Green Tips: Boxes and Tape
The always lovely Shama is back and this time she's telling us all about... boxes?
While we limit our use of packaging, cardboard boxes and tape are still necessary for our business. From shipping our fresh products to our shops or to you at home through Mail Order, we want to ensure that our labors of love arrive safely. But, even the simplest, most common objects are an opportunity for us to cut-back our impact on the environment. They may not be glamorous, but our efforts behind the scenes in redesigning our cardboard boxes and tape have had incredible results.

Green Tips: LUSH Bottles and Pots
Creating Naked and packaging-free products at LUSH is at the core of our philosophy. In fact, 46% of our products are currently sold Naked. But really, who doesn't love it naked? However, there are some absolutely gorgeous ingredients that have incredible benefits for your hair and body that can't be made into a solid form. For those products we use bottles and pots, and we've done our best to source options that lessen our impact on the environment.

Meet Shama Alexander
From our very humble beginnings, our aim has been to create effective products made with ethically sourced ingredients, and with the least impact on the environment. We're extremely proud of our product inventions that are preservative and packaging-free, not to mention never tested on animals. But, we also know that we can always do better in all that we do at LUSH.
That's when we bring in the experts. As our resident Green Officer here at LUSH North America, Shama Alexander guides us in our efforts to increase our sustainability across the entire business from production, distribution, design, in our shops, and at LUSH HQ. Most of her hard work is behind the scenes. Like a ninja, she's silent but always there.
