I went to my local Lush store and saw the Comforter Bubble bar and I heard so many good things about it, but I had to try it out on my own in order to buy it. It is a bit pricy, it is [$] for one bar. I was a bit skeptical because I am sensitive to smells and they come off strong to me, but when I smelled it, I was in HEAVENNNN. It smells very relaxing and sweet when mixed with water, and smells a bit like Blackcurrent/Black Berry.I bought it, as a one time thing, to try it out, and I have taken 3 baths with it since, gave a big chunk to my friend AND I still have enough for about 3-5 more baths. You honestly do NOT need to use that much, and as long as you keep swishing the water around and agitating the product you WILL get huge bubbles and froth!-I will be repurchasing this one forever. As long as I have this, My day will be better.

This bar is pretty expensive, so I wanted to get the most bang for my buck with this little bubbly wonder.
Using it was pretty easy. Instead of crumbling it under the tap, I held it under the tap so it would slowly and effectively create lots of bubbles. This method worked really well cause soon I had bubbles overflowing the edges of the tub. It also made the water a nice light pink color.
However, I did have some reservations with this bubble bar. I was in the bath, not just to relax, but to shave my legs. Each time I lifted my leg out of the water the drips from it would cause the bubbles to flatten. When I had completed by bath I hardly had any bubbles near my legs, but there were still fluffy bubbles behind my back.
The scent it quite lovely and fruity. This unfortunately doesn't transfer to the bath water very well. I'm sure if I used the whole thing it would be better, but I feel that since under the directions it says you can break it apart for separate baths, that they would put enough fragrance in the bar to make noticeable in the bath.
Bottom line: This is a good bar to use for multiple baths if you're wanting a good soak and not planning on doing more heavy duty work while in there.

This is one of my TOP favorite lush products! I personally don't have much money, so when I can get one of these, I break it into 4 pieces and use each piece for baths about 1/2 full of water. It smells AMAZING and does make a good amount of bubbles. Afterwards, my skin feels amazingly smooth especially on fresh shaven skin! This is a must have for all bath lovers!!

I loooooved this product. I only used 1/4 of it and it did such a great job bubbling up, making my whole bathroom smell wonderful, and the pink water was just the cherry on top. The bubbles last during my whole bath which is amazing since most fizzle out before Im done. Will repurchase as soon as I run out. Also love that its so big that i can get multiple uses out of it.

I bought this product because of smell and reading great reviews. Though it does dye the bath a beautiful pink, i didn't find that it lathered too much. I would try it again just in case i just got a bad batch because it does smell wonderful. I tried crumbling it under running water and moving it around in the tub to increase lather but this didn't work. Being budget conscious though probably doesn't help because i try and get the most bang out of my buck.

First of all, I absolutely love this product, but in this review I'd like to review the store, Lush.
My friend and I wandered in a few months ago, and were looking around when two female employees approached us and asked if we needed help. We were very interested, but didn't have enough money for anything (we're 13). After hearing that, they proceeded to give us a demonstration on how to use the bath bombs, told us their favorite soaps and let us sample lip gloss. They then cut us each a soap sample and we left with smiles on our faces, and a vow to return with a full wallet. The way these women treated two girls with utmost respect and kindness has made me a customer for life.
If you are an important person at Lush reading this, the employees at Tysons and Bethesda mall are doing an amazing job and deserve more thanks than you can imagine!!!

I honestly can't say enough how much I love this. I've bought at least 3 now and they are definitely worth the money. I usually cut it into a smaller piece and then crumble it under running water and it creates a pink beautiful bubble filled bath. The Comforter has such a pleasant smell, I love to use it almost everyday. It has a smell reminiscent of cotton candy. The bath water is bright pink and the bubbles are excessive! I love it. I can't say enough of how much I like it. The only reason I don't use it everyday is because I will alternate with another Lush product such as It's Raining Men Shower gel. I would highly recommend The Comforter, if you like a sweet candy smell, lots of bubbles and pink! Also the smell will last the whole day! You will not be able to stop smelling yourself!
One tip: just break off a little piece of the Comforter for a huge amount of bubbles and great smell, one Comforter can last a whole week!

I love the Comforter Bubble Bar. The bar is large, about the size of the average adult palm. I broke mine into at least 8 pieces. I have an average-sized bathtub and a an eighth of this bubble bar gives me a tub of bubbles. The water turns a pretty shade of pink and it smells lovely. Everyone describes the smell of the Comforter as the smell of Black Currants, but if you don't know what Black Currants smell like...it smells very sweet...like a berry-flavored candy. I don't notice any moisturizing effects or anything when I use this bubble bar, but again, I only use a small piece of it. I bet if you use a larger piece, you would probably notice a moisturizing effect, as you do with a lot of other Lush bath products. Love this bubble bar!

Can I just say that I took one bath with The Comforter and did not want to exit the tub. Stayed in long enough to turn my fingers to prunes. This is luxury bathing at its finest - an immersion into silky water the color of strawberry Kool-Aid and mountains of foamy bubbles. Note for those with small/builder's grade bathtubs like I have: split the bar in half; you can get two baths out of one bar.

this is the first time i've bought a bubble bar. it smells like candy to me (which is not a bad thing). i broke off 1/3 of the bar and crumbled it up under the tap and voila! tons of bubbles! the scent once the tub was full was light and pleasant & the bubbles lasted quite a while. i loved that even though it colored the water, it did not stain my tub! and once i was out of the tub, it didn't moisturize my skin but it didn't dry it out either! i haven't found anything that i don't like about it and will definitely purchase it again!

I am really frugal but it was our anniversary so my husband took me to Lush to buy a few things. I bought this bubble bar and a few more things. I was hoping I would hate everything because it is all overpriced. *sigh* I loved it! I used 1/8 of the bar with the intention of adding more but more would have been a complete waste. Bubbles were overflowing my tub. The water was a hot pink and soft.
I loved it! I am someone who takes a lot of bubble baths and I haven't found bubbles that hold up this well in a long time.
My only qualm is that it wasn't that fragrant. You had to get really close to the water to smell it. I can kind of smell it on my skin but not as much as you would think. The smell was similar to the Sweetie Pie shower jellie. I bought that too. I love the smell. I just wish it were a little stronger in both products. It may have had something to do with me using 1/8 a bar but I still wouldn't use more.
Overall, I love this product. It will be a staple in my bath drawer. I am really looking forward to trying some more Lush!

We strongly recommend not allowing the bubble bars to get into the eye area, as this will sting a lot! We advise that bubble bars should only be used by those over the age of 7. Ooh, I love using the You've Been Mangoed bath melt with the Comforter as it will make the bath smell like fruit punch!
