The ROBVQ distributes 500,000 trees a year through southern Quebec as part of the Operation Bleu Vert. This program educates the public on the issue of blue-green algae, monitors affected areas and manages shoreline development programs to combat the spread of this damaging algae.

How We Helped

With the donation of LUSH and other partners, ROBVQ developed a platform for sharing the best practices for the conservation of the water resources. The funding has helped identifying and promoting those best practices. Based on this work, ROBVQ is now developing a series of regional workshops to help Quebec municipalities adopting and implementing those best practices.
