It's Time to Turn Back the Clocks
It's that time of year again. Literally. Every six months we take control of the hands of time and change up the clocks. Spring forward and Fall back - or as it's commonly known, a zombie apocalypse and extra long line-ups for coffee. Get ready to Fall back this Sunday, November 4th.
Here are some of our suggestions to help you survive:
Take control of your own destiny. Switch your clock at noon on Saturday instead of at 2 am on Sunday. Of course no one else will be in the same time zone, but your punctuality will be exceptional. By the time Sunday rolls around the whole time change will be no big deal and you can go back to being 5 minutes late for everything.
Change all of your clocks at once, not just one. Otherwise you'll spend the rest of the weekend stuck in a vortex of time and not in a cool Matrix kind of way.
Hauling out the big guns (aka a ladder) to change up your wall clocks? While you're up there check on and replace the batteries in your smoke alarms. If you're afraid of heights and are trying to coerce someone else to do it for you, turn up the heat, remove some clothing and rub a Hottie massage bar all over while watching them. "Is it hot in here, or is it just me? Guaranteed fastest alarm and clock change EVER.
Apparently exercise is also beneficial for helping your body cope with the changes. See the above tip for a healthy activity options.
Before bed on Saturday night hide small presents for yourself around the house so when you're stumbling around in a stupor on Sunda...

Green Tips: LUSH Bottles and Pots
Creating Naked and packaging-free products at LUSH is at the core of our philosophy. In fact, 46% of our products are currently sold Naked. But really, who doesn't love it naked? However, there are some absolutely gorgeous ingredients that have incredible benefits for your hair and body that can't be made into a solid form. For those products we use bottles and pots, and we've done our best to source options that lessen our impact on the environment.
Shama, our Green Officer shares her easy tips on recycling and reusing our black pots and bottles.

Make Me Over: Our New Look
How do you make a LUSH product even more enjoyable? By making it even easier to use, of course. With this in mind we set about giving our product labels a sleek new makeover. Now when you hit the bottle, or pot, you'll be greeted by a friendly new face (and face sticker). We made the labels easier to read, and added some helpful tips and tricks so you can get the most out of your new shampoo, shower gel, or moisturizer. Let's break it down.
Making a List and Checking it Twice
As always, we list our ingredients quantitatively, from what we use most to what we use least. Our new labels now distinguish between natural ingredients and safe synthetics (in italics). There's also a featured ingredient, so you can learn something new about how the product will benefit your skin.

Put a Name On It
We believe in happy people making happy products! So we give credit where credit is due and put their beautiful faces on our beautiful products. Each bottle features the face sticker of the compounder who made it.
How to Use
Although you may not need it for something like shampoo, we still include a clear how-to section in case you need a gentle reminder.
Top Tip
We want you to have an incredible product experience. So this is where we impart some little known wisdom and tricks on how to use the product for the best results possible.
Good to Know
We want to keep you in the know about what makes our products great. This is where w...

Get It On, and Take It All Off

I love make up. No, I adore make up. I've been playing with brightly colored hues on my lips, cheeks and eyes since I was a child, and have always considered it a medium for self-expression. Twiggy today, Cleopatra tomorrow! (You can imagine my absolute delight when we launched our Emotional Brilliance line this summer.) After all of that experimentation, I've learned one very important lesson: you need a remover to thoroughly cleanse and remove makeup without causing irritation.
Your mother has probably warned you never to sleep with make up on, but have you considered why?
It's because your body temperature naturally rises while you sleep, dilating your pores and allowing whatever is on your face to 'sink in'. Our skin needs time to breathe and just be clean, especially if you're an avid make up fan. Learning how to remove your make up can be just as challenging as applying it-unless you have effective soap-free cleansers like Ultrabland and 9 to 5!

Mark Constantine invented Ultrabland over thirty years ago, and to this day, he calls it "the most recommended skincare product. A LUSH staple."
He used an ancient recipe for an all-purpose salve that includes rose water, almond oil and honey to gently cleanse the skin with minimal aggravation and maximum effectiveness. If you're suffering from problem...
