LUSH DIY Pedicure

DIY >> Foot Care

The days are getting longer and temperatures are rising…it’s nearly summer!

Summertime means sandal time, so it’s time to get your toes ready for some fun in the sun. Having spent the winter cooped up in wool socks, slippers and rubber boots, your feet definitely deserve some TLC. We’ve got everything you need to treat yourself to a DIY LUSH pedicure – you’ll be walking on sunshine in no time!

Here’s what you’ll need:

Avobath Bath Bomb

Stepping Stone foot scrub

Volcano foot mask

Fair Trade Foot Lotion

A large basin

A clean towel

Step 1

Set the mood Find yourself a comfortable spot. Think outside the bathroom: get your basin and head outdoors to the patio, or set up in a comfy chair indoors. Gather up all your supplies, put on some summery tunes, grab the latest edition of the LUSH catalog and get ready for some serious relaxation.

Step 2

Fill your basin with warm water and drop in an Avobath Bath Bomb. Ease your feet into the fizzy, fragrant waters and soak them for 10-15 minutes. Avobath’s healthy helping of fresh avocados will soften your soles, while zingy lemongrass oil and baking soda will cleanse and deodorize even the smelliest of toes.

Step 3

Over your basin, break off a piece of your Stepping Stone Foot Scrub and rub it directly onto your damp feet. Focus on your heels and other dry or calloused spots that need extra attention. Stepping Stone’s exfoliating pumice and sea salt will scrub away dry skin, and the refreshing lemon and lime oils lend to its uplifting citrusy aroma.

Step 4

Rinse and dry your feet, and apply Volcano foot mask all over them. Volcano’s deep-cleansing kaolin clay and papaya will get feet clean and fresh, and cinnamon leaf oil provides a glorious tingly sensation. Sit back and relax for 10-15 minutes (this is a great time to flip through your LUSH catalog!) then gently rub Volcano off in warm water, massaging as you go. The fine pumice will help to exfoliate away any last rough bits of skin.

Step 5

Finally, dry your feet and smooth on a healthy dose of Fair Trade Foot Lotion. Its refreshing blend of peppermint oil and arnica infusion will leave your feet feeling tingly-fresh and as light as a feather. Now sit back, admire your handiwork and enjoy your soft, summer-ready tootsies!
