I have thick, straight hair that's dyed red and has been bleached several times in the past - some parts are damaged near the sides/ends. I had used up the Godiva and decided to try this one out. My first impression was that it lathered EXTREMELY well - unlike with the Godiva bar, I only needed two or three strokes. However as soon as I rinsed out it became a tangled, horrifying, stiff mess... 10x worse than the cheapest drugstore shampoos. I was horrified and convinced that I was going to have to throw it out. However to a pleasant surprise, after blow-drying and some tedious detangling my hair felt naturally smooth and felt extremely fresh and clean. Still not worth the tangled mess it delivered ASAP though. Would not recommend for washing in morning or people who do not have time to dry hair thoroughly.

I recently switched to this shampoo from Curly Wurly, and absolutely love it! I have wild, curly hair that is incredibly difficult to work with. I need lots of moisture in my hair, but I also need to keep my scalp clean and oily build-up to a minimum. Ultimate Shine achieves all of these goals, and adds shine. (However, it is slightly drying and definitely needs to be coupled with a good conditioner. I use Retread, but someone with more agreeable hair could probably use something a bit milder.)

I've gone through just about everyone one of Lush's solid shampoos, so I thought I'd give this a try. This made me so itchy!! I thought I was getting dandruff because of it and I couldn't stop scratching my scalp. I decided to give it one last shot and really made sure I rinsed it out all the way. Perfect! My hair is super soft, shiny, and looks very healthy even with the transition into spring.

So the lesson is, don't rub the bar into your scalp but just make it skim the corners of your hair and massage the suds through the rest of it (it foams up so much!). Then make sure you really rinse it out of your scalp. I have really thick hair so it takes longer and is "more of a hassle", but my hair is definitely clean afterwards and looks gorgeous

First shampoo bar i have ever tried and honestly, i don't think i will ever go back to regular shampoo. I was NOT expecting such a rich lather. It felt amazing and left my hair feeling so great. Just the right about of cleansing and moisturizing. My hair feels great all day long.

Since cutting my hair short, I've been looking for a way to minimize my shampoo/conditioner prices and space needed to keep them in my shower. It took me about a year to finally work up the courage to try a solid shampoo, but it was definitely worth the risk. I use the shampoo daily and my hair is softer and more healthy than I've ever seen it with any other product. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

This is a great everyday solid. It is so gentle (something I look for in a shampoo), but also leaves my hair feeling thoroughly cleaned. My hair is soft and shiny after using Ultimate Shine. I don't smell anything while using it, which I don't mind (it's better than smelling bad!). I love this shampoo because it is dependable-- I know I can use it for a good clean and not be afraid of drying out my hair. I'd say it's pretty moisturizing! It has a good lather... I can't think of any cons! Unlike some of the other shampoos that have heterogenous pieces throughout, Ultimate Shine is just one solid bar that stays intact and lasts and lasts. I don't know why it's not more popular.

I love the idea of a solid shampoo, but this was probably not the right one for my hair type. While it may work for someone with dry or thicker hair, it left mine very flat and greasy looking. Also, after a bit of time it molded and congealed into the metal shampoo case, which made it impossible to use.

This is another great staple in the shower - it works really well (lathers, cleans, isn't too harsh) on my oily scalp/chin length hair. I loved the scent in the beginning but since these last so long I got sick of it after a while. I personally liked the longevity of Jumping Juniper more, if I had to pick a basic solid shampoo bar!

Well, when i first took it out, it smeled REALLY strong. It felt really good and latered well, but when I felt my hair to rinse it out, wow did my hair squeak and feel matted and greasy. It better not feel like this when it dries. Other than that, great product!

My hair tends to be more on the dull side. So when I went into my local Lush store and asked for recommendations the sales associate pushed me in the direction of this amazing product. I was hesitant at first because I have never used a bar shampoo before but now that I have I love it! It gives my hair a great shine and keeps my hair extremely soft! The smell isn't great but for the result it is well worth it.

Before I got this shampoo bar for christmas in a gift box, I walked right past this bar in the store and never would of thought about buying it. Boy am I thankful that this shampoo bar was included in my gift. It's a plain white bar, not so special, flecks of gold glitter through out it. The scent smells of Vaseline, but then I learned that it is full of violet and from there on anytime I smelt it, it smelled like a grassy fresh flower. I use this shampoo every time I wash my hair. It has helped sort out my scalp and made my hair extremely strong! Before I used this shampoo if you tugged on a strand of my hair it would break, but now it is like an elastic! It barely breaks off anymore. My hair has never been this shiny and healthy before. My favorite shampoo bar. Don't knock it 'til you've tried it!

I am so bummed because I was ecstatic to try this. In the shower ran two swipes over my hair and a little water must of dripped down because all of a sudden I had the most intense sharp, burning feeling in my eye! Seriously felt like a little razor blade was stuck in the corner of my eye. I don't have sensitive eyes and have never had this problem before. I'm just so surprised but I'll have to just keep my head tilted way back next time. Maybe it's just me, but thought I should share in case someone actually has sensitive eyes.

Its pretty rough, but maybe that's just because I didn't use a conditioner with it, I'm going to have to find one! I had hopped it would be more glittery (to be honest that's why i bought it!)I saw some flecks of sparkle in the bar but that was about it. after the rinse out and the blow dry nothing. so there are my complaints..

but! I DO LOVE that it left my hair very clean. it lathered nicely and the smell is pleasant. I did buy it for the sparkle, which left me longing for more so next time I will get a moisturizing shampoo bar. I love the product!

This is by far the best shampoo I have ever used!
I bought it a little suspiciously, as I thought solid shampoo would never lather up, and would only last a week or so. But I was looking for a product that would get my hair really clean, and one of the employees recommended this to me. Boy, am I glad she did! My hair feels amazing every time I use this and it makes my waves shiny, plus it smells gorgeous! Pair this with American Cream conditioner, and you have a winner!

This is definitely a minimalist shampoo; it is small, easy to travel with, and has hardly any fragrance. It lathers well, and doesn't leave a conditioned feel, but once hair is dry – it is soft, smooth, and shining. This is the only shampoo I have used since I bought it, and I've been using the same bar for 9 months and am just now buying a new one. The only tricky thing is remembering to stand the bar up carefully so that it dries after each use, otherwise it becomes soggy and looses its shape.

This shampoo bar is quite amazing, it smells fanTASTIC, it does make my hair quite shiny/soft, it also helps cut down some of my frizz. The only thing that I'm not amazingly pleased with is that after your hair dries, your scalp will feel itchy until it produces just enough oil for it to stop itching (usually within 5 hours for me). There have been times with this shampoo that I've gone out without washing my hair in any way for 3, rarely 4, days and my hair will still look like I washed it that day or at most, the night before. This shampoo is great, I would recommend it to more of my friends except that we live so far away from the nearest LUSH Cosmetics store );

I love love love love LUSH's soild shampoos. my hair is SO oily that by the end of the day my hair looks greasy and gross. Not anymore! I use this and jumping Juniper ( I prefer this one though) and my hair has never been happier. for two weeeks i didn't even need a leave in!! now that this product has rid my hair of all build up, i throw a little R&B in my hair and it's beyond perfect.one of the most annoying things about other (non lush) shampoos is, they take forever to rinse out! i used to spend at least ten minutes to rinse my hair and it still felt like stuff was left over.this rinses RIGHT OUT!!!! its amazing! little tip though! Keep it on it's side in the tin! not flat on the bottom (eliminates that annoying banging the tin on everything to get the soap out.)Love love love
