I'm African American and I've sworn off chemical relaxers because the are just way to damaging! I've been all natural for a year in a half and during that time I've tried a TON of products to add shine to my dull hair and nothing worked but the this! It brought out the natural curl pattern of my hair and leaves my hair with a tasty smell! I love this and will never use anything else!

I have mixed feelings about this product. I love LUSH solid shampoo, but this one didn't quite do it for me. When I first got it, it smelled wonderful - like creamy coconut. But the longer it sat in my shower in its tin, the weirder it smelled. It's like it "turned" or something - in the end I just threw it away because it smelled gross.
It made my hair tangled, and it was hard to brush. When it was wet, my hair felt dry and brittle. However, by the end of the day, my hair was greasy. So basically, it just didn't work for me, but there are lots of other great LUSH solid shampoos to turn to!

I got this product simply because I wanted to try something new for my hair. I have very dry puffy curls and a lot of them so its difficult to style sometimes. I used this on my hair shaft and tips and Seanik on my roots. Seanik lathers really well so I felt it might get my scalp a bit cleaner. I think the only negative I can say about this is the lather.. It's a bit more creamy and lotion-y instead of a rich soapy lather. Anyway my hair dried very shiny, SOFT, and my curls looked so pretty and smooth. I love this product. Definitely buying again.

Best deal for shampoo, and it works great. You don't need a massive lather for it to work. I used to have greasy hair and now I wash my hair every other day. My scalp is balanced and doesn't get flaky/greasy when using this product. My hair is also coloured, and it doesn't strip it.
Great smell but not overpowering, it fades pretty quickly but that's how I like it. I use it with American Cream so thats the scent that lingers.

I have curly, frizzy and dull hair. For years I never wore it down... it was always up in a bun. I was given this as a sample in Denver CO and now I am never going back. My hair is soft and bouncy like never before. It actually looks like those hair commercials. I feel like a total fan girl for this. The only thing that some people may not like about this product is the fact that it doesn't lather all that well. I am used to it since I have tried going "no-poo" many times. I have hair that cannot dedcide if it wants to be curly or wavy. This was my first time using this shampoo and I love it already! I dye my hair alot and this lathered well, better than i expected. The smell was minimal, good for those with allergies! I washed my third day hair that had alot of styling product in it that was totally greasy and this cleaned it! I was skeptical about this when I visited the Lush store, but the saleswoman was patient with me and suggested I just try it, and at worst I had spent a bit more on shampoo than I normally do. I have not looked back!
It doesn't have as much of a soapy lather as other liquid shampoos (which, curly girls and guys, is a good thing for your hair!) but it still gets my hair and scalp clean and gets rid of the frizzy freak out my hair usually goes through after a shampoo with a liquid.
The smell is great, and not to overpowering (but people do notice the smell, but I always get compliments so it hasn't been negative).
Some have said it isn't long lasting-- take it out of the shower after you use it-- if you leave it in a soap dish it will turn gooey! In fact, I break off smaller pieces and use the little chunks, then store it in a teacup saucer in the bathroom (outside the tub/ shower!) so it can dry and not get gross. About half a bar has lasted me since October, and that's with 3-4 shampoos a week.

I was so excited to use this. It is the first Lush product I have tried and the first solid shampoo I have used. I used just as directed and thought it lathered rather well. I have thick hair and was worried that it wouldn't spread through my hair but I was wrong, it was great. It left my hair super clean but moisturized at the same time. It smells like coconut but it is a very soft scent. I could only smell my American Cream conditioner after my hair was dry which was fine with me because I love the scent. This left my hair so moisturized but yet full of body. My hair is dry and damaged but this left it in the best condition.This also made my scalp so soothed. The only thing is that my roots are oily the next day which is too bad because I like washing my hair every other day. I think this bar will last a while too but can't say for sure since I have only used this for a week. I usually like waiting longer to write a review but I just couldn't wait to write this one. But other than that this stuff is just great and I highly recommend it but am also looking forward to what else Lush has to offer.

I had been using curly wurly and retread before switching to this shampoo. An employee gave me a sample to try because I was getting knots and was not happy about that. I tried it and immediately bought a bar of it. I still use retread and then put r&b on my hair and my hair has never looked better. It has volume, its soft, and my curls look fantastic. Since I have very thick hair, I only wash my hair every other day and it doesn't get greasy like some other curly shampoos do.

I had been using other well known products on my quite curly hair for a while, and they had done a number on it. My hair felt dry and kinda gross. I had finished those products before I had bought new ones and remembered I had been given a sample of the Trichomania dry shampoo, so snatched it up. I was very pleased with it! I may not have had such a strong reaction if I hadn't been using products I pretty much hated, but this stuff straightened out my poor abused hair. It left it clean, but not dry. It smelled great and lathered well and I was surprised how little I need to use to produce those results. My hair looked shiny and moisturized and I'm very pleased. There's a good chance I'll be grabbing a bar of this once my sample runs out. Thanks LUSH! My hair thanks you too!

I love the smell of this so much. I got a sample of this just to try it out and I think I may have to buy a chunk of it. I did find that I had to double wash my hair when I used this... but that could also be because it was a small piece since it was a sample. Other than that I found that it made my hair really soft, and of course it smelled amazing.

Trichomania would be perfect for you! I've got some pretty fluffy coarse hair for a caucasian girl, but this stuff works miracles. It's not super greasy like a lot of smoothing products are, so you don't need to worry about that. I think that you should give it a try. Everyone has different hair types, like curly/straight, but there are other factors to consider. Like you have thick hair, but is it oily, or dry? Trich works best for normal-dry hair. And the smell is wonderful (natural coconut). It has a creamy lather, too. And it is MUCH more gentle than over the counter shampoo. My hair is curly, but the hairs are fine in some places and thicker in others. The thing is, my hair is VERY DRY and when my hair is semi-dry, this is pretty good. (I can't use this though, when my hair is driest). So, If you are not too oily or too dry, then this will probably please you (If you like the smell of coconuts). This works great w/ American Cream, just to add :)

The coconut in this shampoo is INCREDIBLY moisturizing as it penetrates into the core of the hair shaft. I'd definitely give this product a try as the coconut will moisturize your hair and help to weigh it down a bit. My best friend has straight thick hair and she also uses this one and adores it. This product is not officially designated as color-safe, but because of the extremely gentle ingredients, many people who have color treated their hair have used it and had a lot of success with it. I got a small chunk, roughly an inch thick, an inch wide, and 1.5 inches long, and it lasted me almost a month on my short hair (and that's after working up a great lather).
