Tame Your Mane: Solutions for Every Hair Care Concern

LUSH Facts >> Tips and Tricks

We always want what we can't have! But that doesn't mean that you can't work with what you've got for hair that's manageable, soft and LUSH-ious. No matter your concern, we've got you covered with shampoos, conditioners, and hair treatments loaded with fabulous ingredients you can actually pronounce. From cocoa butter to fresh avocado, seaweed infusion to lavender extract, we source natures finest to bring you the best hair care solutions. While the perfect head of hair may always be elusive, our collection of treats for your tresses will get your mane closer to nirvana than ever before.

Feeling Thirsty?

When your hair is experiencing a drought it's time to provide some much needed hydration. The key to caring for dry hair is to nourish it with moisturizing blends of fruit and nut butters for healthy, quenched locks. Begin with a shampoo that's designed to gently cleanse while leaving behind moisturized tresses. Godiva 2 in 1 Solid Shampoo Bar does just the trick with a mixture of Shea and cocoa butters to rehydrate and soften dry hair. Next, follow up with an extra dose of conditioner to quench those tough tresses with insatiable thirsts. For day to day softening we recommend Jungle Solid Conditioner Bar with fresh passion fruit and avocado butter to drench hair in lightweight moisture. If you've been experiencing an extended period of drought with no sign of rain in sight reach for Retread. Our richest conditioner is packed with fresh yogurt, avocado oil, and soya milk to help nourish damaged tresses and lock in moisture. Work Retread through ultra-fried and dehydrated hair and we guarantee you'll be feeling smoother in no time. Finish with a few dabs of R&B hair moisturizer to style dry, frizzy and curly hair. This treatment feature a blend of avocado butter, extra virgin coconut oil and candelilla wax to condition hair from root to tip while defining curls and keeping frizz at bay.

Pump it up

Turn up the volume on flat, floppy hair that refuses to stand at attention. When dealing with limp locks look for ingredients that build volume without leaving behind bulk and buildup. Our Big Shampoo keeps your mane looking full with the help of sea salt, which builds volume while softening the hair. Big also features a seaweed infusion and coconut oil to hydrate dry tresses and keep them looking healthy. Follow up with a lightweight conditioner that won't deflate all that body building you've been doing. Veganese is the perfect solution to nourish fine tresses without weighing them down. This lemon scented wonder features agar seaweed gel for weightless moisture and softened locks. Finish with a not-so-secret weapon used by hair stylists to plump up tired tresses. Work No Drought dry shampoo through your mane when you need a little extra lift or want to freshen up without the shower. This ultra-fine citrusy powder uses talc to subtly plump up your look while absorbing excess oil.

Damage Control

Hair dryers, straighteners, bleach and hairspray. If you're guilty of any one of these haircare sins, not to worry, we have a great range of restorative products for hair that needs a little extra love. Begin the road to recovery by lathering up with Rehab shampoo. Rehab will nurse your hair back to health with a mixture of strengthening olive oil and fresh fruit juices for a deep cleanse. Next, you'll need a treatment for a full hair recovery. Begin at the root of the problem with Hair Doctor scalp and hair treatment (available in-store only). This preservative-free peppermint treatment cleanses and softens itchy scalps with the help of stimulating rosemary oil and hydrating fullers earth. If you're still feeling frazzled reach for H'suan Wen Hua hair moisturizer, which is sure to put some life back into out-of-condition hair. Olive oil, eggs, and bananas drench dehydrated hair with nourishing moisture to restore it to its former glory. Now all that's left to do is rinse off and shake that healthy mane like you mean it!
