I don't have a lush near me currently, so I had to order this based on reviews. When I got it, at first I didn't like the smell at all. I thought it was gross, and smelled like bad ice cream. But since I bought it I thought hey, I'll use it. So I rubbed it all over my hands, arms and elbows. And throughout the day I'm like what smells so good, I realized it was the lotion I had applied! After my shower I smelt it again and I was just like no, it can't be, but I decided to put it all over my body, and I just loved it. It's great after the shower! actually it's great all the time!

Bottom line, if you don't like it the first time, give it some time!

I have never been able to use ANY kind of hand lotions/creams. Each one I tried always felt greasy and I'd end up washing my hands to get rid of the yucky film. Vanilla Dee-Lite is the answer!!! My skin literally drank it in! And the smell!! I can't stop smelling my hands! Thank you, Lush!!

I use Vanilla Dee-lite for a body lotion right after I shower, and carry it in my purse to use when my hands need a little TLC. I love the smell so much, sometimes I don't even wear perfume because of the yummy smell of it! I also love how it isn't greasy or oily because I find that body lotions and butters do that to me. I also have sensitive skin and this lotion doesn't irritate me or make me itch like other lotions that have fragrance in them. I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!

This lotion smells amazing! I received it in the Hello Gorgeous gift set, and I have to restrain myself from using too much of it too quickly. The scent is long lasting, and though at first it feels like it will be too light, it moisturizes perfectly. I will definately be going to purchase it again.

I walked into Lush with the Intention of getting the Karma Kream or Sympathy for the skin. But After smelling the Vanilla De Lite I HAD to buy it. It was a little pricey for something that doesn't come with a black pot, but It's natural ingredients so i went for it. I have very, very, very dry skin. This is obviously a very Light mositurizer. I combined this with Ro's Argon and have been doing pretty good so far. I plan on trying Skin Sin or Sympathy for the skin as it get's closer to Winter. I love this stuff, and I would totally but it again!

I was using the Creme Anglaise daily but it was getting expensive! So I went to Lush looking for a lighter, less expensive option that I could use daily after my shower. I tried this lotion and didn't love it at first. I love the smell of vanilla but this lotion has some floral notes in it and I do NOT like anything floral. However, once applied, the floral scent fades away quickly, leaving a nice warm vanilla-y scent. This lotion is lightweight but still does a great job of moisturizing dry skin. It absorbs almost instantly without leaving any greasiness or residue behind. It leaves you feeling soft, smooth, and comfortable...and smelling great! This is a definite must have in my book!

When I first opened the bottle of this, the first thing I thought is that it smells exactly like Lush's Vanilla Powder Puff (which I love). When you first put on the lotion it doesn't seem like it's going to be very moisturizing because it doesn't have a very thick consistency. However, don't let the texture fool you- it does a great job moisturizing hands! It's a little bit greasy, but no more than most hand lotions. Another note on the smell- it lasts a long time. :)
Overall, awesome product.

I have to start by saying I have truly weird skin. I have an oily scalp and face, along with acne, of course, that extends from my face to my neck, back and shoulders. But, my arms and legs are so dry and sensitive to anything that isn't vegan or all natural, will cause me to break out all over my legs and arms. That said, I usually use Dream Cream, but it's a little too heavy right now, with all of the humidity here in the mid-west. And I'm so excited to say that I have found an excellent spring and summer replacement lotion, in Vanilla Dee-Light.

It goes on very light, and you don't have to use a lot to feel moisturized. I think I used maybe a dime-size amount on my hands, and that was enough to quench them. It absorbs fairly quickly, so it would be good to use after a shower while getting ready. I also will keep a small bottle in my purse for work because while the scent is amazing, it doesn't radiate off my hands, which is good since I work with people and food.

Speaking of scent ... it's beyond amazing and the whole reason I wrote this review. It does smell like vanilla, without smelling like a teenager. Also, it's not burried underneath a dozen different of herbal smells (like lavender, sandalwood or patchouli) but it's nice and pleasant. The kiwi is the kicker. It adds a little bit of sweetness without making you smell like buttercream frosting, and gives it an almost floral undertone. That's probably why I enjoy it so much. I love floral/fruit scents, but tend to stray away from anything that might make me smell like dessert. Even my boyfriend, who usually gets a headache from smelly/girlie stuff, loves this!

I got this as a sample yesterday in the store and will definitely be adding it to my Christmas Wishlist. It is pricey, but I don't see myself going through a bottle in even a six month time period, so I will bite the bullet and treat myself.

I received this originally as a sample. At first I was a little surprised as how thin it felt. I had been using body butters which are much thicker. Once I stared to using it, I realize how nice and light it felt on my skin. It still a wonderful job moisturizing, it just wasn't a heavy one. A little goes a long with this moisturizer as well! I like to use it with the vanilla puff powder during the summer.

I bought this because once I put some on in the store, I loved the smell. Plus I felt I did well in school and got a lot of money that month so I should treat myself to something I wouldn't normally get. So I got it. To start, I have dry, acne prone (Gross, I know haha) skin all over my body. The lotion didn't rustle up my acne or anything, but after about 5minutes, my skin felt like I didn't have any lotion on at all and I might as well just have not put any on. The only thing that stays is the smell. Overall, it didn't irritate my skin (Which is important because I have sensitive eczema skin) but it didn't help it either. Next time, I'll just buy the same scent in the Gorilla Perfume instead and go back to my [@] brand unscented lotion that moisturizes so much better.

This lotion and combo was recommended by a sales associate. I AM IN LOVE!!! Alone the lotion smells amazing, but with the vanilla powder and perfume I smell like a lemon cupcake!! My boyfriend bought the products for me because I smelled so good in the store after trying the products. I use this every morning the smell lasts a long time, and it is not at all greasy! I would not use this during the winter because it is a very light weight moisturizer and during that time of year I need something heavier, but it is PERFECT for spring and summer! I will definitely buy again!

I don't have much to say than what I said in pros and cons. It's expensive, great for everything, absorbs quickly, goes on smoothly, lasts forever, moisturizes AMAZINGLY, not greasy, smells AMAZING, it leaves your skin super soft and the scent lingers like no joke. I tried it on in the store and when I ate lunch 2 hours later (I was in LUSH forever) my skin still smelled like Vanilla De-Lite.

So sad that this isn't a winner for me. I typically enjoy vanilla (Vanilla Fountain is a fave) but this lotion had almost an inexpensive sweet smell to it which I know isn't characteristic of Lush.

I have rather dry skin so when I saw that this lotion is on the thin side, I was skeptical about its moisturizing abilities. I was wrong! It's very moisturizing and it has the lovely shortbread cookie-esque smell that I've come to crave from vanilla scented Lush products. While I would rather use a thicker body cream in the winter months, this will be a staple for me in warm weather.

I love using this after a bath, as it makes my skin feel nice and soft. I really do like the smell, it's not quite like how vanilla usually smells but sort of like a vanilla pastry or some kind of baked good, like sort of gingerbread-y, to me. It's kind of sparkly, too, and gives a nice sheen to the skin. I don't feel like it's that good for moisturizing though, as the effect wears off not long after putting it on and it's no good for my winter-ravaged dry hands. But it's still nice to use. For the price though I would not personally buy it again.

I LOVE this moisturizer! It smells great, not at all like fake vanilla; it's more of a light, slightly dough-y scent. It's really creamy and moisturizing, and not at all greasy! Definitely one of my favourite lush products, and maybe even my favourite body lotion! :D

I bought this lotion in the 100g size and I am in LOVE. I typically don't go for vanilla scented products (I'm more of a citrus, fruity scented lover), but this changed my mind! I am in LOVE with this lotion! This lotion smells like a cocoa- vanilla blend and smells completely natural. I only need to apply a dime sized amount for full effectiveness so none goes to waste! This works wonders on dry, chapped hands and just about anywhere else you need some extra moisture. This lotion is especially great since it absorbs into my skin almost instantly so I don't need to worry about it getting on my clothing or leaving a greasy residue. I applied this on my hands and arms last night and when I woke up this morning, my arms still smelled like Vanilla Dee-Lite! I would definitely purchase this again since it's a great value for the 100g size.
