I picked up this product because I had ran out of buffy (which I've been using for a while now) and wanted to switch up my exfoliant. This is definitely more exfoliating and smells better than buffy, but not as moisturizing.

Don't get me wrong, its not bad that its not as moisturizing, just you would need to use it with something else (which was already the case for me when I was using buffy) in order to make sure that your skin is super soft.

I first use the sandstone then I wash my body over with the olive branch shower gel and then I put on the Ro's argan body conditioner (which i HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend) and when I'm out I use the dream cream lotion and my skin stays super lotion soft (as if I JUST applied lotion) for 2 days.

All in all I like this better than buffy only because I'm looking more for an exfoliant to help me with my cellulite. :)

I had no idea a soap could be this amazing. But I bought it after it was recommened to me at the store.
Not only does it smell amazing and leave me feeling fresh and clean, it apparently has magic!
First, it's great for exfoliating before shaving. Second, it's fantastic for any body break outs. And third of all, it's great for stretch marks. I had some stretch marks on my thighs from dance and I also had a little patch of cellulite ever since I was about 7 (for whatever reason) that drove me nuts for years! And literally after using this soap for a week, it's all gone! I can't believe it. And it's still gone too. Plus, it lasts a long time if you take care of it (by not storing it in a puddle of water!)
Also, I have pretty sensitive skin and haven't had any problems in that regard. Though, I wouldn't recomend using it on your face (but I did once use the non-gritty side on my face in a rush and nothing bad happened).

I LOVE Lush products, and am hooked for life. However, this bar proved disappointing. It smells nice however it was not as exfoliating as I had hoped and left an awful mess in my tub that I had to clean up every 2 or 3 days or else the tub looked disgusting. I'll stick to the Karma soap I think...

Wonderful! I use this soap a few times a week in the shower to exfoliate/wash my tougher skin, like calves, thighs, and arms. Ideally I'd use this every day, but the cost makes that prohibitively expensive..

This is a perfect exfoliating soap. The sand is fine but gritty enough to really scrub skin (not recommended if you have sensitive skin). I find this works really well on the KP on my arms, and the smell is just divine. More than just lemon, it also has a tropical, floral kind of undertone that I wish Lush would make into a perfume or lotion! Love this soap.

I like the smell and make-up of this soap. Great citrus scent and I love the sand that is in it. I don't see myself using this as an everyday soap. I will save it for those days when I'm at the beach and want to wash off the sea water and sweat.

I love this so much! The scent is AMAZING! It exfoliates well, leaving my skin very soft after using it. It moisturizes, and gets rid of those little bumps on your upper arms. It's so nice to use after a hard day. I ride horses, so after a long stressful day, I love to scrub away the dirt with it.

The first and second time you use it, it leaves your skin looking red and scratchy. It also doesn't last very long.

I've tried a lot of different soaps and so i decided to try this one. I like how the sand exfoliates but do know that it's a tad messy. So,it's best to take a shower when you use this soap. I love the smell of this soap! It almost reminds me of sexy peel but with sand in it. It's like two in once bar of soap. It gets skin really smooth but you might want to apply lotion on after using.

This soap is absolutely AMAZING !!! I don't want to live without it . The smell is intoxicating and the soap helps exfoliate all the little blemishes on your skin. I would definetly recommend it for those who have body break outs .

Sandstone is a really lovely soap overall; the smell is great and the lather is acceptable. The biggest problem I had was that sometimes the sand was too much of an exfoliate. I can use it right on my feet and other really rough spots, but scrubbing it directly on most of my skin was too scratchy. I prefer to lather the soap up in my hands, then apply it where I'm washing. Then I only get bits of sand and it's not too harsh. I will definitely be buying this soap again!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this soap. It is great for exfoliating and makes my skin feel so soft and smooth. It smells great too. It smells like citrus with an earthy tang, the scent doesn't really last after washing though. With that said, if you're not REALLY careful it will melt very quickly. Also, I've never had this soap have a layer of the sand that is mentioned or shown in the pictures (and I've bought several bars)mostly the sand is mixed in alternately with creamy, soothing soap. Its kind of like two soaps in one. Fabulous!

I absolutely love this soap. It smells great, and it's so scrubby. I have keratotis pilaris, which is the pretty normal condition where you have tiny red bumps on your upper arms and sometimes other areas, and this has done more to reduce that than anything I've ever tried. My arms look so smooth, and I think it's almost completely cleared that up with using this soap and a moisturizer. Highly recommended!

I love this Soap!!! It smells amazing! When I use this soap, I feel like I'm on vacation in the beach. Cool wind, hot sand, and cold citrus drink!
Smell of this soap is amazing if you are citrus lover.
It has small sand particle in the soap and it makes the skin softer after using. Watch out if you have very sensitive skin because it might irritates the skin.
After using it, the soap does dries the skin little but I think there's no problem if you apply lotion after. I mean, it removes your dead skins away so there is chance of getting dryer skin after using it.

I absolutely love this soap! I think it is amazing, so I'm surprised by the comments here. I'm confused that people think the sand is too rough, but compared to the crushed almond, etc. it's quite 'soft' or fine.

The way I use it is: rub it all over my body (especially elbows, knees, and feet) and make sure I get a good lather. Then I wash it off, which, I admit, does leave a bit of a mess with the sand, but it's pretty easy to scoot off with your feet. Then when you're out of the shower, you grab the Each Peach (or if you have King of Skin, then you apply it before using the soap) and moisturize.
I haven't had my skin this smooth since I was a baby! And if you use the massage bar or body butter then you can use the soap everyday.
It's amazing.

I'm on a real beach kick right now- when I was re-upping my Lush stash, I just searched BEACH and scooped up everything that fell in that category. I LOVE the feeling of the sand in the soap. LOVE IT. Makes me feel a little less depressed that I don't live on the beach. It smells good and comes off easily to!

I got this in a birthday box. The smell of this soap is awesome, but every time after I use it it looks as if I just got back from the beach and buried myself in the sand! I rinse out the tub as best I can, and every time the shower dries there is a layer of sand on the tub that I have to rinse again. Also now my drain is really clogged and I have to find a way to clean the sand out, I'm told I'll probably need a shop vac or snake... If the soap didn't have sand in it, I would give it all the stars, unfortunately it seems more trouble than it's worth with all the drain and tub trouble.

I love the smell of this but unfortunatly I don't seem to be having any luck with getting the exfoliating part of Lush soaps, like the sand in this soap or the salt in sea vegetable. Smells good though

i like sandstone because it makes me feel clean and exfoliated...the scubby parts on it are very fine so it doesn't rub my skin too much like some products. there isn't a distinctive smell, and if i bought this again it'd be for my bf.
