This was my first Lush purchase and I am so happy - lime and lavender are probably my two favorite scents, and I can smell them both in this. I would wear it as perfume, but then again I have odd taste in perfume. :) It cleans my skin without scrubbing and I never feel dry. I don't mind the hunks of seaweed. My only beef is that the scent doesn't linger, but that's not really Lush's fault - I just do not have porous skin. Nothing sticks to my skin or hair. Bummer! That won't stop me from trying, though.

I bought this soap for the benefits of the ingredients, the look, and the smell. I also wanted a long-lasting soap that would be good for a whole-body clean.
It has a great smell, lovely appearance, and because it's a harder soap, it lasts a long time (or rather, the soap layer lasts).
The down side of the long-lasting soap may be that it's really difficult to work up a lather or spread the soap around my body. I feel like I have to use the bar directly on my skin, but that's uncomfortable because of the coarse sea salt layer.
The salt layer is a great exfoliant on rough, thick skin, but it's a bit too irritating on sensitive skin. It also separates from the soap layers fairly easily.
Granted, if you don't want to find random bits of plant or mineral in your shower drain or bathtub, don't buy Lush products. They're stuffed with natural solid bits, and the buyer should expect some shedding.
I think I'll go back to Lush to buy a soap without an exfoliating layer that is a little bit softer. My showers will be faster by far.

This is kind of just ok for me. I liked the smell pretty well but it didn't linger at all. I really scrubbed it in and let it sit for awhile too. It smelled like clean soap but not the original scent. It didn't dry my skin, but I'm not really dry to begin with. Some would need moisturizer with it, I believe. The lather was not really happening but it did make a good slip and I shaved with it just fine. I like other scents by Lush better for my dollar.

My first time trying this soap. I have tried lathering it up onto my loofah and my body it has no lathering effect at all. I hardly could smell the lime and lavender, odd because lavender has a strong smell.
Pros: pretty colors of blue and green with the interesting seaweed texture being a Pisces girl it won me over.
The seaweed is nice on the one side for exfoliating.
I think this soap could have potential to be improved with some experiments.

I got this as a gift and liked the smell immediately. After some use I've come to see this as a wonderful daily use soap because the smell isn't too strong or conflict with my other Lush products. I have horrible scent allergies, and so I don't say this lightly: this soap smells great. Normally I avoid scented products like they're on fire, but the weird and mild ocean scent of this bar soap is great, and leaves me feeling fresh and clean. I use the scratchy seaweed to exfoliate and the lower half to wash my body and I always come out feeling more awake and clean than before.
This is without a doubt my favorite Lush product, and when my bar runs out I will buy another one. It's eerily beautiful and brings me to memories of nicer, less wintery places.
I can see how it might be a bit drying for someone with already dry skin but I'm naturally oily and find that it helps nicely to clean up.
Sea Vegetable is a wonderfully refreshing soap and it's mild enough that I don't smell it all day. It got me loving fancy looking bar soap, and really turned me on to the idea of salt in other products.
If you daydream about beaches this might be the soap for you.

This is a very nice soap. It lathers about the same as all lush soaps, which is not that great. It smells lovely; refreshing, and ocean-like! The color is nice, and it is very pretty. My only dislike of this soap is that the smell doesn't linger after use.

If you really like a lot of lather, rub the soap on a wet shower scrunchie and you will get loads of bubbles.

I brought this soap home for my beach-loving boyfriend and he absolutely loved it. He loves lemon and lime scents, so I definetly felt the lime scent was "masculine" enough for his taste. He used it with the Big Blue Bath Bomb, so he was in absolute heaven in his relaxing ocean-tub. Once the soap gets thin, it even looks just like sea glass! I can't wait to surprise him with more ocean themed Lush products.

This is by far my favorite Lush product! I am very fond of active ocean activities such as scuba diving, surfing, and fishing. Being away from the ocean for long periods of time puts a damper on my life, but being I found the perfect soap that brings me back to "life". It most certainly reminds me of coming out of the saltwater, yet without leaving a sticky residue on my skin afterwards. It has a zing to it, quite lemony in smell. I don't smell the lavender very much, but that's totally OK (even being a fan of lavender)! It lasts considerably long unlike Snowcake and Sandstone. I learned to cut my soaps in halves, wrap them in wax paper, and store them in a plastic container for future use. Quick TIP: Sea-Vegetable cleans the nasty fish smell lingering on hands after a good day out on the water.

I love the smell of this soap! I love the mix of lavender and lime with the little pieces of seaweed on top! I think the mix of purple and green in this soap is so pretty! The smell mixes perfectly with my favorite Twilight Shower Gel! The lavender in this soap makes for a very relaxing shower and the little pieces of seaweed on top of this soap make it just a tiny bit exfoliating, which is great for legs before shaving!
The only thing that I would change about this soap is that it is a little drying, I wish that Lush would make it a little bit more moisturizing.

When I first saw this bar on the website and saw the name of it, I thought that I would smell reminiscent of the sea, you know, because of the seaweed and sea salt. But it just smells like a citrus bar. I wish that it would smell more like the sea, more natural smelling. But that being said, I think it has a great scent, the lather is decent, and I wish it was a bit more moisturizing.
