A refreshing floral dip into springtime

When the blossoms burst forth in spring, it’s a tradition to take a picnic and bottle of sake and enjoy the beauty. Noriko, one of our product inventors, hails from Japan and this beautiful Bath Bomb represents what it’s like to be in a park while the breeze blows through the blossoms in the trees. Instead of heading to the park, lay back in serene waters while the gorgeous scents of mimosa and jasmine envelop you to give you the joyful feeling of springtime. Sakura: simple, elegant, and enduringly beautiful bathing.

Features

  • The smell of springtime: Mimosa flowers yield the intense, floral fragrance of mimosa absolute.
  • Salty season:We use sea salt for its soothing effects on the skin, and also to decorate every blooming Sakura.
  • Blossom bathing: If you love the fragrance of Sakura, you’ll adore Rub Rub Rub shower scrub and our Seanik shampoo bar.

Ok, so when I first heard about Lush, all I heard about were the bath bombs. Eh, I thought, whatever. So I tried a good many Lush products and didn't waste my time with bath bombs. How good could they be? I mean, you drop them in the bath, they fizz, you soak, and that's it. Why waste the money?

Oh, how wrong I was.

I finally bought a Sakura bath bomb for my birthday (as well as a bunch of soaps and other products) and saved the bath bomb. I put it in my top drawer, so the wonderful scent would perfume my underthings. Worked great, but I still kept holding off on using it.

Then I finally took the plunge. And OH MY GOODNESS... the bath water was so soft, and perfectly scented, my skin was soft, I was amazed that something that fizzed away and floated around for only minutes could make for such an amazing bath. I soaked for nearly 20 minutes, enjoying the fragrance and the softness left behind. I need to have more of this, as soon as possible!

This bath bomb has totally won me over. No longer will I think of bath bombs as something that just fizz, look pretty, and are gone before you know
it. Oh no, this bath bomb is amazing and so much better than anything I'd imagined a bath bomb could be.

I'm hoping this was a dud. It smelled nothing like any other cherry blossom scented product I've ever gotten from other places, which I found absolutely heavenly. They say in their description that this is what THEY think it should smell like, so I'm not sure if that means they chose not to use the typical scent or what... Cherry blossom is possibly my favorite scent in the world, but I was very sad about this bomb.

I used it anyway, hoping it would smell all right in the bath. The smell stung my nose. It didn't do anything to my water, and my skin got red and splotchy like with bath products not from Lush (my skin is pretty sensitive). I didn't have any really bad reactions, it just wasn't anything good and I couldn't last longer than about 5min.

Comments about LUSH Sakura Bath Bomb:

I was looking for something nice and simple to take a bath in one day, and I wanted to try something new. I've been under cherry blossom trees, and vaguely remembered using a cherry blossom soap once upon a time, and Sakura smelled lovely enough, so I picked it up.

It fizzed wonderfully in the bath, the smell filled the apartment, and I was relaxed and happy as I soaked in the tub. It didn't leave behind any film or grit, and all was well.

Honestly, I don't have complaints about Sakura as I just don't have raves for it. The cherry blossom smell is truly lovely, but it just doesn't smell right on my skin. On some people, I'm sure it will smell exotic and feminine, but on me (I'm an Alkmaar/Twilight/Flying Fox type) it just smelled powdery and matronly. Of course, the smell lingered on me, on my sheets, and all through the apartment for the rest of the day, so if you get on well with this scent, you are in luck! I also felt a bit dried out afterwards, so I would not recommend Sakura to anyone with dry skin unless also used with a bath melt or a lotion.

Again, I do think Sakura is a fine product, it's just not for me.

Sakura was my first Lush bomb, when i was looking at my choices i thought i like sakura trees i wanna try it.. now i dunno what i was expecting but i was kind of disappointed because there wasnt much to it, but the smell was really nice even tho it didn't last it still was nice while it lasted, now... one of my favorite things to do is when i come back from my lush store is to break up my purchase's into little snack size zip locks and seeing what i REALLY bought *hopefully some of you lushie's can relate* being the lush-a-manic that likes to get the most out of her bath luxury's. I should of done that with this because even tho it wasn't flashy it made the water super silky!

Comments about LUSH Sakura Bath Bomb:

Sakura is the first LUSH product I ever tried, way back in 2006. To my disappointment, the scent didn't linger on my skin very much.

Now it's 2012 and I can't find any bath bombs I love more than Sakura. The scent is just intoxicating. I love, love LOVE that scent. I buy 2-3 extra Sakuras and put them in my underwear and sock drawer. They make my clothing smell extra delicious.

No, the scent still doesn't linger on skin very long. It does linger in my bathroom though which is great because I'm the only woman in my house. My son (age 4) came in to my bath tonight and said "Oh Mommy, that smells DELICIOUS." He made me promise I would let him have a LUSH bath tomorrow.

It's boring as bombs go. There are no surprises, no glittery, no colors. It just smells really good. If I want something pretty to look at, I will opt for a Sex Bomb over Sakura. But Sakura's clean, crisp scent draws me back over and over again. I love that smell so much.

Comments about LUSH Sakura Bath Bomb:

After a long hiatus from my indulgent Lush baths, I decided to try Sakura. I've always enjoyed this bath bomb's soft scent and colors while shopping in-store, so I decided to give it a try at home. After dropping it in the bath, I was pleased with the soft scent that filled the room as I waited for tht multi-sensory expereince I have grown to expect from Lush products to develop. All I remember thinking was "That's it?" The water did not change color at all. I expected the blue and pick flecks in the bath bomb to give me a bit of a show, or maybe the water might turn a soft pink color, but no. Nothing. Just a soft scent that dissipated quickly, a fast fizz, and that's it. I was left wanting more and ended up cutting my bath very short.

I put it in my bath and it fizzed for a little bit but the center is slow to melt. Some people may think that is not exciting as some of Lush's other products but I found it relaxing to just sit there with my chunk of lava rock looking bath bomb enjoying the scent. The thing about this product that made it worth it to me was that my skin while I was in the bath felt AMAZING. It was so soft and luxurious feeling and I felt truly pampered. I also used the sea salt scrub while in the bath all over my body and the scent of the bath bomb still showed through. If you really love the smell I would recommend it because it lingers on the skin and I can't stop smelling my arm. I got it as a gift and I would totally get it for someone as a gift in the future.

Comments about LUSH Sakura Bath Bomb:

My favorite thing about the Lush bath bombs is the exciting colors they turn the water. I was a bit disappointed when this one didn't seem to do anything to my water. I also cut my bath bombs into small pieces so I can use them more than once, but when I put a piece of this one in it did virtually nothing, so I was a bit upset that I had to use the whole thing to get some sort of effect. The smell is nice, and it made my skin soft, but I can get the same effect from different bath bombs that are more exciting to me. This is more of a bath bomb for someone that doesn't like the bombs that leave color and have stuff in them.

This was the first bath bomb I ever used from Lush, and one of my first purchases. It bubbled up so well and smelled so good. Seems as though it made my skin super soft, and the fragrance lasted all day long. It did exactly what it was supposed to, not much more I can say about it!

I was expecting much more from this bath bomb. The smell was very very faint in the bathtub. The smell was gross if I could smell it. The color of the bath didn't have an color change, it just made the water sorta milk-colored. It was however very moisturizing, which is always a plus. I added Dreamtime Bath Melt and that made it way better! Overall though, I would not repurchase this product.

This was the first LUSH product I've tried and I am very happy with it. I have been overly stressed lately and so I ran a bath and used half of this product and a third of the bubble bar Dorothy and I can't remember the last time I've felt this relaxed. The product is very affective, and mixed with a fun bubble bar it creates an amazing bath. The scent isn't overpowering and lingers in the air long after the bath giving that room a nice clean scent. I highly recommend this product for those who need to relax.

I love this product, first Lush bath bomb I've ever used. It smelt amazing and when using rub rub rub in the bath with it, it was like double amazing. I really love this.

Comments about LUSH Sakura Bath Bomb:

This was the first ever bath bomb I tried from LUSH. I haven't purchased any more, because it was so disappointing.

The only good thing I can say about this product was that the actual bath bomb smelled really, really good. That's why I bought it.

But that scent doesn't translate to the bathtub. It left no scent in the water. The only color change was to a gross milky gray color. Didn't have any softening effects that I noticed.

Overall, it was just a really dull experience.

Comments about LUSH Sakura Bath Bomb:

For most enjoyment get into the bath before dropping the bath bomb into the water. That way you can play around with it as it fizzles away.
I got out of the bath after using this product about 3 hours ago and I can still smell the light floral cherry blossoms. It's very pleasant and not too strong. Walking upstairs towards the bath I can smell it in the air. It's just lovely and I my skin feels very soft and I feel very relaxed. I need to buy 80 more of these things.
This was my first LUSH purchase and I am hooked for life.

This bath bomb smells great, but it's lacking something special. I know not all bath bombs are ballistic, but with a smell as great as this it needs something more. I don't know what I expected, but when it fizzed away I was kind of disappointed with my clear water... As long as this doesn't bother you, it's a pretty good product.

Comments about LUSH Sakura Bath Bomb:

I love this bath bomb by itself but I love it even more when mixed with bubble bars and bath melts. The scent is wonderful and it lingers on my skin and it has even made my robe smell wonderful. Try using Sakura bath bomb with a 1/4 of Blue Skies & Fluffy White Clouds bubble bar and 1/4 of Floating Island bath melt, you won't be disappointed!
