So I was curious about the Dish Fairy ever since I saw it highlighted this year for Mother's Day, but I never got around to ordering it. I finally happened to be in a Lush store yesterday and decided to pick one up, since now that I have a newborn I'd rather wash his bottles with something a little more natural.

My first impression when I was filling up the sink was, "my, this suds up better than I was expecting". My second impression was "...and it smells SO good too!" So I started washing my bottles and various plastics, and they cleaned excellently, and more importantly, it rinsed very cleanly. I personally hate dish soaps that make you feel like you have to rinse for 5 minutes to get it all off. I then washed a couple pots that I'd used for spaghetti, and these washed pretty well too (they were pretty gross and greasy beforehand). I will admit, however, that I have not gotten a chance to test the Dish Fairy on any seriously-difficult stuff yet, like anything baked on. I predict it won't be anything a 10 minute soak couldn't fix.

I really hate doing dishes, and there are a lot of things I still have to hand-wash despite having a dishwasher, so the Dish Fairy makes it downright pleasant, and that's all I could ask for. :)

Plus, she's super cute hanging out by the kitchen sink.

When I first started using this a year ago, I had to run back to the store and stock up since the employees told me it was limited edition. I bought three at the time and am on my second wand. You really don't need that much of it to work, which makes it last a LONG time! I am guilty of using way more than whats necessary because you can't really see the soap a whole lot when it comes off the wand, and I am not accustomed to using solid dish soap. It works better than any other dish soap I've ever used, especially for getting grease. This is one of my favorite things from Lush.

I hate washing dishes, more than any other household chore, but when I used this I almost didn't want it to end. The scent of the lemon and the gardenia is uplifting, and the occasional whiffs I got while washing the dishes made me wish I had more dishes to wash. My dishes, pots, and glasses were squeaky clean! I let the water run over the fairy to almost fill up the sink, but I also rubbed it directly on the sponge to scrub the dishes. This is a wonderful little invention that I wish would be added to the permanent line, it is all I hoped it would be. I NEED this in my life!

I cannot review this item...as i yet to receive it....but i am so grateful for LUSH's innovative lack-o-packaging. So groovy!

I was incredibly skeptical of the Dish Fairy, but I was pleasantly surprised by not only how sparkly my wine glasses and Mason jars appeared, but The Dish Fairy cuts through grease even better than the dish soap I've been using. It truly is a magical product!
