Take a quarter-sized amount and apply to the entire face, including the eye area, with gentle, upward, circular motions. Remove with a warm, damp face cloth or cotton pad. Follow with a balancing facial toner such as Eau Roma Water.

Q:How long (on average, ish) will the two sizes last if I use it twice a day? I'm going away to school, and I just bought the smaller size, and have fallen in love, and with no Lush nearby I want to make sure I bring enough since it's right up the road from me here at home!Asked on 1/8/2014 by Lauren from Louisville, KY
A:That cleanser is awesome. All u need is a lil bit twice a day.
It only lasts up to three
Months and that's about how long it will last for you.
I'm sure if you are away at school there are computers, order your products online and it will come to your door! :) enjoy and good luck!

A:It really doesn't take very much product at each washing. Mine has lasted
almost a year, but I only use it once a day, so if u use it twice a day I
would say around 6 months, plus u can always order it online :).Answered on 1/9/2014 by Anonymous
Q:I have a separate makeup remover for my skin is very sensitive but would this be a good cleanser for the morning time just to give my face a quick cleanse before my moisturizer and makeup? do you have any suggestions for a gentle morning cleanser?Asked on 1/3/2014 by sceaster
A:This would be a great option as it is very gentle and works well with sensitive skin.Answered on 2/28/2014 by Kendra M from LUSH Direct
A:I use this as my daily face cleanser. My skin is prone to flaky dryness in some areas and breakouts in others. This cleanser takes care of both. While it does remove my eye makeup with no trouble, it works just fine as cleanser. It is so gentle that I can open my eyes while I am rubbing it around on my face. It doesn't drip and it certainly doesn't sting.
If you are unsure, I would recommend going to a Lush location and asking for a trial sample. I am sure they'll be happy to give you some so you can try it at home.Answered on 1/28/2014 by MoMo from Hartford, CT
Q:i feel like i am just rubbing my make up all over my face then wiping it off do i need to wash with it twice if i have a lot on?Asked on 9/20/2013 by Anna G from Albuquerque
A:You do not need to use a lot of this product. It's recommended that you only use a quarter-sized amount and apply to the entire face, including the eye area, with gentle, upward, circular motions. Remove with a warm, damp face cloth or cotton pad.
Also, if you would like follow this with a balancing facial toner such as Eau Roma Water.Answered on 11/21/2013 by Anonymous
A:I love ultrabland. I put it on my face and then use a washcloth to take it off. I only use about a dime size. Hope this helps.

A:Don't be afraid to apply a glob of Ultrabland directly into your eye area if you, like me, don't have any reaction to it getting in your eyes. Concentrate gentle, circular motions on the areas with heavier/sticker make up, then soak a wash cloth in very warm water. Hold the wash cloth against your face, and let the heat form a little steam. I push my finger tips against my eyes and hold it against my cheeks with my palms. After pressing the wash cloth against your face for at least 3-5 seconds, remove it in a slow, wiping motion like they do when you get a facial, being sure to gently, methodically wipe the entire surface of your face once. If I have particularly heavy make up on or if I didn't take enough time or care with the wash cloth the first time, I will rinse the cloth and repeat the steaming/wiping step. The wash cloth will be full of make up that is hard to rinse out so I often use a new one each day, which is sort of a pain. If your skin can handle it, I sometimes wash first with Cetaphil. I understand that's not ideal, but if it makes you use the Ultrabland regularly, it's better than...not using it. Try taking more time with the Ultrabland before jumping straight to pre-washing. The ingredients in Ultrabland really should be enough to break down your make up, so washing first is more of a way to make you feel better. It's similar to how you might feel like your hair is cleanest when it's squeaky after shampooing, when what you've done is dried out your hair.Answered on 9/20/2013 by Anonymous
A:I personally.. get a hot wash towel.. wet my face before I put the
cleanser on, and then rub the cleanser on my eyes mostly.. then rub
around the rest of my face., and you don't need a whole lot to rub on
the face..I rub it in , till I get all the cleanser rubbed into the
face to loosen up the makeup .. and then I wash it off.. then rinse
the towel a couple of times, and rinse again... till I feel its
washed off , and feels clean.. :)Answered on 9/20/2013 by Anonymous
A:I don't wear too much makeup, on a heavy day it's BB cream and mascara and blush so once does the trick for me! I don't think it would hurt any to do it twice!! I usually use a nickel sized amount and massage it in my face for and on my eyes and that seems to more than cover everything

A:Anna G - the ultrabland is a bid thick. I use it like those old
fashioned cold creams. You put it on and some people just wipe it off
with a tissue or cotton ball. This leaves a moisturizing base on and
they use that instead of lotion. I actually like to wash it off with
just some warm water and a facecloth. This also leaves a moisturizing
base on but it isn't as heavy. I think that it's okay to wash it twice
if you have a lot on.
Also, my mom uses it just as a nighttime lotion. She will put a thin
layer on after a shower (she often showers at night) and then just go to
sleep. She says that it really helps to moisturize her skin, especially
in the wintertime.
Hope this helps.Answered on 9/20/2013 by Anonymous
Q:I've been using this as a cleanser and a moisturizer, I've seen a positive change but will this end up clogging my pores in the long run?Asked on 8/29/2013 by damsel.incontrol from United States
A:Utlrabland is really effective at removing build-up from your skin, so I don't think it will contribute to blocked pores. It is very moisturizing as you've found, so you might want to alternate with a different cleanser if you're finding it is over-moisturing your face.Answered on 10/4/2013 by Kendra M from LUSH Direct
A:Hello. I use the ultrabland pretty much every day. I also gave some to
my mom and my aunt and they love it. We haven't had any problem with
clogging of the pores. I use it mostly as a cleanser and in the
wintertime, also as a moisturizer. My mother mainly uses it as a
cleanser. We're all way above the age of any pimples - puberty is far
behind us. I've been using this product for almost five years now
(pretty much daily) and oiliness/pimples has not been an issue. Hope
this helps with your question.

Q:Can you use it as a mask?Asked on 7/26/2013 by Neels from United States
A:Yes, I like to apply a thin layer like a mask while I soak in the bath, and then I actually use a bit of Coal Face to rinse it off! Ultra Bland is very versatile, and if you leave it on the skin for a bit before wiping or rinsing it off, you will find your skin will be very soft and smooth.Answered on 8/21/2013 by Megan from LUSH Direct
Q:I can't tell if this product is just purging the toxins from my skin or just causing me to break out? Ive been using for a week, how long should i give it to determine if it's right for my skin?Asked on 7/24/2013 by jacey
A:It can take at least 2 weeks for the skin to complete a full cycle, and in some cases it can be as long as a month, so that's why we recommend using a product for a few weeks in order to give it a chance to prove itself. Sometimes breakouts are part of this process, but if they do persist, it might be time to try another product!Answered on 9/20/2013 by Brandy from LUSH
A:It took me a week to start seeing results but I also felt like I was breaking out more the first 4-5 days. Give it at least 2 more weeks :)Answered on 7/26/2013 by Breakout princess from Honolulu , HI
Q:I have acne prone , oily skin . Will this make me break-out ?Asked on 6/28/2013 by anonymous
A:Although Ultrabland does contain oils, it shouldn't cause breakouts! As long as you smooth it on, and then remove it completely, it should bond with any excess oil and lift it away, leaving your skin feeling soft and refreshed!Answered on 10/4/2013 by Brandy from LUSH
A:I have acne prone and oily skin. Ultrabland is amazing. I have no more acne and my skin is in balance.Answered on 8/29/2013 by Damsel.incontrol from Salt Lake City, Utah
Q:Would I be able to use this with my Clarisonic or is the consistency not compatible?Asked on 1/27/2013 by Rachel from New York
A:Ultrabland was not designed to be used with additional tools other than a wet washcloth or cotton pads to help remove it! It's best to just apply it with the fingers.Answered on 9/10/2013 by Brandy from LUSH
A:I wouldn't. This product latches onto the gunk in your skin and pulls it out when you wipe it off with a wet cloth. Because of the thickness of this cream, it will likely clog the brush/bristles and prevent the cream from doing its job naturally.Answered on 3/19/2013 by lushieinthedesert from Albuquerque,NM
Q:After using this product, do you follow up with a moisturizer?Asked on 10/3/2012 by jah flo from flint, mi
A:Ultra Bland is a very moisturizing cleanser in itself. However, if your skin is very dry and you still find it needs a moisturizer after using Ultra Bland. Skin Drink is a great moisturizer for parched skin.Answered on 10/27/2012 by Anonymous
Q:Why are there parabens in this product, aren't they bad for you?Asked on 7/24/2012 by Teri from San Diego, CA
A:The preservative ingredients in Ultra Bland keep it from growing bacteria, yeast, fungi, and other nasties which could seriously harm someone if they were allowed to grow in a skin care product. We use only the smallest amounts of preservatives needed to do the job effectively, and we make sure to choose our synthetic materials based on their long history of safe use.Answered on 8/28/2012 by Megan from LUSH Direct
Q:I read the ingredients and they sound moisturizing. Think this can be used on a really dry & flaky scalp?Asked on 7/5/2012 by Madam_JellyBean from New York, NY
A:The Ultrabland is designed as a face cleanser, but it is definitely a versatile product! The almond oil is moisturizing, the beeswax helps protect the skin, and rose is incredibly soothing, so this could be a great choice as a scalp treatment. Give it a try and see how it feels. You can also call our customer care team at 1-888-733-5874, and we would be happy to recommend a few other products that might help, too!Answered on 7/13/2012 by Laura from LUSH
Q:I was told that this product would really help my mild acne and smooth my face. It's been about 2.5 weeks and I haven't noticed any positive changes, in fact I've gotten new acne!! Should I give it more time or try a different product?Asked on 6/16/2012 by Anonymous
A:This isn't really advertised for helping with acne. It's helped with mine, but everyone is different. If you haven't seen any changes, you should go to your local Lush store, talk to someone there, and they'll most likely recommend a better product for you.Answered on 8/28/2012 by Kris from NJ
A:Ultra Bland is definitely a product that is suitable for all skin types, however, we do have products that are better suited for acne prone skin. A full skin cycle is about 3 weeks so we usually recommend trying the products for at least that amount of time to see how your skin takes to it. If after 3 weeks you are not noticing any positive changes, we would suggest seeing if there is a product that suits you better.Answered on 10/26/2012 by Melissa S from LUSH Direct
Q:How long does Ultra Bland keep? I got a sample that I love but I'm concerned it will "go bad" before I can use up a whole tub.Asked on 5/5/2012 by Naomi from Minneapolis MN
A:Ultra Bland has a shelf-life of 14 months. If you make sure not to get any water in the container, and keep it in a cool dry place, it should definitely last you the full 14 months.Answered on 5/9/2012 by Megan from LUSH
A:i bought a pot in april and it said on the bottom that it didn't expire until may of next year. most of lush's products have a shelf life of about 14 months.Answered on 5/20/2012 by KR from California
Q:Does this product remove makeup?Asked on 3/16/2012 by Anonymous
A:Yes, Ultra Bland is very effective to remove makeup. I like to apply a generous amount all over my skin, and then massage it in gently. Next, I take a washcloth and run it under warm water, and then gently wipe the cleanser off of my skin. The result is soft, clean, smooth skin!Answered on 3/19/2012 by Megan from LUSH
A:Yup, it sure does! I think it's helpful to use a warm washcloth to take off, but it's even gentle enough to remove eye make up!Answered on 4/18/2012 by aud1out from Indiana
A:Absolutely, most definitely, without a doubt. I always wipe it off with a cotton pad sprayed with toner, and that seems to do the trick. If I have a lot of make up on, I'll sometimes have to use 2 pads. Whatever it takes! :)Answered on 4/20/2012 by Katie from IL
A:Yes this product removes ALL make up if used correctly by gently rubbing it on face and eyes and removing with a cotton swab (preferably sprayed with Tea Tree Water or Breath of Fresh Air for best results, considering ultra bland is a thick substance). This product removes dirt all removes dirt from face and can help with breakouts and problem pimples. It is best for everyday use and lasts a long time because you only need a small amount to remove A LOT of make up.Answered on 4/30/2012 by Marcy from Toronto,ON
A:Yep! Really well!Answered on 5/4/2012 by Dee-licious from Portland, Oregon
Q:Since this is "greasy", does it clog your pores?Asked on 2/13/2012 by Anonymous
A:This is one of Lush's most popular products and it will not clog your pores, it deep cleans, then directions are to remove with a warm washcloth, which will open and clear pores. Following with a toner is also a good idea.Answered on 2/15/2012 by Community Answer from None
A:Not a bit! I was worried about that greasy texture as well, but there is nothing to worry about. Ultra bland is just heavenly.Answered on 3/4/2012 by Flanigan from CT
A:Although the main ingredient is almond oil, and it is quite thick, Ultra Bland was actually created to balance out any skin type! Since you're meant to remove it shortly after applying it, this cleanser does not clog pores; in fact, that oil actually lifts away excess oil when it's removed, and it leaves the skin soft and nourished.Answered on 8/30/2012 by Brandy from LUSH
Q:Do you wash with a regular cleanser after cleansing with this product???Asked on 1/15/2012 by Anonymous
A:There's no need to use a second cleanser after cleansing with the Ultra Bland cold cream-style cleanser. To remove the cleanser, I like to use a warm washcloth to gently lift away the softening oils, or you can use the toner of your choice on a cotton pad to wipe away the cleanser if you'd prefer.Answered on 1/24/2012 by Megan from LUSH
