This is the perfect body wash and shampoo after working in the yard or garden. I don't think I can use anything else as it lends itself so perfectly to the scent of wonderful growing things. It's green without being sharp or biting, has some soft floral notes and the scent lingers well into the evening. Even better: it doesn't dry out my skin! A staple for the shower!

This is possibly my favorite Lush product out of many, many favorites. If the day has been long, stressful and just plain awful, it is time for a bath with Smaragadine. Pure magic! It soothes the brain and soul, keeps my skin soft, and my husband adores it as well. Oddly I have noticed that no matter what, when I use Smaragadine the bath temperature is always perfect ...especially with candles glowing in the dark. Never thought I would find something that surpasses Tramp.... this is it.

After reading the other reviews, I thought I would love Smaragadine. It must be one of those "love it or leave it" products. I just can't get past the smell. It's as weird as the name - earthy in a late-Fall sort of way (campfires and soil). I don't detect any Summery rose or lavender in it at all. The pachouli is THAT overpowering. If you want to try it, buy the small bottle.

I'm really happy that I only bought the small bottle of this. It's far too earthy and green for me. Not in the grass sort of way, but in the moss/dirt kind of way. I'm considering giving it to my sister-in-law who is really into patchouli and that sort of thing.

I had been dying to get some of this since it showed up on Retro. Now that I have it, I certainly like it, but I am still partial to Tramp over this. The smell is a bit different with the ginger note, but I don't think it lasts on the skin like Tramp. I dislike the thin consistency as it will be used up quicker and I seem to waste a lot of it in the shower. But it is lovely and I'm glad I tried it. I like Lush's take on earthy scents and this is worth a go if you do, too.

This was one of the first products I ever ordered from [@], and after 20+ years, it has remained unforgettable! There isn't a shower gel like it: spicy, earthy, bracing, enveloping you in a warm sudsy hug. The scent has never ever been matched by any product I've used, except maybe Karma soap and Tramp -- apparently, Lush has a stranglehold on my shower time :) If you like green, clean, earthy scents, you'll love this one.

I reviewed this earlier and gave it three stars and said that I would likely not buy this again because it is so runny.

My son and my husband both told me that they absolutely love this smell and are sad that the bottle is almost gone. When I told my husband that it was rose and patchouli that they are loving so much we both had a good laugh!

Looks like this will be a staple in my house after all.

Now if only it weren't so runny...

When I first tried this....I didnt like the smell....but the more I used it...the more I feel in love with it. It has more of a kick to it then Tramp Shower Gel.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the smell now. THis is my favorite shower gel.....and coworkers ask what kind of perfume I am wearing...because its smells so good....smells fresh.

I thought I'd go out on a limb and buy this after reading the description. So happy I did. I'm a big Patchouli fan and really enjoyed Tramp so the idea of adding sandalwood and ginger sounded heavenly. It has a very earthy musky aroma. Almost like an ancient cologne smell. Undeniably masculine. It is sold like a bubble bath (directions say pour under running water) but I use it as a shower gel. Even though the liquid is thinner than I like for how I use it, it produces a large amount of bubbles and lather.

I bought Smaragadine for a gift for my adult daughter, but just had to open it and take a test sniff before wrapping. Then I was hooked. I kept sniffing the back of my hand where I had rubbed a drop. Even after washing my hands, the scent lingered. It called to me and said I had to either steal the bottle meant for my daughter or go buy my own. It's Christmas and I don't want to be too naughty, so I bought my own. I an not too fond of the green color, but I forget about the color as soon as the scent reaches my nose.

This smells wonderful, kinda like Tramp but with more spice to it. It lingers well on the skin and creates tons of bubbles in the bathtub. But this is a very thin consistency! Like water really so if you want to use it on a pouf, beware most of it will run right through the pouf before you can even try to make some bubbles with it. It dries me out a bit but I have sensitive skin to begin with.

I know this from the time it was still a cosmetics to go product. This was, is, will always be my 'signature bathproduct'. I love the smell, warm, woody (you do have to enjoy patchouli).. it lingers for a long long time... hope this will go (back) into the permanent line!!!!!!!!!
