I love the smell of this so much. I got a sample of this just to try it out and I think I may have to buy a chunk of it. I did find that I had to double wash my hair when I used this... but that could also be because it was a small piece since it was a sample. Other than that I found that it made my hair really soft, and of course it smelled amazing.

Usually, i'm not a type of review writer, but for Trichomania, I WILL.
First of all, i have thick, curly and jet black hair and kind of medium scalp(not that dry or oily).
i got it as a one of samples when i bought quite many things at my local Lush store. And i decided to buy it after using my sample. After using this product, i felt difference directly. my hair felt like baby's and seemed glossy and well treated. And my friend noticed this difference!! Usually, i need meticulous styling to treat my punk hair, but this shampoo totally save my effort. Plus with sweet smell!! not cloying, transparently.
And now, i've been using it for a month, i still like how my hair feels and seems like.
I totally recommend it!!!

I have been growing out my hair for some time now, it reaches my lower back. I have a lot of hair and it's a bit hard to maintain. I flat ironed and curled my hair constantly, but have started to go all natural for the last couple of months. Trichomania has helped my hair regain some of its natural structure bringing back some of my natural waves and ringlets. My scalp has also improved because of Trichomanias moisturizing properties,my dandruff has significantly decreased.

I've basically switched over almost exclusively to this shampoo! I love this shampoo, it smells great and is quite gentle. I swear it has saved the ends of my hair.
The reason why I say I've almost entirely switched over to this shampoo, is that I sometimes find that this shampoo is a little harsh on my scalp and I find myself having a tiny bit of dandruff --which is not awesome. When I find myself having this problem I use a different shampoo.
If your hair is keratin treated DO NOT USE THIS SHAMPOO, it contains sulfates that will strip the treatment right out of your hair!
Also, this shampoo is AWESOME for travelling, not only is it a shampoo, it's also quite moisturizing --it's like a two-in-one shampoo!

This solid shampoo was recommended to me by the helpful Lush employee at my local store. I have fine and curly hair which can get dry and frizzy looking. I tried Trichomania, like she said, rub it in my hands a few times to work up a good lather. I was really surprised by how well it cleaned my hair. My hair can get greasy and sometimes oraganic shampoos don't do too much to actually clean my hair. This felt very clean and lathered nicely. I was really impressed with how soft my hair was afterwards! And it stays curly too. I think I have found my go to shampoo. I used it with the American Cream conditioner and it feels great. I had tried a sample of Curly Wurly, but for me Trichomania worked better.

I got a small sample of this stuff and I was so excited to try it out. It was my first experience with solid shampoo so the only things i knew were what I had read about them. I tried it out and it was alright. the smell was great, creamy and not overbearing. It lathered better than I thought it would, but the feel of my hair wasn't that great when getting out of the shower. I dried my hair and it turned out surprisingly alright. Actually pretty soft, but fly-aways were an issue. I tried it again the next day just to see how it'd do, it's definitely not as nice as yesterday. This stuff makes my hair tangly and dry, but later my hair feels slightly greasy, it's very strange. i don't think i'd get it again.

I LOVE LUSH!! This product is great too. It smells wonderful-like fresh coconuts and I love how it's in a bar form! It lasts so long, I'm barely halfway through with this (using it daily) and have had it for over 4 months. It was a little pricy, more than your average drugstore product but it lasts way longer, smells way better, and really mosturizes your hair! BUT, the only problem I have with this shampoo is that at first, it made my hair silky, and great smelling. I'm not sure if it's one of those product's that helps you so much at first, then wears off as your body gets used to it, but it's not really working for me anymore. It makes my hair feel wierd in the shower- dry almost, lathers badly, and when I get out of the shower, my hair is tangled but when I brush it through, it is soft but does not make it shiny. I still adore this product- great smell, silky soft, and lasts forever, but I wish I would've sampled this before trying! Next time, I'm planning on trying Curly Wurly so I can still have the great coconut smell, but a little more designed for me!

I just love this product. I bought it with Godiva as one of my first solid shampoos. I find that Trichomania is very creamy and super moisturizing. I use Godiva (which is also very moisturizing) in my roots and lather it to the nape of my neck and use Trichomania on the rest of my hair and the ends. It lathers okay, like a light conditioner with a few suds.(I like to lather it in my hand first.) My hair is pretty long and oily in the roots and dry at the ends, so I find that this shampoo bar works best as a CONDITIONER. And it has alot more product that jungle for your buck! When I used it all over my hair I found that it was just too greasy and I had to wash my hair the next day with Godiva, and I usually wash it every other day. And I just cut off a little chunk and I've been using it for a month and It hasn't melted much. So I still have a whole bar! And just to prove how much I love it...I ordered another with Ultimate Shine so I could stock up! And it's made my hair SO much healthier, shinier, and soft! I find it works best as a conditioner.

I LOVE this shampoo! It was perfect when I had short hair, and was the perfect amount of hydrating coconut goodness. I think the scent is divine, and it was too easy to swipe it across my mop a few times and lather up! My hair dried soft, luxurious, and felt so light and wonderful, not weighed down and heavy and full of garbage like it can after shampooing with conventional formulas. If you have damaged, dry, or curly hair, give this thing a go.

I use this product every other day. At first I was skeptical about the smell, but now I love it! I have very short, curly, dry hair and it has really added softness to my hair while still cleaning effectivly.

I was completely skeptical about solid shampoos and also partly convinced running one down my head would rip my hair out... Needless to say, I have revised my opinion! I still haven't tried just smearing the bar down my hair, so I can't speak to whether that will instantly make you bald or not, but rubbing it on your hands is great! The lady in the store showed me how she got both her hands and the bar wet, then smooshed it around in her hands until she had a pretty decent amount (think a little too much lotion for both of your hands), and then you put that in your hair.

I suspect the people who aren't getting a good lather aren't doing this first step or aren't getting quite enough product on their hands before putting it in their hair. (Either that or something is wrong with their water and it doesn't encourage lathering of any sort.) It probably doesn't lather well if you don't do the hand smooshing first and just try rubbing the bar on your head. But the way I do it, I'm getting more of a delicious, creamy lather than with other shampoos I've used.

It smells like God, if God were made of coconut, and it actually feels more nourishing and better for my hair than the conditioner. Go figure. Buy this stuff!

I was never a big fan of coconut, but I always heard that it was the best for curly, dry, and unmanagably frizzy hair like mine. I've tried several products to no avail. I decided to give Trichomania a whirl, and the next morning, my hair has its glorious bouncy curls back again with minimal to no frizz! I was so excited, because it was the first time ever that I only needed a small amount! I pray to GOD they come out with a solid conditioner similar to this one!

This shampoo is not very good - when I started using it I noticed that my hair felt more dry and looked frizzier, even while using the Jungle solid conditioner. I would not use it again.

I wish I knew about this product a long time ago. I love the way it makes my hair feel and I just bought it. I'm not sure if I'm sold on the scent but I don't think it smells bad, I just wish it smelled coconuttier. It's a little flaky but that's not a huge issue either since my extremely finicky hair seems to have found a shampoo that it likes. Normally I have coax it into behaving with leave in conditioner and other products and when that doesn't work, I call in the big guns, flat irons and braids. But Trichomania seems to have tamed it, my hair feels healthier, my curls are curlier, and I am happier. Curly haired folk need not suffer frizz and unruly hair anymore. AND it conveniently slips past TSA as an inconspicuous bar of soap, little do they know it's shampoo and over regulation.

I have a 4 year old son, Toby, who is autistic. Every single day since he was born in Jan 2008 we have had a tantrum at bath time. Every SINGLE day, bloody screaming like I'm murdering him when I wash his hair. He can't handle the liquid feeling on his scalp or something. It's awful. But his hair is super curly and very fine and it needs to be washed daily or it gets matted.

So I popped into the Salt Lake City LUSH store the other day and asked for a sample of the best solid shampoo for fine, curly hair. This is what I was given. It has lasted for almost 3 weeks for a relatively small sample size, which is amazing. My son has shorter hair, but still, for getting it wet daily it hasn't melted at all.

Toby's hair is clean and beautiful. It curls up fantastically and his reddish gold hair color has brightened up vividly.

Thank you so much LUSH. You have saved my days. No more do we have daily bath time tantrums. For the last 5 days, Toby has actually ASKED for me to wash his hair. You have no idea the change this is. I could cry of happiness.

The only problem is that I think Trichomania smells like death. It is reminiscent of coconut creme pie...rotten coconut creme pie. It makes me gag when I smell it. So I am going to try a different scent. But dear heavens, LUSH, thank you for making solid shampoos. I only wish I had figured this out 4 years ago.

I washed my hair with this shampoo about a few days ago, and it really made my hair soft! My hair type is coarse and I usually put a relaxer in my hair so I can put a comb through it ;)! And this shampoo really makes my hair feel clean and smells great! Love it!

I am in love not only does this clean very very well but it smells heavenly the smell alone is relaxing. It is really creamy which is something I love its gentle and my hair feels so soft even before I condition it. You have to try it, its a must have for me Thanks Lush!

I LOVE TRICH!!!! :) It smells heavenly, and adds so much moisture to my hair. It's so very healthy. I even use it along with Big for volume and they are a mean combo! <3 this stuff!!! I want to shower multiple times a day because I love the smell so much lol.

There is nothing more to say about this product, except that its absolutely perfect. I rubbed it over every inch of my hair, and worked it into a lather. Rinsed. Left behind is always super soft, super clean, delicious hair. When my hair dries, it feels light weight, clean, soft... just perfect!

Trichomania is an amazing shampoo from LUSH that keeps a lasting coconut smell in your hair all day long! I keep it in a soap dish covered in plastic wrap, then put a layer of plastic wrap over it. It sounds like a hassle, but is actually very easy to preserve this product for a long time. It washes the grease right out of my hair at leaves it shiny and silky smooth! A lot of people say it doesn't lather well, but it really just depends on how you lather it. I got a large mound of this shampoo, and when I got home, I cut it into more of a round, bar-soap shape and just lathered it like I would with regular soap. I've had this product for over two months and even using it for every-day use, haven't used half of it yet! Overall a great product that I will certainly purchase again!
