I love this. I normally can't wear a lot of perfume because it ends up being too sweet. And if it's not too sweet, generally it's just sandalwood and citrus, which gets boring after a while. This is amazing, and it's exactly what I was hoping for.

Yes it starts off minty, but it turns into a smoke scent, with a tiny bit of fresh ozone. I can see how some would get like an old barber shop sent, it tuns a bit "grandpa pipe". I do like it, but my nose does not confuse smoke with incense, this smells like a bonfire after a light rain, I do pick up on some hay as well. Good for men and women. Hang time is about 6 hours with no handwashing.

When I ordered this product, I was expecting it to smell like the earth after a rainfall - like a clay type smell; unfortunately it smelled a lot like concentrated cut grass. I'm not saying that it's that bad, it's just not for me. I found it to be very strong and overpowering. All I could smell was the grassy smell, which some people may love. It has a very mystical quality for it and makes me think of places like the cemetery after the rain.

I don't know quite how to describe this perfume... It's deep and wet and earthy and cool... The best way I think to explain this luxurious perfume is to compare it to cool winds on a blustery day. I know that doesn't make a lot of sense if you haven't smelled it, but once you do you'll know what I mean :)

This is a strange little fragrance. The top notes are a bit masculine if you're used to flowery scents, but not at all unpleasant. I do love the way it transforms as you wear it - reminds me of lovely soap from a bygone era. I think I would be most likely to wear this in the summer months, out at a picnic or some outdoor activity. It does remind me quite a bit of camping and cookouts and warm summer days.

I bought the smallest sample size - which is all you need! It is a very strong smell, so you don't need to use a lot. I dab the smallest amount on my wrists and then touch my wrists to my neck to transfer the scent. I honestly cannot think of how to describe this scent to you. I think it smells more like a cologne than a perfume, but still could be worn by both men and women. It's very earthy and smells better as the day goes on. Basically, I love this stuff.

I'm a guy, and this perfume really suits me as I was looking for a manly perfume that isn't too strong (work at a bank) and yet imposes itself when I walk around. It's very original and you can be sure people will start asking what you're using.

As a male, my only gripe is that this site doesn't tell you straight forward which scent are suitable for men, women or both genders so you have to dig up these gems

I ordered this as a sample. It smells like incense most of all, and grass. It strikes me as strongly masculine. It has unparalleled staying power.

This is a quality product however I don't like smelling like incense, so I won't order anymore of this. Just a personal preference

I ordered this as a sample about a week ago, and I am obsessed. Sooo different from any perfume I've tried, in the most amazing and unique way possible. At first, this smells exactly like grass (to me). Like freshly mowed or wet grass. So delicious. Then it sets in and fades to a more indescribable scent. I would definitely agree that it smells like a thunderstorm in reverse. First, you get the wet grass scent, then it becomes softer, like when you first smell a storm coming. The scent is not necessarily feminine or masculine, but so yummy and different. Love this scent!!!

Can't get enough of this stuff! For some reason it's been difficult for me to find a perfume that didn't give me headaches or smell awful on me. Trying out Gorilla perfumes was my last ditch attempt at maybe finding something that would work. The reviews were varied enough on the scent that I went with a sample size in case it didn't click with my body chemistry. It seems to smell different on everyone. However, it settles perfectly on my skin, and my man can't get enough either ;) It smells like a package of incense to me, and he described it as a creamy spice. Either way, once I'm out of what I have I'll be getting a larger bottle!

The description of the product on the website was enough for me to place my order. I do like the scent and it wears well (though without much "turning" on me anyway) but I'm sorry, this is straight up old school shaving cream in a can, the iconic red and white striped can. So, yes, I smell like my father did after a shave, circa 1980. But is that a bad thing?

I read up on this before I went into Lush and bought the sample pack of 8 exclusives, and let me tell you, it was the best money I've spent! Yes, at first it does smell like a warm campfirey smell, but then it changes into a nice and amazing floral scent, then into something warm and relaxing that I just can't quite place. The "campfirey" smell is truly not as bad as it sounds, it's more of a slightly smoky smell, which lends to it's charm! I carry my small sample everywhere and apply it all the time just to smell the beginning notes of the fragrace! It does change and lasts all day, but I'm SUPER ADDICTED! A must buy for anyone who likes unique smelling perfume and Lush!

I purchased this fragrance based on the reviews. I wear Karma and Dirty perfume and love them both. I was very disappointed with this recent purchase. First of all, it does not last long and secondly it smells like cigarette smoke.
Perhaps my skin chemistry is not the best.

HOLY COW! This stuff is INCREDIBLE! I bought this as a sample because I didn't want to throw too much money at this in case the scent was not for me. Every review I had read on here (as well as on FB) said that this scent was unique/strange/different, etc. Man, were they right! This has got to be one of the most divine scents I have EVER smelled! I'm not even sure that I can adequately describe this. At first, this scent is almost off-putting in a way. It's an immediate smokey mint smell. Like you are chewing spearmint gum while sitting around a campfire. Then it (quickly) transforms into this GORGEOUS, mildly sweet, creamy, sort of herbal (think soft herbal like Squeaky Green), mixed with a hay, fresh water, open sky and sun scent. I close my eyes and smell this and immediately think of laying in a damp forest with an overcast sky, reading a good book while listening to a waterfall. Sounds incredibly cheesy, yes, but it's true. I will 100% buy the atomizer of this when my sample runs out. LUSH, you hit a home run with this. A++++++++++++++

I went into Lush to get Buffy and one of the people working there asked me what types of scents I liked. I told him I liked earthy smells and as he was ringing up my purchases he dabbed a little bit of this smell onto my wrists and told me to smell it. It smelled like a campfire at first and I wasn't that impressed. He said that it was supposed to be smell like a reversed thunderstorm. I continued shopping at different stores and throughout the day, the smell started to change and it started smelling sooo gorgeous. I just had to go back and get it and it was a part of the eight gorilla perfume sample set that they had for Valentines Day. The smell is addicting. I was looking for my signature scent and I think I've found it. I'm probably going to go back to get the full size.

I really love this scent.
It is one of my faves. However it is one of the more expensive ones so I may just get the solid perfume. But it is very nice, I really like the perfumes Lush has with notes of peppermint and spearmint

This is the most unique scent I have ever experienced. I've had my first "solid" only a week and I've already ordered more!! I've become addicted to the aromas and the feelings the scent inspires - a kind of nostalgia for a life I may have lived in days of old. Imagine a rustic cabin in winter with a blazing fire going, in a time before there were cars and paved roads.....
The only drawback to the solid is that after a couple of hours the scent has almost faded away (so I just apply more).

the scent starts off really minty and then settles to a sweet hay smell, it literally smells like you're on a 3rd grade class trip to a farm to pick pumpkins or something. I thought it would smell more like tramp but it smells like Dirty and Grass if they had an old granpa. Unisex and with a sweet hay finish, it is unique and not unpleasant, ,but not my favorite lush scent (i love tramp, smargadine, aromaco and they heavier patchouli and vetiver scents). i thought it would smell dark and foresty but it smells sweet and just like being in a hay field.wouldnt buy again, but dont regret my purchase. plus i loved all the history behind it about the druid and wicca and the commentary on global warming. you should smell this for that reason alone!

If you want a simple floral or fruity smell with no surprises, this is not for you. However, it is my new favorite. I had been wanting this perfume since I saw it on the UK site almost a year ago, so as soon as I saw that it was available in the US, I bought it. I prefer the solid perfume, so I ordered a tube immediately.

I had built this perfume up in my mind for months, and yet I was not disappointed at all. In fact, my expectations were exceeded. This perfume truly changes on your skin, starting out fresh like grass and rain, morphing into something that smells to me like spearmint and sweet, wet hay, and then ending very smoky but still sweet like burning leaves in the fall. It makes me think of storm clouds rolling over a field. I know that sounds cheesy and poetic, but I made my roommate and several friends try it themselves, and they all said the same thing, or something similar, and they all loved it. They couldn't wait for it to change on their skin!

The ONLY downside was that this particular solid perfume seemed a bit prone to melting/being a bit soft. I have never had this problem with my other solids, so I am still giving 5 stars because it isn't affecting my use of the product at all and could just be because it was a warm day.

Love this scent! Actually ordered it from the UK a year ago. So glad it's available in the U.S. now. Deep, complex scent. One of Lush's best (hard to do, since they have so many!).
