My hair has bleach damaged so it tends to feel a bit dry and brittle at the ends. With the recommendation from one of the girls at my local Lush store I came home with Rehab shampoo along with this conditioner, after the first use I felt a huge difference. My hair is soft and shiney I definitely love this product. I've been using it for a while and the results remain great. At first I thought it smelled rather bad but after your hair dries the sent left in is great! I love it :)

This is the first silicone-free/natural conditioner that my hair has ever liked! I have dry, wavy hair that is very long (past my butt) and this product left me so happy. Shinier, healthier, detangled easily, no icky residue, and my hair feels lighter. I just used a little on the ends (and a little worked throughout the length). I don't know why some reviewers say it smells bad because I disgree. I think it smells great and it makes my hair smell great! The only con I can see is the cost for how much you get. It is on the expensive side for how small the container is.

My hair gets dry very easy so I am always looking for a great moisturizing/smoothing conditioner. I used American Dream, which smelled great and worked okay, but it was too expensive for what I got. A woman at Lush recommended I try Retread. I have never regretted a purchase more in my entire life. Immediatly after I rinsed it out my hair felt rough, sticky and just plain gross. I didn't know it was possible for my hair to be that greasy and dry at the same time. My roots felt like they had been washed in grease while my ends felt completly fried. I had to call my stylist for a deep conditioning treatment to get my hair back to its previous condition. I love Lush for my skin, but I will NEVER use another one of their hair products. I didn't realize it was possible for my hair to ever be in such bad condition.

Wowzers! I was given a sample after discussing my hair with someone at LUSH. I never quite believe product claims until I try it myself so I used this and my sample of Rehab shampoo and WOW! I get my hair colored every four weeks using foil but it's more of an all over bleach than highlights which means my hair is delicate and can be dry with breakage. After using this conditioner I was able to comb through my hair easier than ever before. The texture of my hair is now soft like virgin hair!! I cannot say enough good things about this. I am hooked and will be a buyer for life!

This conditioner is perfect for people with curly hair! After I use this my hair is soft, shiny and I have nice (not frizzy) curls. The only problem I have is that I have to use a lot of it which can get expensive if you use it everyday. So sometimes I mix it with other conditioners I have and my hair still turns out very soft and not frizzy.

Among Lush's conditioners, this one has a texture is most like the conventional ones you find at the pharmacy. It's easy to use, and I love the smell. How do I know if my hair is better-nourished? Dunno, but I have no complaints.

I got this product while in the Upper West Side in NYC and I'm glad I did. I LOVE this conditioner! It has changed my life and my hair! It smells great, like avocados and melon. It leaves my hair clean and fresh. My hair is very wavy, fine, and DRY. This product hydrated the ends and the hair shaft so well. I have gotten so many compliments in the past few weeks! I use this as a second conditioner in addition to hair washing routine. I use Pureology Hydrate Shampoo and Conditioner. My hair now smells like mint and avocado for days and looks amazing! Thanks Lush for another amazing product!

I dye my hair regularly, and am always looking for a good deep conditioner to keep my hair soft. I started using Retread and I am really addicted to the way it makes my hair feel. It stays soft and manageable for a few days after one treatment. Retread smells a bit weird to me, sort of a mix of citrus and mayonnaise. But the smell that lingers in your hair afterwards is somewhat pleasant. (My boyfriend likes it anyway!) I love this product and will definitely be back for more!

I got a sample of this after trying to figure out which Lush product was making my hair so tangled. I get regular haircuts, so I can't say my hair is damaged. It IS bleached though (professionally), so it is delicate. This product has restored my faith in shampoos by Lush. I had just been using the wrong formulas for my hair. I like the scent, kind of herbal. It has great slip and I could it see it working for anyone with damaged, thick or curly, dry hair. I would say it might be too much for folks with fine hair, but I have fine hair that is curly and it works great if I just use it on the ends. Now I just have to use up the wrong conditioners before I buy the bottle. *sigh

I bought this last summer and I couldn't really get over the smell. But the smooth texture of my hair kept me using it. My hair had never looked better! I havent had this in over a year and my hair was in desperate need. This time around the smell doesnt bother me at all. I must have just needed time getting used to it. I also love how long this stuff lasts- a little goes a long way even on my frizzy, thick, wavy/ curly hair.

I fried my hair in an at-home dye job disaster a month and a half before my wedding. This product is the only reason my hair looked great in my wedding photos! Even my stylist couldn't believe it. Trade secret: After putting this in your hair, either wrap your hair with a hot towel for 10 minutes, or put a plastic cap on it and use your blowdryer to give it some gentle heat. The heat will open up your hair follicle and it will absorb much more deeply. Then rinse it out with very cold water to close the follicle. Your hair will be crazy shiny!

That being said, it's probably not the best product for people with fine or limp hair. It would probably weigh it down. And the smell is not wonderful, but it's not bad either. I didn't really even notice it.

I have very dry damaged hair and when i went to lush I asked the saleswoman what conditioner would be great for everyday use to help my damaged hair and she said retread would be perfect. It's not. The first time i used it it made my hair feel so healthy i couldn't wait to wash my hair again, but the next time i used it my hair felt so dry. It made my hair so hard to brush out and just made me feel like i wanted to cut all my hair off. A few other things that i disliked about this product was the smell. It smells horrible and it lingers in my hair for HOURS. And the texture of this conditioner is very misleading. In the container it looks like it is very think and will last you forever. Well it doesn't. Once you start rubbing your hands together to put it on your hair it practically disappears in your hands. Then once I actually put it on my hair it made it so tangly. Overall it made my hair feel dry tangled and just all over disgusting.

This is the product that officially made me a Lushie.

While not the first hair product from Lush that I used- that honor goes to Okra- this was the product that won me over. Even my family was and still is impressed with the results I've gotten from this product!

My hair is dry, thick, and very curly. Before Retread, I was unable to find a tried and true product that gave me satisfactory results after every use. My hair always used to just look frizzy, and I was so fed up with it that I wore a bandanna every single day just to keep from having to deal and look at it.

Retread gives me actual curls instead of frizz, and while my hair still lacks shine, it is much healthier with less dead ends. Not just my hair but my scalp as well. I also don't have to use moose or gel to get it to stay looking lovely.

This will forever and always be what keeps me coming back to Lush.

An in-store associate recommended this product to me based on my hair type. I actually like how this conditioner fragrances my hair. However, it appeared to be a lot thicker in the store. I recently cut my thick, dry, coarse, wavy hair from mid-back to shoulder length. I had to use just as much of this conditioner as I would have previously used from other non-Lush brands. I just can't justify spending this much money on a conditioner that doesn't work for my hair so it's going back.

I've been lighting my hair for over a year and this summer has been super dry in Western New York. Amen to this product! My hair was so dry the tangles and spilt ends were raging. One time use and it my hair already feels better and is easier to manage. I have to disagree with some of the other reviews on the scent - I happened to love it. It's a great natural, earthy, free-spirited scent. This was one of my first purchases from LUSH and I'm impressed!

After many years looking 4 something 2 calm my frizzy,damaged,wavy,thick,down 2 the middle of my back hair, I have found the golden ticket and this is it,I leave it in for 5-10minutes while I finish scrubbing my body with Rub,Rub,Rub(another product I love)and my hair gets complaments all the time now,the key is to leave it in for 5-10minutes!

First off, to me this smells like a combination of dirt and pot. However, it works so amazing that I don't even care. I regularly color my thick wavy/curly hair and it is not in good shape. It's dry, tangled, breaks easily and just looks dull most of the time. Enter Retread. This stuff is amazing. AFter the very first time I used it, my hair was already softer and less tangled. Regular use of this puts my hair in great condition. I pair this with Curly Wurly shampoo.

This is the best conditioner I have ever used in my entire life. I just scoop a little bit of this creamy wonder in my hand and smooth it through my hair. I used to use so much conditioner in my awfully dry hair to make it soft, but I barely use any of this and together with Rehab shampoo, turned my hair from fried to soft and touchable in one use and with every day my hair looks nicer and nicer. If you can afford to spend [$] on conditioner, then you have absolutely no excuse to buy this. I used this conditioner and will never go back.

I have decently long hair (falls mid- back), but i am still wanting to grow my hair out. I realized that all the shampoos and conditioners that I was buying from the store were really damaging my hair! So I turned to LUSH. When I went into LUSH I expressed my concern about my splitting ends and my dry hair, so an employee suggested both retread and rehab. The first time I used retread i wasn't that pleased. It seemed that it really did nothing for my hair. But i was very wrong. You must be patient when you use most LUSH products. I have used retread and rehab together for about a month now and already many people have commented that my hair looks thicker and healthier.
i use retread in a variety of ways to keep my hair looking healthy!
I use it as my conditioner when I shower with rehab. But I also use retread as a deep conditioning mask. I put retread all over my dry hair until i feel it has saturated fully. Then i tie my hair up and put it inside a plastic bag. i sit under a blow drier for around 5 minutes and then wash it off with cold water. I actually saw the suggestion for this routine on this page and would love to thank that very helpful LUSH user! :) This routine leaves my hair SLIGHTLY greasy, but it is great for nourishing hair. Other times I will put retread on my hair and just let it sit for a few hours and curl up and watch some tv. Then i shampoo my hair and it feels so so soft!!! I do the blow drier (or having retread in my hair for a few hours) about once a week.
the product is expensive, but very worth the money especially when paired with LUSH's rehab shampoo!
