This is a great everyday solid. It is so gentle (something I look for in a shampoo), but also leaves my hair feeling thoroughly cleaned. My hair is soft and shiny after using Ultimate Shine. I don't smell anything while using it, which I don't mind (it's better than smelling bad!). I love this shampoo because it is dependable-- I know I can use it for a good clean and not be afraid of drying out my hair. I'd say it's pretty moisturizing! It has a good lather... I can't think of any cons! Unlike some of the other shampoos that have heterogenous pieces throughout, Ultimate Shine is just one solid bar that stays intact and lasts and lasts. I don't know why it's not more popular.

I love the idea of a solid shampoo, but this was probably not the right one for my hair type. While it may work for someone with dry or thicker hair, it left mine very flat and greasy looking. Also, after a bit of time it molded and congealed into the metal shampoo case, which made it impossible to use.

This is another great staple in the shower - it works really well (lathers, cleans, isn't too harsh) on my oily scalp/chin length hair. I loved the scent in the beginning but since these last so long I got sick of it after a while. I personally liked the longevity of Jumping Juniper more, if I had to pick a basic solid shampoo bar!

Well, when i first took it out, it smeled REALLY strong. It felt really good and latered well, but when I felt my hair to rinse it out, wow did my hair squeak and feel matted and greasy. It better not feel like this when it dries. Other than that, great product!

My hair tends to be more on the dull side. So when I went into my local Lush store and asked for recommendations the sales associate pushed me in the direction of this amazing product. I was hesitant at first because I have never used a bar shampoo before but now that I have I love it! It gives my hair a great shine and keeps my hair extremely soft! The smell isn't great but for the result it is well worth it.

Before I got this shampoo bar for christmas in a gift box, I walked right past this bar in the store and never would of thought about buying it. Boy am I thankful that this shampoo bar was included in my gift. It's a plain white bar, not so special, flecks of gold glitter through out it. The scent smells of Vaseline, but then I learned that it is full of violet and from there on anytime I smelt it, it smelled like a grassy fresh flower. I use this shampoo every time I wash my hair. It has helped sort out my scalp and made my hair extremely strong! Before I used this shampoo if you tugged on a strand of my hair it would break, but now it is like an elastic! It barely breaks off anymore. My hair has never been this shiny and healthy before. My favorite shampoo bar. Don't knock it 'til you've tried it!

I am so bummed because I was ecstatic to try this. In the shower ran two swipes over my hair and a little water must of dripped down because all of a sudden I had the most intense sharp, burning feeling in my eye! Seriously felt like a little razor blade was stuck in the corner of my eye. I don't have sensitive eyes and have never had this problem before. I'm just so surprised but I'll have to just keep my head tilted way back next time. Maybe it's just me, but thought I should share in case someone actually has sensitive eyes.

Its pretty rough, but maybe that's just because I didn't use a conditioner with it, I'm going to have to find one! I had hopped it would be more glittery (to be honest that's why i bought it!)I saw some flecks of sparkle in the bar but that was about it. after the rinse out and the blow dry nothing. so there are my complaints..

but! I DO LOVE that it left my hair very clean. it lathered nicely and the smell is pleasant. I did buy it for the sparkle, which left me longing for more so next time I will get a moisturizing shampoo bar. I love the product!

This is by far the best shampoo I have ever used!
I bought it a little suspiciously, as I thought solid shampoo would never lather up, and would only last a week or so. But I was looking for a product that would get my hair really clean, and one of the employees recommended this to me. Boy, am I glad she did! My hair feels amazing every time I use this and it makes my waves shiny, plus it smells gorgeous! Pair this with American Cream conditioner, and you have a winner!

This is definitely a minimalist shampoo; it is small, easy to travel with, and has hardly any fragrance. It lathers well, and doesn't leave a conditioned feel, but once hair is dry – it is soft, smooth, and shining. This is the only shampoo I have used since I bought it, and I've been using the same bar for 9 months and am just now buying a new one. The only tricky thing is remembering to stand the bar up carefully so that it dries after each use, otherwise it becomes soggy and looses its shape.

This shampoo bar is quite amazing, it smells fanTASTIC, it does make my hair quite shiny/soft, it also helps cut down some of my frizz. The only thing that I'm not amazingly pleased with is that after your hair dries, your scalp will feel itchy until it produces just enough oil for it to stop itching (usually within 5 hours for me). There have been times with this shampoo that I've gone out without washing my hair in any way for 3, rarely 4, days and my hair will still look like I washed it that day or at most, the night before. This shampoo is great, I would recommend it to more of my friends except that we live so far away from the nearest LUSH Cosmetics store );

I love love love love LUSH's soild shampoos. my hair is SO oily that by the end of the day my hair looks greasy and gross. Not anymore! I use this and jumping Juniper ( I prefer this one though) and my hair has never been happier. for two weeeks i didn't even need a leave in!! now that this product has rid my hair of all build up, i throw a little R&B in my hair and it's beyond perfect.one of the most annoying things about other (non lush) shampoos is, they take forever to rinse out! i used to spend at least ten minutes to rinse my hair and it still felt like stuff was left over.this rinses RIGHT OUT!!!! its amazing! little tip though! Keep it on it's side in the tin! not flat on the bottom (eliminates that annoying banging the tin on everything to get the soap out.)Love love love

This bar has a wonderful smell. It dried the blank out of my hair, though. I used this in summertime, and it made my hair tangle a fair amount, and it also made my normally straight hair pouffy.

I want to try it again now that I have dreadlocks, because I think it would help lock up my hair.

If you use this, I recommend a good, heavy detangling conditioner.

At first, I was a little weirded out by the idea of rubbing a bar of soap on my head. I also thought it was a little pricey for the size of the bar. However...it lasts a couple of months, even with near-daily use, and it leaves my oily, thick hair shiny and soft (even without using conditioner). I seriously love this shampoo. I tried one of the other solid shampoos (it was green) and it had a texture like those "jimmies" sprinkles and caught in my long hair. This has a smooth texture and does not do that.

I think this product was effective at making my hair shiny, and it also cleaned effectively. I always felt like my hair was fresh.

There isn't too much of a smell to it, if I had to describe it I would say floral-y? This bar definitely lasts a loooong time, it took me probably 4 months to get most of it used (not using it everyday, but still.)

I purchased this in September, and around November I started noticing some scalp problems. I've never had a dry or itchy scalp in my life so I'm assuming it had to do with this bar, or a combination of this and the onset of winter. I'm guessing the shimmer stuff is responsible.

I recently dyed my hair black and was hoping for a shampoo to add a bit of shine to the dark mass which is now my hair. Unfortunately, this shampoo just seemed to dry my hair out and made it feel like matted hay! I feel like this shampoo would be wonderful for people with really oily hair, unfortunately I am not one of those people. If you have recently dyed your hair, I would also recommend against this shampoo.

It works well if you wash your hair every OTHER day, it's a little too harsh for everyday use. However, it does clean and add shine and I've noticed a significant improvement in my hair. I am although a big fan of clean smelling hair, and although this cleans it, it doesn't leave a scent.

This shampoo bar is my favorite! I have tried other ones, but i ilke this the best. First, while most of the other shampoo bars have little things in them (for godiva there are little yellow cubes that doesn't dissolve, for seanik there are a lot of seaweed, and for new there are cinnamon sticks), but this shampoo doesn't have anything but the irredescent glitter throughout the bar.

For the smell, i didn't lie it at first because it smelled like strong detergent. But now that it has grown on me, it smells kinda fresh and not as strong.

This shampoo lathers like crazy! and it leaves my hair feeling squeaky clean. When i use this this, there is some shine but not really crazy shine. And it leaves my hair SO SOFT and tamed. It is a lot easier to straighten my hair, and it looks really good after i style it.

Ive had this bar for about 3 months now, washing my hair with it for about 3 times a week. and i still have a third of it left. I really like this shampoo and recommend that you get it, even though its not one of lush's more popular shampoo bars.
