Spritz directly on the face after cleansing and use a cotton pad to remove any excess cleanser. To tighten pores, let the toner air dry. Follow with the moisturizer most appropriate for your skin's needs. Facial toners also help combat the drying effects of airplane travel and air-conditioned offices. Q:I heard that tea tree oil is used for yeast infections, and so is grapefruit extract which is in this. So would this be safe to use on a yeast infection?Asked on 8/24/2014 by page
A:Oh man, I have no idea. I would talk to a doctor about using anything for a
yeast infection.Answered on 8/27/2014 by Anonymous
Q:Is this product safe to use during pregnancy?Asked on 6/12/2014 by Veronica
Q:Can I use for my back?Asked on 2/20/2014 by Zeyno from boston
A:Yes, it can absolutely be used on the back. I use it on my arms and chest as well as on my face. It helps minimize breakouts on my arms. The only thing is that the spray doesn't work upside down, so if you use it on your back, you'd probably have to bend down a little bit and then spray it over your shoulders onto your back.

Q:What is tea tree water? Is it just tea tree oil that has been diluted? And if so would it be as effective as tea tree oil in it's blemish reducing properties?Asked on 10/14/2013 by Kara Mizera from Grand Rapids, MI
A:With our Tea Tree Water Toner, it contains tea tree oil is made up of around 100 substances, including terpenes, mostly considered to be responsible for tea tree oil’s reputation as a remedy. The oil has been scientifically proven to be antibacterial, antifungal and particularly effective against the types of fungi we call yeasts.Answered on 11/28/2013 by Anonymous
Q:Can this product help to get rid of acne scars or any discolorations on the face?Asked on 6/6/2013 by Karina
A:Tea Tree Water toner contains ingredients that help brighten dull skin but would only have minimal impact fading scars or improving discoloration. Enzymion Moisturizer would be a product that would help with this.Answered on 10/2/2013 by Kendra M from LUSH Direct
A:I don't think it will help with acne scars or ANY discolorations. I think it helps with redness and blotchiness on the face caused by sensitive skin that is irritated. I feel like it helps balance and calm my skin. But time along with good skin care will fade a lot of acne scars quite a bit.Answered on 7/14/2013 by Lush Lover from Venus, Texas
Q:How often should I use this product? Twice a day? One time a week?Asked on 2/3/2013 by Kathy
A:I would say it depends on your schedule and your skin. If you wash and use the toner on your skin in the morning, then go out to work/school all day, I would say cleanse and use it again at night, too. Mainly due to all the dirt/oil/environmental factors you will pick up during the day. But if once a day works well for you, you could stick to that. The minimum use is once a day.Answered on 3/1/2013 by Stephanie from Murrieta, CA
A:I use it once a day, right after a shower to help finish clean my face. But the people at the lush store said people like to use it twice a day, once in the morning and at night; it's gentle enough to use twice a day.Answered on 3/3/2013 by Sarah from Miami, FL
A:Tea Tree Water is great to use after cleansing, as it will help to remove residual cleanser and hydrate the skin. In addition, you can use it throughout the day to help control blemishes and to refresh the skin. It is completely up to you how often you use it!Answered on 3/8/2013 by Melissa S from LUSH Direct
Q:I purchased this along with grease lightening. What should I use first?Asked on 8/11/2012 by Polly
A:We would recommend using the Tea Tree Water first, as it will help to remove any remaining oils and dirt from the skin, as well, it will take off any excess cleanser left behind. Grease Lightening is best used as a spot treatment applied to blemishes as they come up.Answered on 9/19/2012 by Melissa S from LUSH Direct
Q:Can I use this over makeup? Will it smudge or take it off?Asked on 8/10/2012 by Jess
A:You can certainly spray our toners on over makeup. Wait a couple of minutes to let it dry before touching your face and you should be fine!Answered on 10/31/2012 by Anonymous
A:I can spritz a little on my face over my makeup to keep oil in control. Hold the bottle away from your face, use only 2 or 3 sprays, and let it air dry. It won't smudge, smear, or take off makeup unless you wipe your face before it dries.Answered on 10/14/2012 by Loriam from Seattle, WA
Q:Am I supposed to use this product before applying a moisturizer or is it the other way around?Asked on 7/6/2012 by Amy from Colorado
A:We usually recommend using a toner before applying a moisturizer. Toners help remove any excess cleanser that might be left over on the skin, and they help hydrate the skin (or LUSH ones do, at any rate, as they are alcohol-free), so that you don't need as much moisturizer when you do apply it. They also have other helpful ingredients, like antimicrobial tea tree, and oil-fighting grapefruit!Answered on 7/13/2012 by Laura from LUSH
Q:Do I spray this directly on my face or use a cotton ball to apply it?Asked on 1/22/2012 by Anonymous
A:I do. You can go either way, when I spray directly i feel is too much product and I feel I am taking it off when I go over it with the cotton ball. That's just me. I like it more when I apply to a cotton ball.Answered on 6/11/2012 by 8ubble6umpink from Laredo, Tx
A:You can use it with either option- spraying on a cotton pad or ball and wiping the skin, or spritzing directly onto the face, it's up to whichever method you prefer!Answered on 1/24/2012 by Megan from LUSH
A:You can do it either way. I usually just spritz it directly on my face when I know it is completely clean and make-up free, otherwise I spray some on a cotton pad to remove any make-up that wasn't removed from cleansing and then do a small spritz to the face to add a little more goodness to my skin. Hope this helps! =)Answered on 1/24/2012 by KayDamaris from Calexico, CA
A:The directions suggest spraying it directly on your face. You can then remove excess with a cotton ball, or let it air dry to tighten pores.Answered on 1/26/2012 by Community Answer from None
A:You can really do either. I would suggest spraying it onto your face and let it sit for 3-5 minutes. If there is any excess wipe it off with a round cotton pad. (I wouldn't use a cotton ball...they don't work as well)Answered on 3/23/2012 by Brittany from San Diego, CA
A:Spray it on toilet paper or a cotton ball and then apply itAnswered on 4/2/2012 by Katie from Fort Meade, MD
A:For everyday use I spray it directly on my face and wait for it to dry. The only time I use a cotton ball is if I don't feel like washing my face before I go to the gym or something and I'll spray this on and wipe it off with a cotton ball. I think if you use a cotton ball to apply it, it wastes the product since you need a lot to dampen the cotton.Answered on 4/16/2012 by lushie from providence, ri
A:Spray it directly to your face. You can use a cotton ball to wipe off the excess, though I don't do that. I just let it all air dry. The excess just drips a little then it dries.Answered on 4/18/2012 by Andi from Sacramento
A:I spray it directly on my face, its like a fine mist and gets the best coverage of your skin.Answered on 4/18/2012 by Julia from Long Island, NY
A:I usually spray a couple of spurts onto a cotton pad before wiping it on my face but only after I wash my face with a cleanser then I apply moisturizer.Answered on 6/4/2012 by Drew the LUSH Guy from Denver, CO
Q:Does this toner help get rid of acne? I have lots of acne on my T-Zone and am looking for a miracle worker!Asked on 1/12/2012 by TBISME from Colorado
A:We have gotten lots of feedback over the years from people who have had a lot of success using the Tea Tree Toner. Give it a try and see how it works for you!Answered on 7/13/2012 by Laura from LUSH
A:If your acne is mainly from oily skin then yes it will help. Be sure to follow up with a acne cleanser. However this is more of a preventer than a remover. Hope I helped.Answered on 1/20/2012 by Robert from New York, New York
A:I believe that this product did indeed help get rid of my acne. I am taking Accutane for my acne but I don't rely on the medication alone to get rid of my acne completely. If you pair it up with the right cleanser for your skin type it will work wonders to your face! This toner did clear the blackheads on my nose and T-zone. I recommend this toner 100% so give it a go and see for yourself!Answered on 1/24/2012 by KayDamaris from Calexico, CA
A:Once I started using this I definitely think it helped with my acne. I don't think it will heal it all alone so it would need to be used with a face wash and moisturizer. But who knows each person it different. Also, I found as soon as I started using this product it drastically helped decrease oily skin.Answered on 4/16/2012 by lushie from providence, ri
