Para La Tierra is a ground-breaking conservation group based in Paraguay. Their aim is to preserve threatened habitats starting with Laguna Blanca, a reserve that's home to a variety of wildlife. They also promote a responsible approach to reserve management where tourists contribute to social, scientific and conservation projects that are designed to have a positive impact on Paraguay.
LUSH funds went towards the protection of Laguna Blanca Park. The funding is to provide scientific equipment for the conservation of the park, outreach/education equipment and transportation. Laguna Blanca has been identified by Conservation International as a 'biodiversity hot spot' and by Birdlife International as an 'Important Bird Area'. Laguna Blanca is one of the most bio-diverse areas in Paraguay due to its unique location at the frontier of two distinct eco-regions.
