Wet both hair and the shampoo bar. Glide the shampoo bar down the length of your hair about three times (right, left and back). Work into a lather and rinse thoroughly. Follow with LUSH conditioner if needed. Keep your solid shampoo in a cool, dry place between uses; we recommend using a LUSH shampoo bar tin.

Q:Does this product come with the shampoo bar tin or would the tin need to bought separately?Asked on 3/18/2015 by VV from Prescott, AZ
A:Our shampoo bars and shampoo bar tins are sold separately!Answered on 3/20/2015 by Meg from LUSH Direct
A:You will need to purchase the tin separately.Answered on 3/18/2015 by WVUJAK from Beckley
A:The tin is separate, but the nice thing is that the tin is reusable, so you
only have to buy it once.Answered on 3/18/2015 by Anonymous
A:The tin does need to be purchased separately, and I highly recommend
putting the bar into some kind of container to keep it dry between uses.
It makes the bar last longer, and helps to avoid the bar getting "slimy."
However, if you do not want to purchase the tin, you can use a regular soap

Q:Does this product help with dandruff?Asked on 10/17/2014 by Rachael
A:This is a great product that reduces itchiness and dryness, so as a result less dandruff! The rosemary, nettle, and tea tree are invigorating oils great at cleansing and treating scalps affected by stress.Answered on 11/14/2014 by Anonymous
Q:Anyone ever use this as a body soap when traveling? I would like to take just one product with me instead of two! I usually take a shower gel that I also use on my hair, but I'd like to avoid traveling with liquids since I don't want to check a bag. Thanks!Asked on 10/8/2014 by MizTree from USA
A:You can definitely use this as a body soap to save on liquids while traveling!Answered on 10/9/2014 by Kayla from LUSH DIRECT
A:I bought this to take with me when traveling abroad since I only pack a
carry on and I loved it. I bought the tin to go with it which was very
handy and I didn't have to worry about liquids in security checks. I used
it for both hair and body. It worked great for both and I came out of every
shower feeling clean and refreshed. I highly recommend it!Answered on 10/8/2014 by Anonymous
A:I don't have any experience with body soap, but I have been through several
airports with the Squeaky Green Shampoo Bar and it always clears in my
carry-on. Also, many of the restrictions have been relaxed on liquids
provided they are under 3.3 or 3.5 ounces, so I would suggest the Squeaky
Green in a travel tin and either the 3.3 oz Dirty Spring Wash or a Dirty
Bar in a travel tin or plastic case. Clean in two moves!

Q:What's with the sodium laurel sulfate? I thought we were all supposed to be avoiding sulfates. Also, what is the fragrance made out of that is the second ingredient?Asked on 5/29/2014 by N. from San Francisco, CA
A:Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, or SLS, is a surfactant that is naturally derived from coconut or palm kernel oil. It acts as a foaming and cleansing agent and is used to remove oils and dirt. SLS is not the only foaming or dispersal agent available, but we consider it the best choice due to its decades-long history of safe use. Currently all of our shampoos contain SLS. The fragrance component is patented information. For this fragrance it is written in black and is therefore what we consider a safe synthetic.Answered on 9/12/2014 by Anonymous
A:It smells like herbs (the good kinds) and with the sulfates don't worry it is a really good quality shampoo I really enjoyed it and it lasts so much Abu think you will to.
Sent from my iPodAnswered on 6/6/2014 by Anonymous
A:It's pretty light in lather and fragrance, regardless of the chemical
composition; it leaves the hair very clean and soft after rinsing. I know
that doesn't help much with the questions on sulphates, but I've notice my
hair feels clean and healthy since I have been using Squeaky Green. JAKAnswered on 5/30/2014 by WVUJAK from Beckley
Q:Would you recommend it for people who wear dreadlocks?Asked on 4/24/2014 by Badzito from Philippines
A:We don't test our shampoos on dreadlocks specifically so it may or may not work. Before washing your whole head with Squeaky Green, maybe strand test it on the bottom of one dread and see how it reacts.Answered on 5/3/2014 by Anonymous
I don't have any practical experience with Dreads, but having, oily, short
hair; this product leaves the scalp feeling clean and doesn't make my hair
feel dense or weighed down after rinsing.

Q:How long do these usually ask?Asked on 4/18/2014 by paigef
A:If stored properly and left out of any running water, we estimate our shampoo bars last around 60-80 washes. Of course this is dependent on how much and how often you use them.Answered on 4/22/2014 by Kayla from LUSH DIRECT
A:I usually use more than one at a time but I would guess about 2-3 months
depending on how often you shower and how long your hair is.Answered on 4/18/2014 by Anonymous
A:With my pixie cut, I have barely made a dent in one bar over the past four
months. They last much much longer than a bottle of shampoo!Answered on 4/18/2014 by Anonymous
Q:Can you used this on colored hair? Will it wash out the color?Asked on 10/29/2012 by alyssa from usa
A:Our shampoos are not tested on color treated hair, however, some shampoos are definitely better than others for colored hair use, Squeaky Green being one of them. It is best to stay away from products that contain stripping ingredients like fruit juices and salt.Answered on 11/7/2012 by Melissa S from LUSH Direct
