2-4-6-8! Who do we appreciate? LUSH Dads!
These guys are not only colleagues that make working at LUSH dynamic and inspiring, but are fathers at home, raising kids with their values (and tremendously good hygiene). This Father’s Day, we tip our hats to all of those LUSH gents that bring so much to their jobs and co-workers, as well as their beautiful families at home. And we’re not just talking about personalized batches of FUN for their kids!
We asked seven LUSH Dads to talk about what crosses between home life and LUSH for them, how they get laughs from their kiddos, and gathered up suggestions for future products from their offspring. And of course, with summer on the mind - where would they head for a dream vacation?
Read on for their answers, and adorable family photos.
As one of the first LUSH employees in North America, Graham Brown has helped raise our business, as well as his family.
Graham’s planning and forecasting skills as Director of Manufacturing work double-duty at home - where he is not only a master of bath time, but keeps his boys’ sports teams and activities organized with spreadsheets. Soon enough, he’ll have to add another column: He and his wife Brenda, along with sons Fraser and Gavin, ages 10 and 8, (and the whole LUSH family) welcomed daughter Evangeline this year, who will be just 4 months old by Father’s Day. So what would this fun, musical family create in the LUSH Labs? Gr...
Handmade is more than just a part of our name; it's an important part of who we are and what we do.
And making things by hand goes beyond just the products at LUSH. There are real people behind every aspect of our business - from the tables and furniture in our shops made by hand, our handwritten signs, and even the writing on our walls. And Nadia is the one putting it up there.
While she might not have a face sticker to make her famous, Nadia has made her mark in our shops across North America. Find out what she collects, what she wishes her secret powers were, and why she loves LUSH.
Another one of our cast of characters living the LUSH life, Chainsaw (otherwise known as Shannon), works in Manufacturing Management in Vancouver. While she won't reveal where her nickname comes from, you can find out about her various roles in the company, what her secret wish is, her favorite memories working at LUSH, and all about the return of Goat Snake!
We have some amazing working moms at LUSH, we appreciate and respect their dedication and contributions at work, knowing that everyday they have to go home and give that same energy and enthusiasm to their kids.
If their creativity and hard work at home is anything like what they bring to the table at work, we can only imagine what powerful children they are raising! We asked a few moms what its like being a mom and working for LUSH.
Erika Edwards from Marketing and Charitable Givings in Vancouver says, “Being part of the LUSH family, and being a Mom works well because there is understanding and support from co-workers and management that you have Mom responsibilities outside of work that are important, and having a work/life balance is encouraged.”
That’s great to hear from our Head Office employees; but LUSH has mom employees across North America, many of whom travel extensively in their roles. Ginny Stanley from the Retail Support Team based in Chicago agrees with Erika, “Being a mom and being a LUSH employee are a great combination because LUSH doesn't make me choose between being a good mom and being a good employee. They make it easy to devote the time I need to my family”. Even with her travel schedule, Ginny is able to work around her families needs and ...
When Dan first came to LUSH, it was as an intern in our Marketing department.
He loved the LUSH Life so much he decided to stay (and we're so lucky to have him!) and now he's currently working as the MIT in our Massage room. Find out more about his LUSH experience, and why he works hard to make his mum proud.
Oh, and his best dance move? Priceless.
