This is absolutely stunning. I'm Mediterranean, so I have a warm tone in my skin, dark hair, dark eyes. This looks so much better than a standard red or cooler red on me. It's a HOT HOT colour and for someone who doesn't wear lip colour too often, it's exciting enough to keep me interested.

It goes on easy, and comes off with makeup remover. Use a lip scrub before use to really get your lips smooth.

I am a very pale, freckle-free ginger. I am so pale that Jackie Oats is too dark on my skin. I bought this because I've been favouring neutral lip colours for years because I felt my lips were too large for my face. I have since come to accept my lips and wear bright colours. I decided on a change and this was an excellent move. This colour is a reddish orange. There are no blue undertones. This was a chancy purchase for me because I have blue undertones in my skin. However, despite having cool undertones, this colour is phenomenal on me. It works with my red hair too. I was told by others it is drying, but it is not. It stayed moist for hours without any base. However, because it is moist, I must use it with a red lipliner or it bleeds. You must also be careful not to let it settle on your teeth. It is also highly pigmented so you don't need a great lot of product and as it is a stain more than a lipstick, it stays put for hours. If you are considering a Lush lip colour but are afraid of the bright shades, perhaps it is worth taking a chance. I was pleasantly surprised. I've since bought a second bottle.

I have very fair skin and hair, and have recently discovered the joys of red lipstick. This is a very daring color for me. It's got a touch of orange to it (blood orange is very accurate), but I love it for evening wear. It pops!
However, I have to apply it carefully. The bottle and swab applicator can be messy. It'll end up all over your face/teeth if you try to swipe it on quickly. You'll also need a lip balm to seal it in. Yes, it requires a little extra work, but then again, it lasts hours longer than my Este Lauder red lipstick.
I've got it figured out and will share my regimen:
Apply to lips, and then gently use a Q-tip or your finger tip to move stain completely over lips. Gently blot your lips on a kleenex. Finish with a lip balm (I've used an oh-so-fancy chapstick). Ta-dah!

I always have my eye out looking for the perfect vibrant brick colored orange. With the tinies hint of brown and the tiniest hint of red. This is by far the closest I've found. It really is a beautifull shade.

I had to take off one star because the applicator stem with the sponge tip broke within a few weeks use. It is very difficult to get a lip brush to fit down into the narrow bottle opening and I am afraid I will either have to waste alot of product with no way to retrieve it from the bottle. Or risk breaking the bottle trying to widen the opening. (not safe!)

The consistence is very good when applied with a brush and the intensity can be subdued with other lush lip balms. The woman at the store recommended using Ultrabalm, and I've not tried that yet. I would rate the staying power at a solid medium.

Overall a wonderfull product, I would like to try other colors but will be reluctant until the bottle and applicator is redesigned.

I absolutely LOVE this lipstick!! It feels light (NOT cake-y, heavy, or sticky), and lasts practically for the entire day. I also love that you can make it a tint or a stain by mixing it with Ultrabalm. A completely unexpected and super fun, classy color.
