I had been looking for a lotion that would soothe my dry, bumpy skin. I had read a few reviews about this product and decided to give it a shot. I made a trip to my Lush store and was suprised to find that it didn't smell like I thought it would. I bought it anyway and used it when I got home. The scent was immediately stronger and better once I had used a little. It smells like vanilla bean ice cream. It's delicious! This lotion is great for after shaving or dry skin. It wraps you in a sweet, creamy blanket. The lotion lasts an okay time but not too long. I am so glad that I did decide to buy it. It is now my go to lotion. If you are contemplating, GET IT! It's totally worth it.

This is hands down the best body lotion I've ever used in my life!!! I went from having dry flakey rough skin to having shiny soft sexy smooth skin that smells so delicious and clean. I use my sandstone bar all over and then apply the lotion everywhere I even use it on my face and have had no problems with dry patches in my t zone. My husband has professed that he will always make sure I have a tub of this on hand always. Every time I put this on he's all over me and I love it! Thank you Lush please never get rid of this amazing product!!

I adore this body lotion. I have both eczema and a gluten intolerance. I used to use Dream Cream until I realized that the rashes I always get on my legs and arms were being exacerbated by the oats in Dream Cream. I switched over to a gluten-free body butter: Sympathy for the Skin. I have not had a single rash since! I buy this in bulk so I never run out. I use it everyday and my skin is soft as ever.

This moisturizer smells like a vanilla milkshake. The banana isn't a prevalent smell, but simply adds to the sweetness. It's light and non-greasy, yet incredibly moisturizing. I dont' think I can bear to be without it.

I love this lotion so much. It is one of my favorite LUSH products ever! It smells so good!!!! It's a light smell thats not to heavy and doesn't have that weird banana smell. It makes my skin feel so great and i just LOVE IT!

My friends and I went to the store today and were shown this stuff. It's awesome! Not only does it soften your skin, but it brightens tattoos as well! They'll make tattoos that are 3 years old look like they're brand new!
I also have very sensitive skin and this stuff doesn't make me break out into a rash like most lotions do.

When I first smelled this in the container it wasn't too impressive, but I knew just b/c something doesn't smell good doesn't mean it won't work. Once I started to apply the lotion it smelled better. It moisturizes really well and leaves a pleasant scent on skin.

I am a severe diabetic, and my skin was a dry, shriveled mess. the dehydration factor meant I couldn't even get blood to test my numbers and my elbows caught on my blankets! My younger daughter lives in Pittsburgh (2 Lush stores--so unfair!) and kept asking for your products--I finally broke down & got her stuff, including sympathy for something...next month (Feb.) I ordered some for me, andd started USING it--this month my elbows are soft my skin is unwrinkled and I smell like banana custard when I cover myself in blankets--yummmy! I still have to drink lots of water to bleed, but at least I no longer feel like getting blood out of a prune! I give small samples to friends,and next week I start on my knees--DO NOT STOP MAKING THIS!!! EVER!!! Also, I love the people I speak to at your BC location--so sweet & helpful! The only thing I don't like is that I can't EAT it! Ahhhh, just as well...

There are certain smells I love from Lush and this is one of them. Reminds me of snowflake soap- almondy mixed with banana and vanilla- amazing! Transforms my hands overnight when I use before bed- heaven for my just shaved legs, so soothing on my very dry heels. Just cant get enough of it! This will continue to be on my nightstand.

This is the most wonderful body cream I have EVER used. And I've used many! I have very miserable skin that is rudy red and constantly dry. All other fregrant products break my skin out even worse! Not "Sympathy for the skin" though! It not only smells HEAVENLY but it has a silky texture that is unmatched. Lush saves the day AGAIN!

I went into Lush 3 or 4 weeks ago, and got a sample of this. First of all, I love anything that has vanilla and bananas in it, and it smells so good, unlike anything I've ever smelled. I use this product after I wash my face with Ocean Salt, I dry my face, and apply Sympathy on. OMG! It leaves it my skin softer than a baby's bottom! It glides on your face so softly. Do I need to go on? Anyways, yeah it's a bit pricy, but totally worth the money. I recomend it BIG TIME! :)

My feelings about this one are so mixed. For the first two months of use, I absolutely adored this lotion and used it post-shower every single day - it goes on lightly but absorbs deeply, it smells sweet and tropical, it healed a couple of stubbornly scaly patches within a week of use. It was FANTASTIC, and I couldn't sing its praises highly enough.

And then it went sour. I'm not sure what ingredient went bad, but oh my god, whatever it was created SUCH A STENCH. It was still an effective cream and I couldn't really afford to just throw it out, so I held my breath and finished the pot. Still took me forever, even though I was slathering it on everywhere, because a little of this goes a long way.

Seriously, I was prepared to love this lotion, but it doesn't seem to have a long shelf life. I noticed one other reviewer complaining of the same thing. I think it's great if you can use it within a couple of months, but honestly, that's not a great value for me, especially since it doesn't come in a smaller pot and it lasts so long.

I'm so disappointed. I adored this lotion when I first got it - it worked perfectly, it did everything I wanted - but the horrifying overripe banana/rotten egg smell that it developed over time was too much for me.

Dream Cream was a total wash for my eczema and scaly patches, so I did a side by side test with this and another lotion after dropping into the store, rubbing one of each on each of my red bumpy reptile elbows. A few hours later, the Sympathy elbow was visibly smoother. I went back the next day and bought a jar and my skin's never been happier. The smell is great, it's more vanilla than banana and it has some really appealing warm notes. I love it, I just wish it lasted longer!

I prefer to use this right before bed, and I love that I can. I hate the greasy, heavy feeling of most lotions, but I love putting on lotion before bed, so finding this product was wonderful. I'm able to put it on before bed without feeling all icky and like I'm sticking to my sheets. I have a little bit of eczema and redness on my arms and I can already see it getting better with just a few applications. The smell is nice without being overpowering, which is nice because that means I can wear it with perfume and it won't clash.

I was in a Lush store and about to grab my favorite lotion, Dream Cream. Instead, my friend recommended I smell Sympathy for the Skin first. I smelled it, and fell in love. I wasn't sure if I would like the moisturizing properties as much as Dream Cream's, but I loved the smell so much that I bought it. And now I'm so glad I did! It doesn't sit on top of my skin and make things hard to open, it just sinks right in and makes my hands and legs super soft. And the smell! Just like the chocolate-banana milkshakes my grandma used to make.

Quite possibly my all-time favorite LUSH product. Wow, I'm so happy I tried this. I was reluctant because I thought "bananas?! why would I want to smell like bananas?" But honestly, the smell is absolutely amazing. The banana smell is so light, and there's vanilla in there, so it just smells like this wonderful banana ice cream. I feel like a princess every time I put this on- it just glides right on and is so moisturizing. I was also afraid to try this because I was told it was heavier than Dream Cream, but I found Dream Cream to be a bit more oily and greasier than this. Overall, this product just makes you feel like royalty, it's a wonderful indulgence and perfect for dry winter skin. If you're looking for a product to spoil yourself with, BUY THIS!
