CCWR in Ontario is dedicated to reducing the negative impact of human activity on wildlife and farm animals. Community education programs encourage people to value living in harmony with wildlife and foster an appreciation of the ways in which animals contribute to our well-being. CCWR speaks out as an advocate for wildlife when their well-being is threatened by land development. It provides rehabilitation care for orphaned and injured wildlife and maintains an animal sanctuary which provides a permanent home to unwanted, neglected or abused farm animals.
LUSH's donation from the Charity Pot program has gone towards building a wildlife enclosure fence. The fence has authorized the Constant Creek Wildlife Refuge to become a Certified Wildlife Custodian according to the Ontario Ministry of Wildlife Resources. This means they will legally be able to provide care to sick, injured or orphaned wildlife and release them back into the wild.
