Creamy, banana custard body lotion for soft skin
Sympathy for the Skin is probably the only banana body lotion in the universe, and almost definitely the only one with real, organic mashed bananas in it. We use real bananas to moisturize and make skin softer and more flexible, even if they're a bit of a menace to mash by hand. We think you’re worth it. Incredibly soothing for dry or chapped skin, we blend in vanilla pods and vanilla extract to combat redness, lemon oil to brighten, and sandalwood to tone. Smooth our nutritious cream all over your body and go absolutely bananas.
- Does it smell like banana?: Although you might be able to pick up the scent of banana, it smells more like a vanilla and sandalwood custard.
- Nothing boring about vanilla: The sugars in vanilla retain moisture when applied topically making it a wonderful ingredient for hair, skin, and lips.
- Like a Rolling Stone: The name comes from The Rolling Stones' track 'Sympathy for the Devil.'

Q:I'm wondering if this is more moisturizing/hydrating than Dream Cream? I don't have sensitive skin, although my skin does get pretty dry during the winter. So bottom line, which one is more hydrating? Thanks!Asked on 11/11/2014 by Hannah
A:Yes, it is for skin that is in need of supreme soothing and hydrating. It has some bananas, cocoa butter and almond oil that will help with skin that may get chapped and very dry. There is also Vanilla in the formula which helps with redness, lemon oil to brighten, and sandalwood to tone.Answered on 11/13/2014 by Melissa S from LUSH Direct

A:I also have very sensitive skin, this product wasn't as effective as I was hoping, so I got Dream Cream instead and that works great!Answered on 10/28/2014 by Rachel from Minnesota
A:This is a fantastic cream for soothing the skin, and we have had lots of customers say that it helps with eczema. Dream Cream is another great option, too!Answered on 9/25/2014 by Melissa S from LUSH Direct

Q:I know everyone has been asking about the expiration date of this product and every answer has been almost a year. However, I'm still hesitant to buy because quite a few reviews have stated it has gone bad after two months. So instead of repeating something thats been asked three times already: do people who have already bought this product often call in about this product going bad early? Or did it just so happen that there were a few bunk Sympathy for the Skins floating around? In other words: has anyone who has been using this had it for longer than 2 months without the bad smell creeping in?Asked on 7/2/2013 by Nicky from NJ
A:Sympathy for the Skin has a 14 month shelf life and should not expire before this amount of time. I personally use this body lotion and have never run into an instance of it going off before the expiration date, so these reports must be isolated to one specific batch. Products are definitely better used the fresher they are, so perhaps the change of scent is due to certain scents diminishing over time.Answered on 10/4/2013 by Kendra M from LUSH Direct
A:I had my last pot for almost a year & the fragrance never deteriorated. AT the most, the smell diminished slightly. Have not had any issue.Answered on 7/18/2013 by JoyP. from Auburn, CA
Q:what is the shelf-life for this product? How long does it last? from what the reviews about this product are saying is that it is great but it also goes "bad" as in rotten really quickly.Asked on 10/2/2012 by Jessica from United States
A:Sympathy for the Skin is good for at least 14 months after the date it is made. If you ever buy a Lush product that goes bad before we state it expires, please get in touch and we'd be happy to arrange for an exchange.Answered on 10/27/2012 by Anonymous

A:My jar says it was made on 30-MAR-12 and best before 30-MAY-13. So it's probably good at least a year, but if you end up loving it as mush as i do, it will be gone long before that! Hope that helps.Answered on 5/30/2012 by AshleyOakley from The South
