RED Sustainable Travel Project

The waters of Northwest Mexico provide nesting habitat and vital feeding grounds for five species of sea turtle, all of which are in danger of extinction due to poaching, by-catch in fishing gear, pollution and coastal development. RED Travel partners with local communities, fisherman and schools to create sustainable economic opportunities, foster education and conservation awareness, establish long-term stewardship of natural resources and preserve the region’s species and habitat.

How We Helped

Charity Pot support helped fund three academic excursions for students in the towns of Lopez Mateos and San Carlos as part of the Magdalena Bay Youth Educational Trips to learn about sea turtles, marine ecosystems and ocean conservation.
