Q:how do you keep this massage bar from melting at room temperature? what indigent holds it together? is it organic?Asked on 6/10/2014 by robin from portland, or
A:The massage bars are designed to melt at body temperature, so there shouldn't be any problems with them melting at room temperature. If your house is particularly warm, you can store it in the fridge to keep it from melting. It is a combination of all of the ingredients that hold the bar together and keep it solid until it warms up- kind of like a chocolate bar! We use organic ingredients wherever possible, which we include on the ingredient listing on the product, and on our website.Answered on 9/25/2014 by Melissa S from LUSH Direct

Q:So I'm very interested in purchasing this massage bar, but I'm slightly concerned about the summer temperatures here. Midwest summers can be ridiculously hot and humid and I have two questions: one, is this massage bar likely to melt in homes that can be around 90 degrees inside? And two, if the bar WOULD be likely to melt in these temperatures, would it be safe to store it in the refrigerator to keep it from melting or would that somehow ruin the composition of the bar?Asked on 5/25/2014 by Auguste from Iowa
A:Our massage bars do melt when shipped to warm locations, sometimes during transit, as they are full of cocoa and shea butters. However if you do receive a massage bar in tact and are worried about it melting you can definitely keep it in the fridge.Answered on 9/1/2014 by Anonymous
A:You can totally keep it in the fridge. My Husband prefers it that way because he loves the cool feeling on his skin. Store it in some sort of container though, ours melted before we even got it home with our summer temps but I put it in a small ramekin melted it all outside in the sun then resolidified it in the fridge. The beans sunk to the bottom so it still work amazingly and it's a thicker rounder bar now.Answered on 8/16/2014 by ksills from Kansas
A:I live in Colorado. It can be very cold or very hot here. But in both seasons, I always keep my products in one of the lush containers (or zip lock baggie) under my sink because the steam from the shower can melt the products. For bath melts, I always refrigerate. But once you get your product, if it seems like it's melting (which really is a waste), there should be no issues with refrigerating. At least not that I've ever experienced.Answered on 6/8/2014 by Cassie from Denver, CO

A:Our massage bars have a shelf life of 14 months from the day they are made! Because our massage bars melt at body temperature, be sure to keep yours somewhere cool, dry, and out of direct sunlight. Hope this helps! Have a lushious day!Answered on 11/15/2013 by Anonymous
