It is sad that I am writing this review;though, it must be done. I started using this hoping it would make my hair feel like all the good reviews say. However, this product does not agree with my scalp. It really is a bummer; after rinsing my hair would just fallout from the root. I wish it wasn't the case, but it works great for my boys friends mom.So, always keep in mind every one is different. & I suggest sampling a shampoo or conditioner before you buy it!! Any ways sorry lush! :(

This is my regular conditioner with the Godiva bar shampoo. I wash my hair every other day and blow it dry to straighten it. I am 50 years old with just past shoulder-length, dyed hair. After years of buying salon products (from my stylist) he asked me what I was using on my hair and then said: "keep using it, your hair is amazing." My hair smells awesomme and is thick, shiny, healthy....it's like being in my twenties again. I love this stuff. Please never quit selling it.

I was given a sample of this at my local shop and am in love with it. I really didn't care for the smell at first but once my hair dried it smelled really good. I work at a coffee shop and after an 8hr shift my hair smells like its been soaking in brewed coffee. I washed my hair with Retread on a Tuesday night then worked 2 8hr shifts Wed and Thurs and you would never know it. 48hrs later my hair looked and smelled like I had just washed it. I have never experienced any other hair product that could keep my hair from smelling like coffee. Plus, I have super fine, thin hair and usually have to wash my hair every day.
I agree with other reviewers that at first it felt like I hadn't rinsed the product well enough from my hair, not greasy just kinda thick. But after an hour it absorbed into my hair and felt amazing. Really soft, smooth, and clean. Its a little pricey for me but so worth it. I still feel the benefits of it after washing my hair and not reapplying Retread on the second wash. I'll only need to use this conditioner 2-3 times a week

I LOVE this conditioner!
1) it smells good. I'm not a big fan of flowery smells but it smells like sweet flowers. AND my hair smells amazing for like all day! It's awesome.
2) It really does condition. A little goes a long way and it works well. A tootsie roll size will cover shoulder length hair, even if it's thick.
3) My hair already feels healthier! I have damaged hair that's been dyed and bleached and my God poor thing it is sooo fried but this conditioner has amazingly already made my hair LOOK and FEEL better. i kid you not! It's products like these that make me trust LUSH and purchase $500 worth of their stuff. In three weeks haha

Although this is the deepest conditioner I have yet found and I use this with the Blousey shampoo, I find my thick course hair (which is also highlighted) is NOT CONDITIONED enough to be detangled. I have to use the Jungle bar mid-shaft to end to keep my hair from tangling on top of this.

But this is the best tub-styled conditioner they offer and if you have thick course hair or fine you can use this daily - it does not weight the hair down or build up. I put oil on my underneath back area of my hair lightly to avoid tangling and it seems to work.

I have long, thick, fine, processed, frizzy, dry hair. Usually I only wash it once a week. I really wanted to like this product. I got this conditioner with Rehab shampoo. First, I had to use a lot (almost a full handful!) of this conditioner because it didn't spread through my hair well, and if I didn't add enough, it would leave my hair all tangled. Even after a thorough rinse, after I blow-dried my hair it would leave an almost greasy residue. Nothing has ever made me absolutely NEED to wash my hair every day like this conditioner has. I was really hoping that this conditioner would salvage my hair, but I have switched to American Cream and so far, it's working a lot better.

I bleach my hair but I like to keep it long, past shoulder length. I have always struggled finding a product that will keep my hair in decent condition with all of the bleaching, blow drying, and straightening. This is that product! My hair has never felt softer and silkier. It has never looked healthier and shinier. I use this every other day along with Blousey. It is a little bit pricey but it is so worth it!

I started using Retread, along with Rehab, about a month ago and my hair has never felt better. I generally have to brush out my hair profusely after I get out of the shower but with retread that's no longer a problem. It really makes my hair smooth and silky. I have very fine hair and I don't feel it weighs my hair down at all. I was told my the sales associate to focus it more on my roots than my scalp but find it works great all over my oily head. I only have to use such a small amount that I feel the price is worth paying. My only complaint is the smell. I don't think it smells as bad as some are saying, or maybe the smell has grown on me, but it doesn't smell great.

I really love this!
I was recommended the combination of Big shampoo and Veganese conditioner by a staff but my hair just got squeaky and more tangled.
But when I changed my conditioner to this one, I was amazed by how smooth my hair can be!
I don't have to spend time untangling my hair now.

Now I use this conditioner with I love juicy shampoo and it's working out great!

I have tried everything from salon-grade to name brand products and even cleansing conditioners...NOTHING has made my hair as wonderfully scented, silky and shiny as these three products.

My only caution: I wouldn't use Retread directly on your scalp. I grab the "pony-tail" portion and focus there and on the ends, then whatever is left I smooth OVER the top of my head but I do NOT work it into the scalp. When I did that, it left my scalp a little greasy/oily.

A "warning": a little goes a long way! I take two fingers and scoop out about as much as the size of a large grape and that is more than enough. My hair is now just down past my collarbone and I'm planning on letting it grow out even longer.

I have long, coarse, thick and wavy hair prone to greasiness at the roots. This product won't please everyone but it pleases me. I do not use this as an everyday conditioner because I have greasy hair and this is a somewhat greasy conditioner out of the pot. Although it is not thick like many conditioners, it will still weigh your hair down if you use too much. I use a dollop about the size of a small strawberry. If you just plop the dollop in your hair, it won't work nicely. You need to gently work it through the ends, avoiding the roots if you have oily hair as I do. It weighs my hair down if I use a heavy shampoo, so I like to use a shampoo with volumising properties like sea salt. I often use I Love Juicy with it, which contains sea salt and removes excess oil. It is an effective detangler but a very nice conditioner. My hair, although coarse, is not damaged. I do not know how it would work on heavily damaged hair. I recommend this for those who like a proper conditioning every week or fortnight. Others have complained of the scent but I do not find it offensive. It certainly does not have one of Lush's typically strong or distinct scents, but it is not by any means gross. The smell is underwhelming in the pot, but it doesn't cause your hair to stink of anything either. If you want scent and conditioning properties, I suggest mixing it with a small dollop of one of Lush's more fragrant conditioners or a bit of scented natural oil.

I really like this product. It smells amazing!!! I have very fine hair though so I find it weighs it down a bit but I assumed that would be the case going into it. I use this conditioner once a week with my scalp-treating shampoo.

Oh Lush, I want to love your conditioners so much and yet it's been so hard! My hair is long, thin, and very dry. It has eaten conditioner ever since I can remember and years of bleaching in my teens have left it in need of seriously conditioning. After trying American Cream (which smells amazing but didn't work at all) the Lush employee recommended this. I was super disappointed in it's smell, it actually smells pretty horrible, and it doesn't condition nearly as much as I'd like it to. I tried to go back to my drugstore conditioner because it left my hair softer and easier to manage, but I could really feel the chemicals building back up. I decided to try using both a good amount of Retread AND American Cream on my ends, and it does a good enough job. (I also use Trichomania shampoo on my ends.)

I bought Retread, kind of hesitant about the smell of the products as most people think the smell is awful. Much to my surprise, personally, I love the smell of it. I use most of the product on the ends of my hair where it tends to dry out and I have a lot of split ends. I've been using this for 2 weeks now and immediately see the result that my hair is so much healthier than it used to be, a lot less split ends too. I would advice not to use much of this products near the scalp cause it does tend to leave an oily residue but for the ends of your hair, it's absolutely amazing. It's quite expensive for the small jar but I will probably be repurchasing this for the effectiveness and the smell.

I cannot rave enough about this product! I have damaged hair due to straightening and curling. My split ends are really bad.... until i used this product! I have also cut back on the heat A LOT too. But i feel that this product has helped my hair re-gain its natural shine and everything. Thanks lush for this amazing product! its worth every penny (:

To be completely honest I was weary about buying this at first but after I used it, I was very please. Feels great. doesn't weigh down thick hair, and leave no residue. I have extremely damaged hair from bleaching multiple times and going back to dark all in a short period of time. My hair feels silky smooth and my ends look nowhere near as bad as they use to. Finally found a deep conditioner that I enjoy. Many people have complained about the smell but I don't mind it at all.
