Meet Julia Hamfelt
Published four times a year, the LUSH Times catalog is the go-to for everything LUSH. We know you read in the tub, in bed, on the train, by the fire - it really gets around. Julia Hamfelt is our very talented LUSH Times editor who works with our Copy team at HQ in Vancouver. After starting her LUSH career in a shop, she moved to Vancouver to join the Copy team and has since taken the reins of our beloved publication. We're lucky to have her.

Meet Shama Alexander
From our very humble beginnings, our aim has been to create effective products made with ethically sourced ingredients, and with the least impact on the environment. We're extremely proud of our product inventions that are preservative and packaging-free, not to mention never tested on animals. But, we also know that we can always do better in all that we do at LUSH.
That's when we bring in the experts. As our resident Green Officer here at LUSH North America, Shama Alexander guides us in our efforts to increase our sustainability across the entire business from production, distribution, design, in our shops, and at LUSH HQ. Most of her hard work is behind the scenes. Like a ninja, she's silent but always there.

...We've Been Named One of the 50 Best Employers in Canada 2013!
We believe in happy people making happy soap, putting our faces on our products and making our mums proud.
We grabbed a camera, went around the business, and asked our employees to tell us what they loved about working for LUSH. We didn't tell them why we were making this video - these are their unscripted, unprompted answers.
We've had to keep a secret for a few weeks now and it's been really hard not to tell anyone. Transparency is integral to who we are, but we promised to keep our lips sealed.
In fact, until now our employees didn’t even know.
We are very proud to (finally!) announce that LUSH Cosmetics has been recognized and ranked #26 as one of the 50 Best Employers in Canada for 2013!
Even better? The Best Employers award is determined by employee feedback. In June, we asked our employees to fill out a survey administered by a third party, Aon Hewitt. We scored an unbelievable 79% on a variety of criteria and questions that determined our performance as an employer. We are truly humbled by the response.
But we also know we aren't perfect. The feedback we have gained from the survey is invaluable and will help us to improve and grow our business. Happy people are making happy soap, and we want to continue to make them proud. We wouldn't be who we are without our amazing employees. This recognition is an incredible honor, and an accomplishment shared by everyone here at LUSH.
