I recently dyed my hair and want a moisturizing shampoo that won’t strip the color.

Dying hair opens up your hair’s cuticle to deposit color. This ruffling of your cuticle is often difficult to smooth back down, leaving it prone to moisture loss. We use hydrating ingredients like cocoa butter, honey and jojoba oil in our shampoos to moisturize colored locks. Try shampoos like the fresh banana-packed Blousey and Fairly Traded Honey to keep your hair hydrated and your color looking fresh.

I want volume. Major volume! Which shampoo will help my cause?

When it comes to getting voluminous, sexy hair, sea salt is LUSH’s favorite ingredient. I’d of course recommend Big shampoo, a sea salt shampoo made specifically for volume. You’ve gotta see it to believe it, it’s literally brimming with coarse sea salt! We now also have Big solid conditioner, giving us the moisture and nutrition of coconut oil but further complimented with more sea salt for more volume.

My scalp is really oily, but my ends are dry and splitting. Help!

This is a common problem, and balance can bring the two together. Essential oils like lavender, rosemary and juniper do wonders to balance the scalp. Shampoos like Jumping Juniper or Ultimate Shine are great choices, as is Rehab. Rehab is additionally reinforced with olive oil to strengthen hair, which can prevent splitting. Also, give Shine So Bright a try! It’s a rich coconut and olive oil balm for split ends, and you only use it where you need to so you don’t have to worry about the scalp.

I love my curls. How can I keep them in beautiful condition?

Curls are gorgeous, but as you know, they can take a little extra maintenance to keep them springy and shiny. The curlier hair is, the more opportunity there is for moisture loss and breakage, so keeping curls hydrated is key. Curly Wurly shampoo was made to do just this. Its rich blend of coconut and fresh eggs keep the hair soft and strong. We also love R&B for curls. Extra virgin coconut oil, jojoba oil and candelilla wax seal in moisture and keep the curls defined (and the smell is heavenly and tropical).

My hair goes really frizzy in the summertime! How can I smooth things out?

I can relate! When it’s humid outside, the hair sucks it up and it swells, causing it to get a little out of control. Look for moisturizing ingredients like olive oil or coconut oil, and cuticle smoothers like vinegar, citrus, or rosemary. Cynthia Sylvia Stout shampoo is intended to help give sleekness to the hair, and it’s half beer, which will smooth fluffy hair and give it shine.
