accidently get some in your eye, either, which is a huge thing for me (espeically when I was first learning how to put it on.)
It is so worth the effort, the color is amazing. Definitely try it, and don't give up on it too soon, you won't regret it.

I LOVE Lush products, and was super excited for them to come out with a makeup line. I was very disappointed in the eyeliner though. It is hard to put on and kind of is streaky. It clumps on my eyelashes. Worst of all it is very itchy until it dries and then because my eyes itch they water and it ruins the eyeliner that was hard to get right in the first place. I'm going to give the black eyeliner that dries instantly a try, but this is going in the garbage.

This is beautiful stuff. It goes on very smoothly with the brush applicator; I only wish it was attached to the top, because after every use I have to wash the brush off to store it so it seems wasteful. This mascara doesn't clump, but it does stay wet awhile so you have to not be in a hurry to get out the door. The gold glistens in a subtle and warming way. The gold glittery color does flake off and remain around your upper cheek by the end of the day, but that's kind of nice. I'm a new make-up user and like to keep things subtle; the quality of this mascara and the color is outstandingly perfect for daily, casual use.

I tried Quietly Motivated during my color reading and found it to make a beautiful creme eyeshadow color. It's a gorgeous taupey-brown to use allover your eyelid. Just finish with a little highligher color on the brow brown and some dark brown or black eyeliner and you have a very easy and pretty eye look

I just got this product and really love the color and how easy it is to get the look I want out of it. I can get a soft look for the day or I can add more of it to get a dark dramatic look.
The only problem I have with the product is that I keep getting it on my lashes and it causes them to clump together.

I'm a serious lushie and was so excited for the launch of the emotional brilliance line. The color of quietly motivated was so beautiful, but application was messy and streaky. Plus it makes my eyes super itchy. Really weird considering I've never had trouble with any eye makeup before. Will be returning tomorrow... :(
