I bought this on a whim, thinking I wanted to try a few massage bars out. I love the smell of this one, but my mom stole it from me (until I got her one for her birthday, of course!) She's had bad knees for years, and I mean like 15 years, and has had surgeries and all sorts of fun stuff. She goes to physical therapy and gets a deep tissue massage every other week as prescribed by her doctor. So one night while watching some reality TV show her knee was in lots of pain so I offered to rub her knee, being the awesome daughter I am. So I went and got the massage bar for the heck of it. Literally after like 20 seconds of using it she said her knee had not felt that good in years. I have no idea what is in this massage bar but my mom begged me to let her have mine, so I did until I got her her own. She said this thing is a miracle. If you have chronic joint pains I would try this out because she honestly flipped out about how wonderful this is. And of course I love it too :)

First of all, I have to say how much I want to love this. The look of the bar is very chic and cute; it also fits nicely into your hand as you use it and fits into the oval tin perfectly. That being said...

The first time I ordered this, it melted completely in transit. It was literally a liquid in a plastic bag. Wanting to try it again, I purchased it in a local store. I wasn't thrilled with the smell, but thought I would take it home and see what it smelled like away from the other competing scents. It still wasn't exciting. I put it on for the first time and the smell was something like chocolate, peppermint, and burning latex. I did this right before bedtime and it not only "stained" my sheets with a greasy residue, but by morning, the smell was something of rotting autumn leaves.

Again, I really want to love this. Honestly. I love the idea of a solid moisturizer and for the most part, the bar was exceptionally moisturizing. (Aside from the slow absorption and oily residue left on the skin) I hear that it used to smell better; I could handle the excessive oil if the smell was not so odd. I am trying to finish it seeing as I spent 12ish dollars on it- thankfully, it does go pretty fast!

    Comments about LUSH Therapy:

I recently started working at Lush for the holiday season, and while I love, love, LOVE, being there, I often feel a little overwhelmed and a bit happy-stressed after a long, busy shift.

Today, when things were a bit slow, I slapped some Therapy onto my hands and arms and I feel sooo calm and uplifted. The neroli and lavender and a perfect, balancing combination.

This would be great for anyone with a high stress job and I'm sure mom's would greatly benefit from this.

    Comments about LUSH Therapy:

I ordered this product on a recommendation to help with stretch marks....I am pregnant and want to be pro-active and start using a good product before the problem begins. The bar was a little greasy but had a wonderful smell, contrary to what other reviewers mentioned (I'm not into sickly floral or too perfumey smells, and like earthy smells like rosemary and lavender). I really loved the way my skin felt afterwards. My complaint is that the bar didn't last very long.

A massage bar with Neroli and Lavender oils. Extremely therapeutic and a great tool for relaxation, stress, anxiety, STRETCHMARKS, and insomnia. I'm almost half done with my first bar and my stretchmarks are less visible and my skin feels tighter and looks nice and dewy.

      Comments about LUSH Therapy:

I bought this product as an alternative to Tiny Hands. I own and use Tiny Hands but find it impossible greasy and non-absorbing for use during the day. When I visited my local Lush, I decided to try out some of their other massage bars to see if the same was true there as well.

It was not. I love this bar and it has replaced Tiny Hands as my carry-around lotion bar. I am both a teacher and a knitter. For teaching, I work with chalk all day long and my hands are really dry afterwards. I need something that will moisturize my hands, but not leave greasy residue for an hour after application. Definitely fits the bill! As a knitter, wool sucks the moisture out of my fingers and this bar is perfect for softening the edges while still allowing me to hold the needles. I am in love!

I will say, in regards to the scent, I do not find this chocolatey AT ALL like people are commenting. Mostly it has citrusy notes, but there is the noticeable addition of lavendar underneath it all. Personally, I LOVE it. And my sister, who is not in any way a fan of lavendar, says she loves the smell as well. However, if you are sensitive to citrus scents, I would stay away.

      Comments about LUSH Therapy:

I don't have a SO so I have to use my Lush massage bars solo. That's okay with me because they're wonderful moisturizers. I use Therapy on days when my skin needs a little something more than just lotion. I rub my hands on the bar to warm it up and soften it, then glide my hands over my arms, legs, feet, and neck (it feels so good there!) for some rich moisture. Yes, it is a little messy and the oils are thick so I make sure I'm wearing either a bath towel or my pajamas when I do this. But the oils quickly sink in and leave me with baby soft skin. The smell is amazing - I get chocolate and orange with a hint of lavender. I'm also amazed at how long one bar lasts using it in this way. I've had my Therapy bar for a long time and I've still only managed to use half of it. This is a great treat if you have dry skin or just want a nice pick-me-up for your everyday routine.

      Comments about LUSH Therapy:

It truly is a form of therapy. As a stressful mother of twins and a hyper active daughter under the age of 5 my day is very hectic. After my shower I rub this all over, not only is it moisturizing but it smells wonderful and its really really relaxing I mean I can't stress that enough. Some days where its just to much I pull it out of my Lush Tin and smell it to just calm me down. I suffer from bad migraines and I'm not a fan of medications so I rub this on my forehead and the back of my neck and I lay down, it makes relaxing much more relaxing and easier.I also have really dry skin in the winter my hands get extremely dry. I also have really dry chapped, elbows, knees, and ankles. I tried so many lotions in the past but nothing worked when I first got to Lush I decided to try it now I see and feel a major improvement for once my elbows don't hurt any more they are not cracked nor are they dark like before as for my knees and ankles. Its easy to apply, I rub it on my skin then I massage it in it feels great and absorbs well not greasy at all.It makes my skin feel so smooth and the all natural smell is long lasting. Highly recommended for those stressful days and dry skin.

      Comments about LUSH Therapy:

This product is a must have. It smells like chocolate and perfume and sweet treats with a hint of orange. I want to taste it! I personally shave in the shower first, then dry off a little, but apply directly after on my legs. I sometimes buff my legs with my towel after so that my legs aren't too slick or greasy after. DON'T use it in the morning or day, or it will get on your clothing, etc. Best after your day is done.
I have seen an improvement in my stretch marks as well. I'm only 19 but I have some on my inner thigh from losing weight and it has made them more subtle and alleviated some of the pinkish color.
This product would be great on your feet, chest, and backside too!

I love this bar! It helps with my stretch marks. I have two kids that I love but they left me with war wounds lol This bar really helps to smooth out these lines and helps to tone down the lines. I recommend for people to buy the metal tin to put it in so that it does not melt. I bought a bar once and went to visit someone and forgot it in the car and I came back my bar melted :( So if you buy it and its hot out don't stop anywhere go striaght home or buy a tin. But it is a great bar to help with stretch marks and helps to keep your skin moist and its best to use it after you get out the shower and before you go the bed at night. Your skin will feel so soft well mine does I hope it does the same for others.

I use the therapy bar as an everyday moisturizer after the shower on my arms, hands, and legs. I LOVE the scent (other people don't smell it; it's not stongly perfumed), and it's very gentle. I can even apply it to my legs immediately after shaving, which is unusual since my skin is sensitive. I have been using it daily for months, and I still have about 1/3 bar left! One day, recently, I actually tried it for what it was intended - massage (on my sore little quads), and (no surprise) it was AMAZING. What a great little product!! I'm hooked.

I have been using this bar for about a month now, in the morning and at night, on my "badges of honor" otherwise known as stretch marks. I can honestly say that this bar as definitely helped lighten them!

For the amount of time I have been using this bar I am surprised at how long it is lasting (not even to the first little divot yet!). Of course I am not using it as an all over body moisturizer, I am just using it on my lower belly. So I would say if you just need something to help lighten stretch marks or other scars this bar will probably last a long time for you.

The bar does not smell the greatest, but it's not so bad that it causes me to not want to use it any more. It's not entirely unpleasant and shouldn't be a reason to not try it out.

The store clerk recommended it for an ugly scar I got from surgery. I was reluctant but figured, why not? My scar was very dark but within days of using therapy it started fading! I actually like the smell and I am very sensitive to unpleasant scents. Although I must say, I only use it on my scar which is on my lower abdomen so maybe the smell would bother me if I used it all over. I would definitely recommend this for scars - its cheaper than mederma and lasts longer.

I got this because it was "rumored" to clear up stretch marks. I have tried everything under the sun for stretch marks and NOTHING worked. So I reluctantly gave therapy a go. It was no expensive and if it did not clear up the stretch marks then oh well at least it was a great moisturizer. Well I am a skeptic no more!! After 3 days...go back and read that people 3 DAYS the redness is ALREADY dramatically fading! I could not believe my eyes so I brought my husband in for a second opinion and he said agreed and was surprised that after only a couple days they were so much improved. I am now recommending this to all my mommy friends! THANK YOU SO MUCH LUSH!!!!

I have a lot of issues with scarring on my arms and legs from picking at them, so when I expressed that I was looking for something to help with that at one of my first visits to lush, one of the sales associates suggested the therapy. At first I hated the smell, but it grew on me. And it's extremely effective; my scars are fading and it leaves my skin extremely soft. However, it takes a while to soak in. It leaves me greasy for a while. So what I've done is either put it on when I'm hanging out around the house or between showering and bedtime when I have time to just chill in my towel and let it sink in for a half hour or so.

This massage bar was recommended for stretch marks (cocoa butter, just like your momma told ya). Well, I don't have stretch marks! I can't say whether it was Lush or luck, but why risk it? It's smells like chocolate covered oranges. It gets old to preggers lathering in it twice a day. It lasted well beyond my pregnancy. I totally can't stand the smell now, but it really made my skin feel more comfortable.

I suffer from psoriasis & I find that besides the obvious benifits of a good massage, using this bar a few times a week really helps calm my skin! It's a keeper! The strange thing though is I find some bars to smell more of citrus (wich I don't like), while others smell more of white chocolate -YUM!

                    Comments about LUSH Therapy:

This is a pretty good massage bar, but not my favourite.

I use this after I get out of the shower: Lightly pat myself dry with a towel (skin is still a bit damp), warm up the bar with my hands, and smooth the bar all over my body.

I find that this bar doesn't smooth over my skin as easily as the "Each Peach (And Two's a Pair)" massage bar, and the smell is not really my cup of tea. Kind of smells like rotten chocolate mixed with vanilla but it's tolerable.

I'd recommend this product, but I'd make sure you smell the product in store before buying this!

                    Comments about LUSH Therapy:

I have battled dry skin my entire life. Winter and pregnancy combined have resulted in some really bad dry skin this year. Therapy massage bar has helped solve that problem!

This massage bar smells amazing. Of course, smell is all very subjective. I have a very sensitive nose though and this bar smells awesome to me. It smells like cocoa butter and chocolate. I love using this after work and before I get into jammies. I start off rubbing it on my stomach which is a nice warm spot to get the bar warmed up. Once it is warmed I rub it on any problem areas like dry elbows or dry patches on arms and legs. Then for good measure I like to use it on my neck and chest to enjoy the smell the rest of the night. I spend a few minutes making sure to rub it in really well and wear loose clothing so my skin gets the biggest benefit. A little of this bar will go a long way. I bought my bar months ago and still have it (though I don't use it every day, it does get used several times a week).

I think the best part of this bar is how warmed and soft my skin feels for ages afterwards. Yes, it leaves a cocoa buttery residue on your skin, but it isn't uncomfortable. I use this bar in the morning on my arms and neck/chest sometimes but don't feel uncomfortable because of the residue at all, and get to enjoy the scent and warmed feeling all day. This bar is now a staple in my skin care arsenal!

It turns out that this is also awesome for tattoo aftercare. I've been using it 4-5 times per day starting about 12 hours after getting my tat and on day 4 I have no redness, no scabbing, no itchiness and zero irritation. I've also had great success with healing sunburns which is what led me to try it for tattoos.

                          Comments about LUSH Therapy:

I'll admit, I purchased this impulsively based solely on all of the rave reviews on the internet (which is never the best idea).

I'll start off with the positive: everything about this product FEELS really good - it fits well in my hand, applies beautifully, and feels luxurious as I'm rubbing it into my skin. It also gives a gorgeous sheen. I could see how some people would find it greasy, but for my fairly dry skin, it's a treat.

Now for the bad news: the smell is just odd. I don't hate it, but I definitely wouldn't want to smell it, or smell like it, all day long. The dominant smell is cocoa butter, an aroma I have never really cared for (making this an unwise purchase, being as cocoa butter is the main ingredient). But I could tolerate that if it weren't for the sharp, herbaceous, mild citrusy tang in the background, which is extracted further once you apply the product to your skin. That herbal smell itself is relaxing, but somewhat sickening and headache-inducing mixed with the essence of cocoa butter. There is no peppermint oil in this product, and yet, it still seems to tingle the back of my nose, but in an abrasive, unpleasant way. I can understand another reviewer's comment about this smelling faintly of burning latex. For me, as with the Honey Trap Lip Balm, it's one of those perplexing aromas that simultaneously grows on me and sickens me more as time goes on. I will not be repurchasing this.

Therapy won't remove stretch marks, but it may help to fade or make them less visible over time, as it can encourage the skin's natural healing processes.

The girl at LUSH explained to me that every 4 babies is born with an outie belly button, so the 4 dots represent 4 belly buttons and the one sticking out is an outie. I was pregnant when I walked into the store so maybe she was a quick thinker...but hey...the answer worked! I bought the bar:).

I believe Lush adds some unique elements to the bars to help identify which is which. Some have a flower pattern, or unique design, Therapy has some holes and a dot! If there is a reason beyond that, I'm not sure, but I think making the massage bars look unique is at least part of the reason.
